Well let's say I was not impressed. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and it was ok. Not great at all. Pickens were less than impressive and the dressing and blue cheese were none existence. Let's just say I've had a better chicken sandwich at several places in New Orleans. On the good side they did provide mucho French fries. A person in our party ordered Gumbo. Tasted pretty good but the price for a bowl was high. I've had equivalent gumbo all over the city. I kinda doubt if I'll return. read more

" Very Good Crab Benedict " We went to Station 6 Seafood & Oyster Bar for lunch and had a very nice meal. We started our meal with some Bloody Mary's which were very good.I had the Crab Benedict with Hollandaise sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very tasty. Above the Average Cuisine We went here to check out the food due to good reviews and were pleasantly surprised to officiate. I ordered the special fried soft shell crab with lump crab meat topping and asparagus and potatoes that accompanied. Appetizer was yellowfin tuna crackers. My companion ordered sloppy drew roast beef sandwich. All of the food was simple excellent. Service was great. There's not much more to say. read more

Stumbled upon this spot after intending to go to another restaurant on the Lakefront that was WAY too crowded (especially considering Covid). Weather was nice, so we sat outside and enjoyed a lovely evening of great food and service. Waiter was professional, knowledgable and kind, crawfish-spinach dip was like nothing I've ever tasted, and the fried-chicken sandwich was up there with any in the city. Not something I would typically notice at a restaurant of this caliber, but the fries were outstanding - I like that kind of attention to detail. Also super happy to see Dixie Voodoo on the menu - can't find that everywhere. Will be back. read more

Phil, our waiter, made our night!! Seriously, he took our dining experience to the next level. He knew the menu so well, was extremely attentive to anything we needed (usually before we asked), & kept us laughing. Great place to eat seafood and you won't be disappointed! We sat outside with the fan blowing and it was not bad. We ordered sizzling garlic shrimp, 1.5 dozen raw oysters, fries, two soft shell crab specials, small kale salad, and soup du jour: shrimp and corn bisque. Go ahead and order everything but the bisque. Bisque had pureed corn which I'm not used to and it was not flavorful how I make it at home. The roasted poblano vinaigrette on the kale salad did not wow me but the goat cheese made the salad awesome! The sizzling garlic shrimp was great but I wished they gave more bread with it. Make sure you eat it while the butter is hot! The raw oysters were big and tasty. My four year old daughter ate nine oysters by herself! Their cocktail sauce was great and there were plenty of lemons. Their fries were really delicious! They tasted like McDonald's fries (compliment) but with more crispness to them. Their crab cake comes with one big, crispy, breaded crab cake. It was all crab inside and tasted great, even without the sauce. I read the Yelp tips while trying to figure out what to order and many people recommended the soft shell crab. I ordered jumbo blue crabs the night before and this crab looks about the same size! It was all edible, which made the meal so unforgettable. There was also added some lump crabmeat on top so it was a great meal. The batter was crispy but not too much seasoning in it. It was on top of some asparagus and new potatoes. We came here for appetizers only because we had a dry aged steak at home cooking in the sous vide water bath. We left here full! First we start with a cocktail because why would I not? Thinking sazaerak or old fashion. Hmmmm. Let's go Nola and have the sazerak. No regrets! Fantastic. But what about the appetizers? Sure. Jumbo Lump Crab cake. Think large chunks of tasty crab. Mucho deliciouso!!! On to the main course. Fish of the day - trout! Omg. This is what I want for my my last meal! Sitting on top of mashed taters - can't go wrong there! Covered with a fantastic cream sauce. What about desert? Hmmmm. Bread pudding sounds delicious. But the wifey want 3 berry cobbler. This place is great! They have a variety of menu items to please anyone's appetite! Although ordering during this pandemic left me to choose from a limited menu, I chose the chicken sandwich. I can't never resist a chicken sandwich when I see one! I liked how it was a little spicy, but not too much! It was crunchy and the bun was perfectly toasty. The to go box was basically filled up with French fries, which is not a bad thing, I just got full really fast eating them! It was the second Friday of Lent, and when my dad suggested we have lunch somewhere, I was a good Catholic and suggested a seafood restaurant. Not that Station 6 doesn't have meat, but a good rule of thumb is stick to what the place specializes in. We were here a little after the lunch rush and were seated inside immediately. They also have lovely outdoor seating, but it was fairly warm on this day, so I chose to sit in the a.c. Looking over the menu, everything looked incredible. I had heard raves about quite a few dishes here, and I decided to go with the trout almondine. The trout was perfectly prepared and was topped with a nice butter sauce. It also came with a side of new potatoes and asparagus, which I only ever enjoy in restaurants, so I consider that a treat. My photo doesn't do this dish justice at all: the fish was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The potatoes and asparagus were nice and buttery and all of the flavors of the food blended together wonderfully. The portion was light and great for lunch. My one complaint is the wait time for the food. Usually when I go to a restaurant for lunch I expected to be in and out within about 45 minutes, max. Well, from the time we ordered to the time the food hit the table, 30 minutes had passed. I guess that one could argue it's because the meal was made-to-order and it takes time, but with only a few other people eating I was kind of baffled why it took so long. It's not a a big deal, but it's worth noting if you have a limited lunch hour. The service here was excellent, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delectable. I'll be back. read more

Potatoes were crisp despite being packed for travel and full of flavor. Husband ordered the catfish appetizer and the smoked fish dip - both were gobbled down and satisfying. I sneaked a piece of catfish and found it well-Fried, not greasy, and well seasoned. We also had a bonus bread pudding in our order (we didn't order - unsure if mistake or lagniappe for an end-of-the-day-order) but lemme tell you, next time we will *absolutely* order it because it was delicious: well baked, great texture, and the sweet sauce accompaniment was perfect. So..., Went to Station six again last night, yes two nights in a row. This time had appetizer special crawfish corn bread stuffed oysters. Man....it was so good I ordered it as a side dish with my entrée. Also had the smoked salmon dip and the spinach and crawfish dip. Both were very good but the salmon dip was my favorite. Ordered the salmon tacos which only come 2 per order but were a decent size and full of salmon. I ordered that so I could have room for the second order of oysters . Our meal was perfect. Fresh flounder, haricot verts (green beans prepared better than I have them ANYWHERE) pecan rice. I had a chop salad that did not disappoint, and proved to be lip smacking good. Catfish was excellent. Iced tea was just brewed and tasted that way. We had not been in quite awhile. We will definitely return when we want a nice meal. We will also return for our other fave, raw oysters during the Saints Games! And impeccable service, and when asked if our meal was good...we did not have answer to be polite; we were so very pleased with our meal, and showed it with our smiles & response. We mentioned the meal we had locally the night before...at a place in Metairie..and said that we should have came to Station 6 the night before, too! Station 6 is really a refreshing addition to the Bucktown area with a much more modern and fresh appeal in regards to both the food and the ambiance. We started with the crabmeat casserole served with toasted bread. It was rich and loaded with crabmeat. Definitely not much filler in this dip. The fried oyster BLT comes with 6 oysters and a strip of bacon. It tasted great! But for $19, I probably wouldn't get it again as it was kind of on the small side. The 6 seafood salad was great and loaded with fresh seafood. The goddess dressing was very light so the seafood was the star of the dish as it should be. You can't leave without trying the buttermilk drop bread pudding. It was exactly the way you'd expect it to taste. Like heaven. No issues with the service. Very attentive and knew a lot about the menu. Not overly friendly like you might get at other Bucktown establishments with phrases like "What you want, baaaaaaaaaaby?". Station 6 is a nice addition to the Bucktown restaurant scene. I am a creature of habit. Whenever I am in the Lakeview/Bucktown area I am doing one of a few things. That list includes driving home, cruising by the point, and going to R&O's. This trip I was in town for work and decided an R&O trip was in order. I headed there and low and behold; it was slammed. I'm talking people out the door slammed. That meant I needed a new place to eat, and boom. Station 6 was right there and it was really great. Since I just described how I got here I want to be clear about something. Station 6 is much more upscale than the restaurant I had originally chosen. That being said, it is upscale yet casual and does not at all feel pretentious. Like I said, it fits in well with the area. The host stand was located right outside the door and I was seated immediately. Everyone I encountered from the hosts, server, chef, and owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. You could tell that everyone involved enjoyed their job and cared about the business. For food I decided their bone in NY Strip looked good. My only issue was that it came with some sort of spinach dish and I am not a fan of the green stuff. They had absolutely no issue swapping the green stuff for fries which made me a happy dude. The steak was perfectly cooked to my requested medium rare. It isn't often that I am able to order a bone in strip, but more places should do this. The steak was juicy and flavorful and my only issue with the bone was that I felt weird picking it up to gnaw on. But I wanted to. If you find yourself in Lakeview or Bucktown and want a more upscale dining experience, I encourage you to give Station 6 a try. read more

Over priced and inconsistent. Sometimes they knock it out of the park and other times the food is bland. The waiters pretend to know the menu but it's often obvious they have never eaten the food they are recommending. It's also annoying that this restaurant will not split tabs but offer to seat your party at separate tables!! What????? This restaurant has the potential to be great if they will loose their arrogant attitude! DUDE, that doesn't look good on anyone. DROP THE ATTITUDE AND WORK ON THE FOOD!!! What a pleasant surprise for an impromptu Sunday lunch! We sat outdoors under the patio that features numerous fans and portable AC's to combat the heat. The food is really fresh and tasty. We started with the Yellowfin Tuna Crackers which had great flavor. It is a raw tuna tartare type dish served with a fresh slaw and avocado.
