Ordered a small mushroom and a small sausage pizza for carryout tonight. Been a while but it was as good as I remember. Crust was just right and the crispy cheese around the edge was a bonus. Mushrooms were fresh and sausage was tasty and cooked through. Nice tang and spice to the sauce, it was not overly sweet like some others in town. They've been around forever and IMHO the Stavro's on Beach St. is the best pizza in town. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is they tack on a nominal charge for using a credit card. read more

This is my First time going to this place and if your looking for a quick bite to eat then this is the place to you. Me and my coworkers had a taste for some Italian food and we came to the right place When I first walked in I was happy that you were able to seat yourself instead of waiting for someone to greet you. It was cool to have that space to just sit down and eat. We end up getting greeted and she immediately ask for our drinks! That was a plus for me because we didn't have to wait long for our drinks to be asked for. She then gave us the space to just relax and look over the menu before she came back to ask us for our order. I had to use the restroom and the restroom was CLEAN! Not normal for some restaurants so that was another plus for me. Our waitress end up coming back and asking us for our order and I end up getting the chicken parmigiana and LET ME JUST TELL YOU! FIREEEEEE it was soooo good and the chicken was cooked just right. No complaints and cheesy just like I like it! It made my belly happy. The food came out FAST! Like didn't even have to wait longer then 10-15 minutes for the food! My coworkers end up raving about how good the baked ziti was and also the gyro , and Stromboli. You aslo get a side of garlic bread with the pasta and the seasoning on that bread was TOP NOTCH! The service was really good and everyone was really nice. IT was reeally quick and good foooddd which is what me and my coworkers were looking for after a work meeting . I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a taste of Italy in a cool spot across the water. I am a sucker for finding good restaurants on the spot and this is one of them! 10/10! Definitely recommend. The only thing I would say about this place which is not a use concern for me is that the portions are super big and some of the pastas do not have small sizes. The pizza crust is thin crackerlike with no flavor, may be stamped out, pre-made. Olives on the pizza were sour. The Greek salad comes with an old, soft plastic squirt bottle with mostly oil and a bit of vinegar, something that you would use on a kiddy plate. It's served in a to-go pie tin, huh? I had finely shredded iceberg mostly which made it frustratingly hard to eat, a few soft slices of tomato, 2 pepperoncini's and shredded stringy mystery meat. No Italian music. Red pizza sauce was mild, toppings were ok, pizza cooked well. Hurried staff is friendly. Sloppily-dressed busboy. All told, I would not recommend unless.... you are bringin' the kids, and then as an adult, don't expect much. I had never been to this restaurant before and was excited to try it being a new Daytona Beach resident. Walked in and seated ourselves according to this sign. There were 4 other people in the restaurant dining room. We were never greeted by any staff. We waited another 10 minutes and no one ever came to our table to at least ask for a drink or order or greet us. Unfortunately we will not be returning and we will make sure to pass along our experience to our friends. Please do better. read more

My wife and I were looking for Italian in the Daytona Beach Street area. The other Italian restaurant that we normally go to was closed and we were very glad it was because we had one of the best pizzas we've had in a long time. The staff was very pleasant and wonderful to deal with. The meat lovers pizza was delicious as well. The crust is delicious by itself add the extras on top and you've got a wonderful surprise. We had our dog in her stroller with us and they were very kind to chop up a chicken breast for her as well so she could have some food while we were sitting there as well. Decent pizza, great server, not so phenomenal customer service from the manager. The meat lover's pizza had a nice sampling of meat, and a buttery crust, although a bit greasy. Our service from the server was good, she was prompt and attentive. My beef was that we had an online coupon, similar to a Groupon, that we tried using. The owner told our server to tell us he didn't honor those & he's trying to be removed from the website. How is that our fault that you haven't been removed?! There was nothing noted about not accepting coupons. I ordered an appetizer and the bf a beer just to get a little extra discount, and this failed miserably.
