We were one of a few people that just arrived and the ambience was beautiful. Nice wooden tables and the golden pig was a cute touch to view upon entering. We sat at the bar and ordered an old fashion. They have several bourbons to choose from and their well happens to be Buffalo Trace. Not bad for a well. The ice cube had "B" engraved to add sophistication to the cocktails. For our meal, we had the catfish platter that consists of 2lb of fish, coleslaw, hush puppies and fries. There is an up charge (like most places) to substitute but why do that when everything was delicious. The service was decent and if we needed anything all of the team members behind the bar helped out. I will come back to this location again during happy hour!

We had given them a month to settle down from their opening. It was worth the wait. We arrived just before Happy Hour ended. My wife ordered a glass of wine and I had the house old fashion. We ordered our meals and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant while we waited. The food was great. My wife had the chicken sandwich she said had a great taste. I had the fried Gulf shrimp platter. They nailed it. Service was good and friendly. Definitely a hit.

Truly a quintessential New Orleans spot,…read more Nothing captures the vibe better than a Friday afternoon at Bayou Beer Garden in Mid-City--perfect weather, wonderful music humming in the background, friendly chatter all around, and that irresistible aroma of freshly boiled crawfish wafting through the air. This place is fantastic whether you're popping in for after-work drinks, or even a platter of their seasonal crawfish (often cash only from the vendor, around $19 per box with fixings--check their Instagram for updates). a solid menu of bites like poppers, crab cakes, fries, and burgers, plus that expansive outdoor seating connected to Bayou Wine Garden, it's an ideal hangout to soak in the evening bliss of NOLA. The staff is typically kind and efficient, handling the packed crowds with ease despite all the requests. Give it a try--whether you're a local or a tourist, you'll feel right at home by the bayou. Highly recommend

The recent expansions have made it even better for boils, but fair warning--it gets crowded fast because the outdoor vibe is so good! Great beer list (taps, bottles, and cans) and surprisingly good margaritas, too. It's the kind of spot you love and hate at the same time just because it's so popular. If you're lucky enough to find a seat during crawfish time, you're in for a treat.

We often use this as a stopping place to use the bathroom and figure out where we are going next. I like that they advertise they have plenty of bathrooms as there is nothing I hate more than a large brewery with one bathroom. We found this to be walking distance from our more tourist area hotel, but others may feel it is not, although I do believe its close to a bus line. This place has a nice vibe and friendly service. We visited pretty close to opening and it was not crowded. It looked like there was a nice outdoor seating area as well, but after the walk we were happy to be inside where it was cooler. I also appreciate being able to charge my phone while I drink my beer. I was a little sad that it was not open at the same time as the bagel place next door as I really wanted to check that out as well. They do acknowledge their focus is not food, but sounds like they have food trucks at times. Unfortunately I can't recall what beers we tried, but I am sure they were delicious.

I'd never even heard of the place, and after experiencing it, I honestly don't know how that's possible. We walked in to a packed house and got lucky, snagging two seats at the bar. We started with cocktails: the Hole Molé (Milagro Reposado, Ancho Reyes Verde, red pepper, lime, cocoa bitters) and the Charlotte (jalapeño infused vodka, Combier d'Orange, lemon, lime, strawberry). I loved my Hole Molé, but the Charlotte had a nice kick to it, like a spicy, refreshing fruit punch. Yum. We split a bowl of turtle soup. It was good, but not great; solid, though missing something we couldn't quite put our finger on. The sandwiches, on the other hand, were pure perfection. I had the duck pastrami with added Gruyere and Russian dressing on the side, and she had the meatloaf sandwich. More yum. Rosedales is a genuinely cool neighborhood spot with fantastic customer service. Staff and fellow diners alike were incredibly friendly. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular without question.

I'm not sure about parking as I walked to the brewery on my recent visit. This brewery has a great feel that hearkens back to a cozy neighborhood pub - eclectic seating divided between a couple of rooms with a small bar and a simple setup including around 9-10 taps. I felt right at home. Flights included four 5 ounce pours for $19. Food is mostly supplied by Shift Kitchen but you're basically invited to bring in anything you want. I tried the following: * 90s Women's Power Ballads - IPA - New England / Hazy 6.6% ABV - Pretty decent hazy NEIPA, Guiyang body with notes of citrus, finishes hoppy and a touch floral. 4/5 * Tenant - Bitter/Best 4.1% ABV - Very nice sweet malty bitter, notes of toasted bread, slightly toasted peanut, finishes appropriately dry and somewhat mildly bitter. 4/5 * Mr. Words Is A Monster - Pilsner/Other 5.5% - Interesting XPA, crisp body, hint of orange peel finishing hoppy, hint of pine and black pepper. 4/5 * I Am A Donut - Sour - Berliner Weisse 4.2% - Light bodied sour, fruity body with notes of sweet mango. 4/5 * Notice Me Senpai - Porter - Imperial / Double 8.1% - Tasty porter with notes of dark chocolate, English toffee and roasty coffee, almost creamy body finishing dry. 4/5 In general all the beer I indulged in were good, I think this is probably the best brewery I tried in my recent trip to New Orleans. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable, able to answer all my questions. I could tell this was a local spot - I engage in conversation with a few of the patrons and they mostly lived nearby. This is a top-notch hangout with a great local vibe.
