The standouts were the Citico. El Bandido Yankee Tequila, Fair Kumquat, Aperol, Orange Tea, Superfoam. Delicious. So smooth and refreshing. Also the Smoke. Old Forester Bourbon, Orange & Apple Bitters, Bacon Maple Cube, Apple Smoke. Sweet but got better as the bacon ice cube melted. Came with a ghost sort too. For food we grabbed the chips. Very tasty with a nice Gorgonzola drizzle. We also grabbed the meatballs. Very tasty. Intense flavors and cooked very well. Bartenders were awesome and food came out fast. This spot has been on our must-try list for quite some time, and we finally made it the other night with friends. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with its outdoor area and grand pillared entrance. We were warmly greeted by the host and seated immediately. The space is much larger that it appears from the outside, and the tables are spread out enough to keep conversations private-almost too spread out, as they could easily fit another table or two in each room. Our server was warm, friendly and extreamely knowledgeable about the menu. He gave us plenty of time to decide and offered a few helpful recommendations. The guys ordered filet mignon, I chose the market fish special (grouper) and my friend ordered the salmon. Three of us started with the Caesar salad and the heirloom tomato salad, while another friend opted for the rabbit agnolotti appetizer. While he enjoyed it he said there wasn't enough rabbit. The salads were spot on. Our server had a perfect sense of timing-he appeared right when we needed him, and every course was delivered with ideal spacing. We never felt rushed, and the whole evening felt calm and elegant. There is also an incredible wine room - floor-to-ceiling bottles, row after row. The cocktail list was just okay, I wish there were more options. I started with a cocktail but switched to a Bordeaux, which paired nicely with my meal. Everything we ordered was delicious. The filets come a la crate, so we added whipped mashed potatoes and mushrooms. The potatoes were silky smooth and absolutely wonderful. My husband declared the filet one of the best he's ever had. Even at just seven ounces, it was surprisingly filling. The price tag was hefty, but in his opinion, worth every single penny. For dessert, my husband ordered vanilla and cinnamon ice cream and our friends had a slice of flourless chocolate torte. I had a few bites of the ice cream and it was silky and smooth. It was definitely one of the most expensive meals we've had lately, but between the food, service and atmosphere, it was worth it. Rococo Steak has been recommended to me for years and I finally made it there. Had a great dinner here last night for a private event. Service was attentive, friendly, but still not intrusive. Ambience was impeccable, with music at a very low level for ease of conversation. Furniture was aesthetically beautiful and also very comfortable. I ordered the 7 oz. filet mignon with broccolini and whipped potatoes. Phenomenally-seasoned steak, great cut, could be cut with a butter knife -- but was unfortunately quite blue inside (ordered medium rare). The potatoes and broccolini were absolutely divine however -- and so was my local greens salad with some of the best cheese I've had on an app in Tampa Bay. Would I come back? Absolutely, but I would send my steak back if it came back that blue (too raw) again, as I suffered mild food poisoning and couldn't sleep last night because of it. read more

This was a very good steakhouse, but our favorite part of our meal was the crab fritter, we also shared the heirloom tomato salad and we both ordered the prime filet mignon! Our steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking and we shared a side of their Parmesan truffle fries, these were just OK nothing to shout about! But the stars of the meal were the filets and the crab fritter! We can't stop thinking about that crab fritter! We also got an order of the white chocolate bread pudding but it was also just Ok! So my recommendation would be to try the crab, maybe even order it as an entree with other sides! The place was nicely decorated for the holidays and the tables were well spaced! I enjoyed this place, especially for happy hour -- 8.5/10 easily. You can feel their intention in trying to elevate the experience from the moment they open the door upon your arrival. TLDR; good food, great drinks & service can be hit or miss. I've had a few proseccos and chardonnays here that I enjoyed. The cocktails were always artful and spectacular, clearly made with a delicate hand. I recommend the Soleil with my whole heart as a Cognac lover. Sweet, smooth taste with a foamy finish, I could keep going back for more. It had a bunch of ingredients I've never had, or never heard of, and blew my mind. A peachy color with a very French 125-esque. For food, I've tried the sliders (good but nothing to write home about) and the meatballs. The meatballs were moist and earthy, very flavorful -- but the real coup was the sweet, punchy sauce cradling them. the bread was herbaceous. angle cut and thick. Our waitress hovered for a bit, but then service became super European when we were done ordering (I had to flag down for water and the check...). Other than that, I loved the experience here. We have been here a couple of times, and have enjoyed our meals. We've sat outside which is very pleasant and we've also sat inside which is very nice as well. The tables are generally nicely spaced which enables private conversations, but sadly doesn't stop people from dressing poorly and speaking very loudly. Where have civility and basic manners gone to? I recommend that you adopt the same dress code that Ruth Chris' recently adopted. It is just wrong to have women in cut off jean shorts and men wearing baseball hats while patrons are there for a high class, $150+ per person, meal. I shouldn't have to be next to individuals who think they are at a ballpark and dressing and behaving accordingly. The one complaint we had with the actual meal was the creme brûlée dessert which was a single mouthful. I'm not sure I have ever seen such a small offering of this dessert. Rococo's reminds me of a Wisconsin supper club ambience (just moved from Wisconsin). Loved the moody and romantic atmosphere. We went for a date night and had a wonderful evening. I'd say the dress code is like any steakhouse business casual although I tend go a little more formal. Service was impeccable with our server making great suggestions and walking us through the menu. Hubby had the duck and it was perfectly prepared coming in only second to a favorite restaurant of ours in Nevada...so impressive. Ended the dinner with their dessert donuts! So delicious. I had heard and also been made fun of by others that my preferred steakhouse in tampa is outdated and for old people. So on that note I decided to give this place a try. It is clearly a very nice place and the service was good. When it came to the steak , I wasn't very impressed . i ordered the prime filet , mashed potatoes and truffle fries. I personally found it disappointing that they didn't have a baked potato option. As far as I'm concerned i feel like thats a must have with a great steak! Regardless of that my filet , had a good sear and crust but the steak overall was just average tasting. I tried it with a little of the red onion marmalade and I was not a fan. The mash potatoes were not anything above what someone could get at KFC , however the truffle fries were good . For desert we had the flourless chocolate cake. was just very average. In my opinion this steakhouse is not anything out of the ordinary with the exception of their wine list, which according to our waiter is the second largest in the Country. Their sommelier was very helpful in guiding us toward a nice, reasonably priced 2021 Torbreck Cuvée Juveniles that we liked so much we tried to order a second bottle... but alas that was their last one. So much for that extensive wine collection. The menu has the usual sides one finds at a good steakhouse, which were mostly very good with the exception of some green beans loaded with cumin... nope, and mushrooms which tasted like they were pickled due to being doused in balsamic vinegar. Our steaks were juicy and tender albeit overpriced. Steak quality seemed on par with other similar restaurants. A beef tartare app was unique in that it was served atop something akin to a thick potato wedge and included kimchi and sesame garlic aioli, which was interesting but not my cup of tea as I tend to be more of a traditionalist when it comes to such classics. Our server was competent but removed, lacking any of the personal touches that can make a restaurant visit even more enjoyable. Overall a LOT of money for a good but not great meal. read more

We had not been there before so did not know their menu. Everything is ala-carte which is weird for the price of their dinners. And all the side dishes are expensive and made for more Han one person. So if you are the only one at your table that wants mashed potatoes you will pay $13.00 for that. Now comes the steak. I love a good ribeye. I know a "good" ribeye can be expensive so I ordered being told these were special beef. $95.00 later, the steak I was served was 30% fat. Not marbled, hunks of fat. This steak at best was average. Our dinner was over $200.00 plus and was less than memorable. We will not be returning. read more

I was excited to finally try this place after hearing about it for a long while. Came here on a weeknight with a group of about 14 friends. Upon arrival, we were given the option of indoor or outdoor. The heat and humidity decided it for us - inside it was! Our server was the best! She was on top of everything and made sure that everyone was OK at all times. Someone at the table mentioned that their old-fashioned cocktails were really good. Several of us decided to order one. They were in fact really good. I also ordered the oysters rockefeller as a starter. I wasn't really that impressed with it. They were really small and barely had any oyster at all. The preparation and presentation was on par, just the size. Sometimes it is all about the size! I went with the strip as the main, and requested a medium rare temperature. The steak was really good and cooked to perfection. I had also ordered the mac-n-cheese and to be honest it was very unimpressive. All in all a great visit with a great group of friends. I love this spot! The food and drinks were amazing! Their Bees Knees drink is the best I've ever had, I still think about it. The charcuterie board and elk was great too, and we really enjoyed our bananas fosters bread pudding dessert. We have to come back here ASAP! Service was pretty good, no complaints. I ordered the NY strip, which is my favorite cut, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. It was juicy, seasoned just right, and was so tender. My husband got the Chilean sea bass and while I enjoyed it, it just could not measure up to my steak! We also ordered the creamed spinach and Mac and cheese for our sides, both were very good. We went for our anniversary and they allowed us to choose which dessert we wanted on them and I chose the Honey Lavender Cheesecake, because it was highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing. For an appetizer we did the bone marrow. Not the best bone marrow I've ever had but still good. For dinner we had the Brussels sprouts (amazing!), Parmesan truffle fries, and prime filet. All were delicious! Great flavor. For dessert we had the donuts and an apple tart (?). Came here for a birthday celebration. The hostess at the front was very welcoming and sat us down right away even though we were 30 mins early. Our waiter was nice but it was hard to understand him. He spoke really fast and his words blended together. I asked him what the seasonal veggies were and he responded something with sea bass. I think he wasn't really listening to me and told me instead what the speciality was instead. I ordered a filet and my fiancé ordered a ribeye but two filet came out instead. So they bought out a ribeye instead but it was very rare. I think they were rushed to cook it since they mistaken our order. I thought the steaks were tender and juicy but the separate sides were very oily and greasy. The mushrooms were my favorite and it tasted like it was drenched in butter and salt. The mac and cheese and creamy spinach were too heavy for me to eat. For the price, I would recommend going to Bern's in Tampa instead. You'll spend about the same money but the service and atmosphere is way better there. Also, I think the steaks come with salads as well whereas this place did not. I'm a local and have been several times and it's often a place i recommend to anyone asking for a nice place to eat. I was also in the service industry for years so I do not often complain but our service was extremely slow while we were watching the people around us get better service. On top of it the server was rude. We were sat in the back room which is fine but the servers use it as a polishing station So we had to listen to the annoying sound of polishing whine glasses with the polishing machine. It was extremely distracting and totally killed the vibe of the evening. Lastly the food wasn't as good as i remember. Over all it was a lack luster evening and I was regretting suggesting it to me group. The bartenders were awesome though! I don't drink and they made me awesome mocktails all evening. read more

My husband has clients that really enjoy this steakhouse and we were in the area just looking around and decided to drop in. I'm not sure why he chose this place for me as I have rarely ordered steak because I like to have something I don't make at home. I'll do it, but I prefer something more adventurous. Had ceviche ( fine but tiny) shrimp cocktail ( ok, the shrimp were huge which isn't always a good thing) and tuna tartar ( I don't eat that, just not a Tuna fan) but my husband liked it. A couple we were with got steaks which looked really good and it is a steakhouse. No fish of the day. Only salmon ( nope) and branzino ( nope) for fish. You'd think a Florida place could have a local fish. We both got the Caesar salad with spicy bacon dressing which was really excellent but overdressed. I'm mad at myself for not getting it on the side. Crab cake with shishito pepper was tasty but cold. Almost an afterthought. It was like the steaks are the star, now let's go get that lady's crab cake from under the heat lamp. Sides were typical but they didn't have much of a choice and no creativity there either. No asparagus even. Mashed potatoes, broccolini and mushrooms were just fine but nothing to write home about. Service was great. So for a high end steak house it was fine. Had an absolutely lovely anniversary dinner here. The staff were all incredibly professional and knowledgeable which only made the night better. It's a bit pricey but definitely great if you plan on celebrating something. I was wondering after looking at the menu if the steak was really going to be worth more than $50 but it turned out to be one of the tastiest steaks I've ever had. The sommelier was also able to find a bottle of wine that we liked which paired well with our steak. It's very dim in the restaurant. They had us sitting in the front area which felt almost empty like something was missing from the middle of the room but maybe I'm just used to busier places or perhaps I'm building up to much in my head that it used to be a funeral parlor. This is a place that we've heard about and wanted to check out for a while so my husband and I decided to come for his birthday dinner. We wanted to find a good steak house in Saint Pete since it's closer. Dinner here doesn't start until 5 but the bar is open at 4 with happy hour. Happy hour is only at the bar, not the dinner room. We started off with the waygu burger w fries (hubby didn't find anything he'd like on the appetizer menu but the items would be things I'd like). That burger was the best I have had. Now I see the hype with waygu. The garlic aioli was amazing and so flavorful. The truffle parm fries perfection and I am picky with French fries lol. I will say something odd was we noticed the table near us got bread rolls and we didn't until we asked. We were told by the waiter the bread is by request which I have never experienced. Either way the bread rolls were soft and amazing especially the pretzel rolls. Served with rosemary butter which is now the only way I'll have bread with butter because I am not more spoiled lol. We both got the ribeye. Perfect and charred to perfection. Juicy and flavorful. I didnt get a pic of the honey lavender cheesecake as we took it to go but a prrfect blend of flavors. Celebrate our 4 year anniversary at Rococo. We wanted something romantic but not in the typical Tampa area. Was greeted by 2 lovely ladies and shown to our table promptly. The place didn't seem overly crowded but a nice amount was dining in and outside. We reviewed the menu and liked the various items you could select. There's simmering for everyone's palate. The pork belly appetizer and lobster bisque was delicious! Definitely try them both!!! Then we ordered our steaks which were cooked perfectly. I like the fact that the sides could be ordered for 2 people or 4. Most places charge $12-$15 bucks for a shareable side but their's are reasonably priced and pretty good.
