Grits bowl and Uptown Breakfast sandwich

Went twice this week alone! Everything is delicious, and consistent- from the coffee drinks to the pastries. Today we had the Uptown sandwich and Grits bowl. Both fantastic. It gets VERY busy on the weekend, so be prepared for a short wait Well worth it though. Staff is very nice and helpful. Don't sleep On this place!

Visited location after cycling around town with friends. Came highly recommended. Food was amazing, service was exceptional! Can't wait to visit again to try other items.

Jam on it sandwich always hits the spot and a bacon eggs with grits are to die for.

You order first the find a seat, we ordered the jam on it and a bacon egg and grits plate. Then the house black coffee and uptown Latte, it's so yummy to have as a treat. You can't miss their lunch special with their soups on special days. Worth checking out.

Best food experience this year (and yes I know it's late October!) Dan and his staff serve up the tastiest, innovative, and fresh food in an unassuming, centrally located, modern diner-style restaurant in St Pete. Their specialty is breakfast and lunch, but a few times a year they open for dinner and it is ALWAYS EPIC. This time was no exception! I brought two friends from Boston with me for the October Feast, and they were delighted! We wanted to order everything from the special menu (see photo) and settled on Pierogies, Muenster mash grilled cheese (with mushrooms and onions... my favorite of the evening!), the pumpkin chili, and the schnitzel with potatoes and purple cabbage. Every single dish was so delicious, there wasn't a morsel left on anyone's plate. Today, my friends are still raving about the meal and planning their next visit to try out the regular menu. Many thanks to Dan and his staff for a wonderful evening! (Note that my only regret is that my photos can't properly convey the incredible smell and taste for all of you!) P.s. I'm craving the purple cabbage today... who knew cabbage could be an addictive vegetable?

Found a little neighborhood gem in St.Pete that we drove to today for brunch! Some indoor and outdoor seating available after you place your order at the register. We enjoyed the pancakes and the Uptown sandwich (egg, tomatoes, greens, cheese and sauce) as well as an iced toffee coffee and they use Monin syrups (The Best!)! The staff is super friendly and a lot of regulars were greeted by name! They are a part of the In Kind app so you can earn a % of your total back! A fun experience! It's got earthy vibes and the seating is such that you can carry in a conversation with your neighbor and meet new people.

The breakfast sandwiches were fire! It took a while to order, but it wasn't a big deal. Food came out relatively quickly. My only complaint is that I was not very full after the sandwich, but it was still really good!

    House Latte .... YUM!

Uptown Eats is amazing! Hands down the best coffee I've had in St. Pete on any of my visits. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We enjoyed sitting outside since the weather was absolutely perfect -- such a great atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot, and I will definitely be back!

Cutest place with the best food! I got the greens bowl and iced coffee and my husband got the uptown and caramel iced coffee and both were amazing. I didn't want to finish lol. The owners were awesome as well. We're from out of town but will def be back here on our next visit! I wish we had this back home!

    Toffee Coffee

Quaint little bistro tucked just outside of downtown, Uptown Eats is a charming spot that punches well above its weight. I started with the Toffee Coffee, which lived up to its name--both bitter and sweet, with a rich and creamy kick that made for a bold wake-up call. For breakfast, my companion ordered two eggs with non-sausage gravy and a jalapeño cheddar scone (there were lots of biscuit and scone options, but she went spicy). The soft scrambled eggs were a standout--whipped smooth and perfectly blended with creamy Gouda. Paired with a small side of fruit--just enough watermelon and a slice of orange to brighten the plate--it was balanced and satisfying. The Hot Hot Heat sandwich was a monster. Over-easy egg with a gloriously oozing yolk, chorizo, and fresh jalapeños packed real heat and flavor. Not for the faint of heart! Yes, it took a little while to get our food, but the thoughtful prep and attention to presentation made it more than worth the wait. Uptown Eats is the kind of place you plan to linger--and you'll be glad you did.

This place is awesome every time! I enjoyed a grit bowl and jalapeño cheddar scone for brunch today. I appreciate that they have 3 flavors of unsweetened ice tea.

I love Uptown Eats! Highly rated for good reason :) I panic ordered the exact same thing I got last time I was here and I remembered liking it more last time- everything here looks so good and I'd be excited to try something new next time. I got the Uptown bowl- I thought the potatoes were a little bland that day but I liked everything else in it! The real star of the show for me was the COFFEE! I ordered the iced aerated espresso which piqued my interest because I'd never seen an aerated coffee on a menu before. It has no milk, just sweetened lightly with honey and lemon. It was fantastic- perfect amount of sweetness for me and just such a unique bevvie. Would 100% order again! The woman who brought us our coffees told me that she actually came up with the menu item. She was so nice! Hopefully more to come!

Great experience at Uptown Eats in downtown St Pete. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and the scone was fresh and flavorful. The hot chocolate was rich and comforting. Overall a really nice spot for a casual breakfast.

They make theirs with San Pellegrino, which is my personal favorite for an espresso tonic. My better half ordered the ginger açaí refresher (caffeinated). I don't usually go for refresher-style drinks, but I honestly could have finished the entire thing myself. It was delicious! Service: The barista was incredibly kind. I had a few questions about the menu, and she answered all of them patiently and helped me decide what to order, which I really appreciated. Ambiance: The indoor space is on the smaller side, but it was calm and quiet, with several people working on their laptops. I especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area; there are umbrellas over the tables, and it's on a relatively quiet street, making it a great spot to work or relax outside. While it's not the most aesthetically pleasing or ultra-Instagram-worthy coffee shop I've been to, it's a perfect choice if you're looking for a genuinely good cup of coffee, a peaceful outdoor spot downtown away from the noise, or a place to get some work done.

I came up Cassis Market advertising pizza so I popped in and ordered on with pepperoni, sausage and ham. One slice came to nearly $7. The man behind the counter was polite but uninterested. He looked like he wished he could be anywhere but there. I took my pizza out to eat at their outside table. I took a bite. Man was it stiff. And that was at the point where it's usually the best part. I kept eating and crunching. No moisture at all. Some flavor but not enough to justify the cost or enduring the hardness. The ham was hard. The pepperoni was all curled up and looked overcooked. The sausage was just OK. I was hungry but I left half of it and threw it in the trash. It sat in my stomach like I had swallowed an anvil. Now I must say I selected this from a whole pizza in the display case. It was not a piece that had been lingering there for a long time. My slice was the first slice from the pie so I was taken aback by it's texture and hardness. Cassis Market - NOT recommended.
