Nice, clean place with outside and inside dining possibilities. Waited for about 20 minutes outside, no chairs/benches but we found a shady spot and spoke to regulars, and were anticipating a good visit. Seated at a high top in the front of the restaurant. We were superbly zone defense teamed by Megan & Bonnie who left us never wanting or needing anything. Greeted promptly, drinks swiftly, food brought hot and perfect. For the first time in our roundup here (20 restaurants) this is the FIRST to ask how our "poached cooked eggs" should be cooked? (to review if you are curious) Over-easy Sunny side up Soft boiled Hard boiled Basted Over-hard Poached Steam-basted Shirred Scrambled WELL, WELL, WELL this will be interesting as wit all the previous it was PASS/FAIL. It was a) Sal Manilla snotty whites, then b) cooked properly, and c) then any hard yellow to solid ball!!!! Many could not hit the center ring with the desired whites cooked and runny yolk? Traditional poached egg is 'soft' by this criteria so my wife and I ordered them that way. I got the closest to traditional Eggs Benedict w/ham. FIRST up is the fact that these eggs were PERFECT and exactly as ordered and promised. "soft cooked' poached eggs - 10/10!!!!! The first one out of 20 restaurants. The others were good but I am confident the next time there the eggs would AGAIN be spot on! The truffle sauce was very tasty and I like it as a substitute for the traditional Hollandaise - 9/10. the companion mushrooms and arugula a nice touch. The ham was a good product and cooked nicely a simple sliced roll which is better than the shaved lunchmeat pile many other use. I like a thick sliced Canadian type ham for this purpose best - 8/10. The 'biscuit' on the bottom however was a big risk. That did not pay off. Crumbling, dry, and on the top mushy from the sauce and juices. I would NOT order this item again. This biscuit was poor and I actually did not eat them and neither did my wife on her 'shared' benedict - 2/10 Finally the side of hash browns were served hot and were nicely seasoned and tasty - great example - 9/10. So sadly a super effort that puts this at an approximate 5/10. With a swapped out bottom to an English muffin this is an 8/10 to 9/10. My wife got the eggs benedict w bacon, arugula, fried green tomatoes, pesto sauce, and a side of "City Grits" (cheesy grits). As with the foregoing the EGGS WERE PERFECT!! - 10/10. The pesto sauce was an interesting ingredient and it was tasty and appropriate with these ingredients - 8/10. The fried green tomato's were just okay, I am not a fan of crusted/fried foods and I would likely pull these off if I ordered this again. too much saturated fats and oils. This is why we like poached eggs as opposed to fried w/butter and etc - 6/10. The English muffin here was toasted and firm and not soggy. very nice and as expected - 9/10. Bacon was a typical packaged product not exceptional, cooked well, and arrived hot - 7/10. The arugula was a nice add, fresh and crispy. Finally the City Grits (cheesy) and they were just okay, the underlying grits were cooked properly and nice. The cheese was a little too generous and over cheesy for our liking - 5/10. So for the entrée we give this an 8/10 as a very good. A less greasy fried tomato, better bacon and its a hit!! Cheesy grits a no. We like this place and there is PLENTY of other things to check out and try. The folks we talked to were all regulars and VERY happy. The service is exceptional and the facility clean and new. We have marked this for a re-visit at some point!!!! read more

Very disappointed in this restaurant. I ordered an Italian Omelet and much to my surprise it was green in color and contained tough artichoke leaves and a strange puree of kalamata olives dumped on top. I hesitated when the wait person set it down but thought It may taste better than it looked. It did not. Awful. The waitperson never returned to my table so I didn't get a chance to order anything else that was edible. When we checked out, I complained and the manager offered me $5 off my next meal at Station 400. No problem. I won't return. read more

Wonderful environment and very friendly staff. The bathrooms are very clean and the food was absolutely awesome!. Our waitress was extremely attentive, punctual and very friendly. Younger blonde girl with glasses. We had cheesy grits with chorizo sausage and biscuits. My friend had the omelette with spinach. It was just enough. First of all they will cater to what you need / want. I asked for an everything bagel with plain cream cheese tomato and capers and they said no problem. I also go a side of fruit. I know a bagel isn't anything to really fuss about, but I was feeling a bit nauseated and couldn't eat much. The bagel was delicious - and the fruit cup was sweet and fresh. I was really surprised by the fruit. I really really wanted the lemon curd pancakes but I just couldn't bc I wasn't feeling eating anything super sweet. DON'T WASTE YOUR $$ This was my third time for lunch at this restaurant. Today was the worst meal I've had in a very long time. I had the Balsamic Marinated Chicken Sandwich which was supposed to be served with arugula, tomato, goat cheese, basal aioli, on a toasted brioche bun. The chicken was skimpy and extremely tough; I couldn't find the cheese or tomato or basal, and the bun seemed old and dried out. In addition, the sweet potato fries were way over cooked. It was absolutely horrible, and I was extremely disappointed. The two previous times I had been there, it was good. Recently my friends & I had lunch at downtown Station 400; 1 time in Feb & 1 time in March (today). The food was great. The salmon sandwich, club sandwich, French dip & falafel YUM!!! Presentation great! The service was even better as AUSTIN served us both times. We sat on the covered patio with a light breeze. Austin's attention to detail shows why he's manager? assistant manager? Any way Austin is a fantastic plus to an already great place. We'll be back soon! read more

Check out the smoked salmon benedict in the picture - it tasted as good as it looks! English muffin, grilled tomato, smoked salmon, poached egg, hollandaise sauce, and fried capers on top! Yum! It came with pickled onions which I ordered on the side as I worried they might overpower the rest. I am so glad I did, this was such a lovely, gentle way to start the day, sort of like rolling over in bed and finding out you get another hour under that light, soft, fluffy blanket. Top marks! The restaurant itself has a lovely history and hails from IN originally - go figure! The patio is lovely and covered. The only reason we dropped a star was my hubs breakfast. He ordered 'The BIG Breakfast' it was not only remarkably small but the ham was a few of the cheap, paper-thin slices that usually come in the pre-packaged deli meat that we used to buy for our pups. I have been a patron of this restaurant for 3-1/2 years. I live 4 blocks away. I used to go for the very fresh and tasty steak, arugula open faced sandwich on a crisp and tasty bun. They have totally corrupted the sandwich by replacing the steak with very over salted, preserved beef slices with a chemical taste and which made my breath foul. This may be a cost cutting decision. If so it was a bad one. I shall not be returning for lunch. The service is excellent and the server offered to replace but I was in a hurry and very hungry. Not the staff's fault at all. It was a bad business decision as far as this customer is concerned as I have in the past brought friends in for lunch and will not do so again. read more

Came here for breakfast and the service was great. I don't think my coffee was ever more than half empty. I ordered an egg white truffle Benedict. My friend ordered the smoked salmon egg Benedict. And we split the lemon curd pancake. Everything was super rich and heavy so be prepared. I didn't care for the lemon curd pancakes because there was just way to much lemon curd. My Benedict was good and so was my friend's, despite the tail on his egg which concerned him. Overall a good breakfast spot with outdoor seating. read more

This is a great place for all things breakfast and brunch. Anytime I come here it's busy, and you'll always find that there is a waitlist. This time we had to wait at least 20 minutes, but I presume it is due to the extra precautions they are taking over covid -- fewer tables in service. There is a decently sized outdoor area for seating too. The menu is varied but they are know for their eggs Benedict the high come in a range of different styles. The one I ordered came with fried green tomatoes. Service was professional, even if a little slow. Coffee is refillable. Always a good choice for brunch when in Sarasota. Parking was no problem -- closely situated in the Rosemary and downtown areas. read more

Great experience! A very "Old Florida" feel This is such a cute place! The restaurant is located in what used to be an old train station. There are original finishings and touches from the train station throughout the restaurant's decor, right down to the pictures on the walls of the original train station.. Started our meal off with a blackberry bramble mimosa which was absolutely amazing! So full of flavor and quite refreshing. Then there were the entrees which were a lobster and crab omelet, a brown sugar and banana pancake, and a fried green tomato eggs benedict. I highly recommend the lobster and crab omelette and the fried green tomato eggs benedict! My girlfriend and I had a lovely meal at Station 400 for breakfast this Tuesday morning. There was ample seating when we arrived and we chose where to sit. Service was very pleasant and prompt. After scanning their menu, I ordered a French omelette with hash browns and the coconut custard pancakes. My girlfriend ordered the Greek omelette, with hash browns and toast as well. I loved the omelette, which was made with Brie cheese and caramelized onions. Really good! My girlfriend enjoyed her Greek omelette as well. Per great google reviews, we came here for our first time to have brunch, and it was worth the drive and the 30-minute wait. It is located in downtown Sarasota. The place is excellent, and all the staff members were on point to help. Let's talk about our food; French Toast bites were AMAZING and a must-have. Solid brunch place in Sarasota. The variety of mimosas are awesome, and the employees are kind and have a great personality. Always get the large mimosa. Ended up getting the breakfast burrito and it was just the right size with multiple sauces that tasted great. The food here isn't overly fancy or special, it's just that stereotypical place where you get a simple brunch, some mimosas, and continue about your day with a nice buzz.
