Casual, homey, comfortable dining. Creamy potato soup is very good. Grilled chicken sandwich- plain but juicy. Sweet potato fries are thick and tasty. Partner got the tuna melt, not bad. Breakfast served until 3:00. Friendly service. Recommend for a diner kind of place.

I am a regular here. I have been dining here alone for a few years now and I love it. Love the food and love the staff. The ambiance is neighborly, casual, and clean.

Atmosphere - Good. Your typical diner type atmosphere. The restaurant has about a dozen booths and another dozen four tops. Service - Good. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. My only issue was that, when served, the entree was luke warm. Food - Good. The menu is diverse and is pretty much what you might find at a family diner. I ordered a cup of the clam chowder and the chopped steak dinner with mashed potatoes. The restaurant ran out of soup cups and offered a bowl of soup instead. The soup was hot and tasted good, but was so thick that it was more like a stew. The chopped steak was ample and was decent. However, it was warm, not hot. It was close to closing time and so returning to was not practical. Overall Value - Good. Nothing special and not a place that I would patronize again.

I was really in the mood for some good comfort food and thought this place would fit the bill. At 7 pm on a Saturday, there were plenty of empty tables and the atmosphere is decent. Our server was quick to take our drink order and even made us a fresh pot of decaf coffee. The menu is large and has something for everyone. I settled on a cup of the Lemon chicken soup and the open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. The soup arrived quickly and was huge for a cup, but they said it was because they ran out of cups and used a bowl. The first bite had quite the lemon tang to it, but I got used to it the more I ate. There was plenty of chicken and the flavor was good. The most bizarre thing was I found 2 whole basil leaves in my bowl. I always heard that it's very unsafe to serve food with the basil leaves. My sandwich arrived and looked ok, but it really wasn't. It was written up as being slow cooked all day, but it was very tough. I had to cut it up in small pieces so I could chew it. Besides that, the potatoes were barely warm and the sandwich wasn't any warmer. Ugh!

I enjoyed the deluxe blt and the bacon is nice and crispy. The service is always good. I have to get a to go box with the blt.

The food was excellent. We had to wait 15 minutes to get menus until our waitress finished visiting with her friends but if it weren't for that I would have given them 5 stars. Not only was the food excellent there was plenty of it. The taste and flavor was very good and the place was really busy. Great place to eat unless your waitress is preoccupied .

Love the Lemon Chicken Soup

Good place to meet up and eat with family and friends and they have a great coffee shop

Buffalo sauce

I ordered a salad and wings. The kitchen must be extremely unsanitary and the staff is apparently clueless because they sent my order out with plastic in the salad and a mysterious sauce that is obviously not buffalo. The ambiance is too lax.

Honed in on that..... and then she asked if we would like a homemade lemonade, of course, why not! Let me tell you, that was such a refreshing drink. Perfect for the smothering heat. Food came out and I was intrigued. A little different looking than I'm used to but knew it looked delicious. It was!! Mixed all that yumminess together and added a touch of salt on top and it melted in my mouth! No they did not pay me to write this, yes we paid for our food. Next is dessert! I can't remember the name of it but it kind of reminded me of tiramisu with chocolate syrup at the bottom, walnuts and grapes, light fluffy cake, and whipped cream with chocolate syrup over it. It was heaven! Nothing felt heavy in my stomach and I felt very satisfied leaving. We will return!

Super experience at this charming Hungarian restaurant in Bradenton…read more We have never tried Hungarian food, so this sparked our attention. Walked in and let them know it was our first time and Alexa took care of us all the way through. We ordered mushroom crepe that was very tasty. It was called Bakonyi Palacsinta. We shared our entree which was a potato crusted chicken with salad. This is called Karpati Borzacska. Both were amazing and tasty. The cherry on top was our dessert which is a chocolate rum sponge cake with walnut and raisin with chocolate syrup. Sounds rich right? It was not. It was a perfect balance and not too sweet believe it or not. It is called Somloi. The restaurant is charming and shows its Hungarian culture with additional market items on sale and it also shows its family background with the pictures by the bathroom. Loved our experience here and our service. Def happy our first Hungarian experience was right here.

The Toasted Yolk Cafe knocked it out of the park with the Southern Fried Arnold--hands down one of…read morethe best breakfast dishes I've ever had! This creative twist on eggs Benedict is pure Southern comfort food heaven. It starts with two fluffy, perfectly split biscuit halves as the base (way better than the usual English muffin for this vibe), topped with crispy, hand-breaded chicken tenders that are golden, juicy, and seasoned just right. Then come two impeccably poached eggs with those runny yolks that ooze out beautifully when you cut in. The whole thing gets smothered in rich, creamy country sausage gravy that's loaded with flavorful sausage bits and has that perfect peppery kick without being overwhelming. Every bite is an explosion of textures and flavors: the buttery biscuit, the crunchy-yet-tender fried chicken, the silky eggs, and that savory gravy tying it all together. It's indulgent, hearty, and ridiculously satisfying--exactly what you want when you're craving something over-the-top for breakfast or brunch. Served with their hashbrown casserole (which was cheesy, crispy-edged perfection) on the side, I left stuffed, happy, and already planning my next visit. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, service was friendly and quick, and the portions are generous without feeling excessive. If you're anywhere near a Toasted Yolk location, do yourself a favor and order the Southern Fried Arnold. It's not just breakfast--it's a mood-lifting masterpiece. 10/10, will crave forever!
