I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Station Dental. In 2024, I paid $400 for a custom mouth guard to help treat my TMJ pain. After making the payment, I never received the mouth guard. Throughout 2025, I repeatedly followed up with the staff during my six-month cleaning appointments, asking in person about the status. Each time, I was told to wait, but nothing was ever resolved. I Eventually, I spoke with the manager, TRENTON WALLS about the issue. Instead of receiving a refund, I was told they could not refund my payment because too much time had passed in their system. The only solution offered was to provide me with the mouth guard for free. Its been 2026, that offer no longer made sense. I had already started orthodontic treatment with braces for a while which successfully addressed my TMJ issue. A mouth guard is no longer useful because my treatment has already changed. I paid $400 for something I never received when I actually needed it. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I was patient, followed up multiple times over the course of two years, and still did not receive the or a refund I ask with the staff. I'm very disappointed with my experience. I scheduled an appointment over the phone and spent about eight minutes with the representative making sure everything was set. Less than five minutes later, I received another call informing me that I would need to arrive 30 minutes early because the appointment had been scheduled incorrectly by the employee. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, the office expected me to adjust my schedule to accommodate it. When I called back, another representative answered and confirmed that I had spoken with her earlier, so I made sure to get her name because I was told that would help resolve the issue. However, when I tried to speak with a different employee afterward, I was told, "You couldn't have spoken to her because she was in a procedure at that time." That directly contradicted what I had just been told by the person who answered the phone. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism was extremely frustrating. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. Rather than working with me to correct their error, I was left feeling blamed for something that wasn't my fault. I hope management sees this review and takes a closer look at the customer service and communication practices within the office. Patients deserve a more organized and respectful experience. read more

The tech bruised my mouth while trying to get X-rays, and they pushed a deep cleaning on me without ever discussing it with me first. I actually had to interrupt them to say no while they were already talking to other staff about it. When they did the regular cleaning, it felt like they spent maybe five minutes on my mouth, almost like they were annoyed that I didn't agree to the deep cleaning on the spot during my very first visit to their office. I felt like I had to defend myself at every turn at this office to make sure I didn't walk out without my wallet. When I went to pay, the person at the front desk didn't acknowledge me for about a minute and then told me I could leave with an attitude. I'm honestly convinced they had my review deleted, because I know I wrote one. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist. These services are expensive and painful. If I could give a minus star I would. I was told my insurance covered a crown 100% So I booked an appointment. I showed up and they told me my insurance only covered 30% My insurance has not changed in years. They wanted $795.00 before I sat in the chair. I said, I could not afford it. They said they'd finance it. I again, said, no and walked out. Then, they sent me a text for a bill for $150.00 for leaving!!!! WTH? I grew up in the dental industry. My father was a dentist for 40 years. My teeth are perfect. Now I am questioning whether I ever needed the crown in the first place. I will get a second opinion. This is a scam dental office. Be VERY careful with the wheatridge/lakewood office. They drill holes in your teeth to charge you for fillings. The dentist Dr. Grant didn't take an xray or even take a look, before coming out with a syringe to go to work. He previously hammered my tooth and caused nerve damage that lasted about 5 months. Terrible experience, stay away!!! I started going a little over a year ago for routine cleanings and periodontal maintenance because my previous dentist stop taking UHC insurance. Each time I would go back there were different employees and techs at the desk and in the back. The last time I went for routine maintenance, as usual I didn't recognize anyone. The tech came in and started taking X-rays and I asked "again?" and she said yes. My insurance will only pay for one set of X-rays per year unless I'm having major work. The tech started to take X-rays of my teeth with my partial still in my mouth! I asked her if she would like for me to remove it and she got a funny look on her face and said "yea". Duh! Later she tried to floss between my two bridges which is impossible, I explained that to her. I stopped at the desk on my way out and asked what I owed and I was told "nothing, it's all covered by insurance". That was on 8/15/24. I got a denial notice from my insurance company for the X-rays so I called the office was told Station dental would just "write it off, because it was a mistake". Later, Station Dental sent me a text back on 9/9/24 telling me that I owed another $69 ?! I called them and they said I owed $35, so I just paid it. I asked them if there was any other outstanding balances and they said no. Then today 11/25/24 I received another text telling me I owe $100. I called the office and asked what that charge was for and the clerk at the desk couldn't tell me, he said I would have to speak with the office manager and she wasn't in. I asked him what days she worked and he refused to tell me. After my last visit to Station Dental I asked them to send my records to my new dentist 4 times and it was never done. Twice they emailed me my X-rays to my personal account embedded in the email (not even as an attachment). I went to my new dentist last week and they still had not send my records after 3 months. I provided all the information they needed. How hard is that? If you decide to go to Station Dental, good luck. You will need it. read more

Had a very unpleasant interaction trying to get a billing statement resolved. I received a billing statement for $200 for a routine cleaning on December 6th (despite having insurance) and called the office the same day to inquire about the balance. I was told that the office manager was the only person who could discuss billing inquiries and they would reach out to me via e-mail on Monday, December 9th. Monday came and went and I did not receive an e-mail. On Thursday, December 12th, I received a notification of a revised balance of $34. I reached out to the office via text the same day and was told the manager would give me a call within 48 hours (so by close of business on Saturday, December 14th). That timeframe came and went and still nothing from the office manager. Today, December 19th, I called the office myself and was finally put in touch with the office manager. I was told that the balance of $34 was from a prior visit for services that were not covered by insurance, which is fine, I'm happy to pay that. However, when I voiced my frustration about having to contact the office 3x over 2 weeks, being promised a response twice and not receiving it timely as promised, I was very disappointed with the office manager's defensive response. I was told that she is very busy and is reconciling patient balances from as long as 2 years ago, and that she personally did not promise me any response. It isn't my problem that you're busy, everyone is busy, and your office made that promise of a timely response, so that deflection that she didn't personally promise to reach out to me is wildly unprofessional and very poor customer service. Your organization made a promise to help me resolve this, and you either couldn't or wouldn't keep that promise. This also isn't the first time I've had billing issues here. When I came in for my cleaning in May, their system was unable to verify insurance coverage (and I've gone to this same dentist several times over the past 4 years, always with the same exact insurance). I asked that she cancel my future cleaning in 6 months, and I'll go ahead and find a new dentist going forward. Hopefully wherever I go next will have better billing and customer service practices. read more

I went here a couple of times because my insurance changed and I needed to find a new dentist. I went for a routine cleaning and they told me I had 11 cavities. Actually, it was the financial secretary who went over my X-rays and the $3,600 bill to discuss my treatment plan. I was shocked I had so many cavities since I have gone to the dentist regularly throughout my life. I asked to speak to the dentist to ask if this was a sign of something unusual. He shrugged and really nonchalantly told me this was normal. I scheduled an appointment to get three of them filled because I couldn't afford to do it all at once. After being rescheduled a few times at the last minute by them, I finally went for the appointment to fill three of the cavities. It was a different dentist, there was almost no greeting, she was training someone and it kind of seemed like a training in how fast they could fill the cavities. They got some string or something stuck but said it wasn't an issue. A couple of days later my tooth became very infected. I went back and the dentist was really flustered and sent me to a specialist. Thankfully he was able to fix the issue without a root canal. After that, I was reluctant go back to them again, even though they kept pestering me to finish my "treatment plan." I visited a different dentist to get another opinion. This dentist took the time to go over my X-rays with me and told me I have NO cavities. If I had stayed with Station Dental, my mouth would be absolutely full of metal and I'd be out nearly $4,000. Since then, I see they have built a nice, new office across the street and I am sure will be looking for more people to rip off to pay the rent. I would encourage those of you looking for a new dentist to keep looking! read more

Went to this office one time and had a very bad experience that now continues two years later. During the visit (3/2023) both the dentist and hygienist were talking about how they did not want to be there while working on me. I then said I did not want to schedule a future visit and they did anyway then tried to charge me a cancellation fee for a visit I never wanted or asked for. Fast forward to now when I just received a message saying I owed them almost $400 for a visit in 2/2024 that never happened. When I called they said corporate was really cracking down on unpaid bills. Which I replied no corporate is committing insurance fraud. They are sketchy and I would not trust them. This is my first time writing a Yelp review, and unfortunately, it's for the worst experience I've ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. I know that is very cliche but I really mean it. DON'T GO HERE. I had four cavities filled, and not only did they have to redo two of them, they didn't even fix it right on their second try. I ended up going to a different dentist to fix all four cavities, and they told me I would have been better off if I had never gotten them filled in the first place--this place actually made my cavities worse. If you have any dental anxiety, don't come anywhere near this place. The dentist and assistants spend more time gossiping about coworkers than focusing on patients. The X-rays they take are blurry, and the whole operation feels like a money grab. It seems like the dentist is more interested in cramming in as many procedures as possible rather than doing quality work. The only positive aspect of this place is the friendly front desk staff, but that's not enough to make up for the terrible experience. read more

My husband and I went there today (12/10/24) as new patients. First off when I called to make the appointments I asked for back to back appointments. That didn't happen. I went first, I made sure to tell the receptionist that all I needed was a referral to a specialist. I was expecting to fill out paperwork before being taken to the back. That didn't happen. They waited until I was done to give me the paperwork to fill out. It's a good thing I wasn't in a hurry. However, they had my husband sitting in the lobby for 15 minutes waiting when he could've been filling out his paperwork; but instead they gave it to him at the end; ONE AND A HALF HOUR later. Unlike me, he didn't have time to fill out the paperwork since he had to go back to work. I found the whole experience to be unpleasant, unprofessional and condescending. Stay away, unless you like being talked down and your time being wasted. read more

I had several crowns done at this office. The last visit was terrible. The dental assistant broke my crown, made another and broke it then finally got it right. I sat for 3 hours in a room with no one checking to see if I was okay. Now I am battling with the group about a credit on my account that I asked for a refund. It has been 4 months and still no response other than it has been turned over to the person responsible. No phone calls or updates. I cannot recommend this dental office. read more

I canceled my appointment. I was not comfortable with the type and amount of information they required in the online new patient form. In addition, I needed both a cleaning and a cap replaced. Instead of making the appointment for the cap replacement (which most would consider the more urgent need) they scheduled the appointment for the cleaning. All of this is through the online format so I couldn't speak to anyone. I can't recommend this office. read more

Horrible experience! I didn't get blessed with good teeth so I've had multiple cavities and even root canals that I've never experienced this kind of jaw pain after they filled my cavity, starting with getting numb... I knew something wasn't right when they numbed me the first time then dr grant started to re fill my cavity that was worn and I could feel everything so he injected me 2 more times. NOT GENTLE. Once he left the dentist assistant took over and started to fill the cavity and she was loosing the same screw in my mouth it's was horrible. Once I left as the numbing wore off my tooth was never polished correctly. I currently cannot open my jaw. I'm going to get a second opinion because being at work after a fill shouldn't be a problem and I've been in pain taking over 800mg of ibuprofen. SO NICE. These guys are so so nice. I had issues with my insurance and they were very kind and patient and helped me figure it out. They offered me a first time patient deal because of the issues through insurance which helped a lot. They even stopped on the way to their lunch to help me get the insurance information updated. I have some fear and some not so great experiences with dentists and I didn't experience that at all here. They took their time, explained everything to me, step by step, before anything happened in my mouth. The lady who took my ex-rays was so kind. Made sure I was comfortable during the awkward pictures and took off the plastic thing for ex-rays and even held it in her hand to make sure I wasn't experiencing any undue discomfort. (She gave me tissues and some comfort when I cried)(thank you so so much, I'm sorry I forgot your name) I HIGHLY recommend this dentist office. read more

I asked for a standard cleaning appointment and they tacked on other services that weren't covered by my insurance. They knew they were elective because when I asked why my bill was so high they told me they offer elective services that insurance doesn't cover that I can decline. I was shown a list of services that would be provided, prior to the appointment, but it was never mentioned that any of the services were elective and they all appeared standard to me. I would recommend asking what insurance will cover too because I was surprised with an additional charge months later. I've gone to the same dentist in my home town since I was a child. After finding my new home in Denver I figured it was time to finally switch my dentist. Now in my mid 30s I was looking to have a some outstanding work done on my wisdom teeth, get a professional opinion for some gum recession, and explore options around clear aligners to restore my smile. I finally settled on Dr. Grant and his team after months of research and I could not have been happier with my experience. It has everything I want from my dental experience. A kind courteous staff that truly cares about your comfort, makes sure you understand all of your treatment options, and works with the utmost care in all that they do. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff as a whole, from the kind ladies at the front desk, the dental hygienists and all of their hard work, and finally Dr. Grant himself, leading by example with a kind heart-focused on great outcomes.
