She also provided thorough background checks, proof of insurance, and references (who gave excellent reviews). Her care and thoroughness is very evident. We connected right away during the meet and greet, and my husband and I both felt like we could trust her with our dogs and our home. I provided an extensive list of notes, and she followed them to a T. During our weekend trip, Dusty checked in frequently with updates and photos. I never had to wonder if the dogs were doing okay. Not only did Dusty really care about our dogs' well-being, she also cares about our peace of mind and puts in a lot of effort to relieve our anxieties. I was especially anxious about one of our dog's leash reactivity, and Dusty did a fantastic job managing her surroundings during walks and making sure that they were both safe. Upon our return, the house was in great shape. My only "complaint" is that the dogs didn't seem to miss us at all since they were so busy having fun with Dusty! Then I contacted Drew and I knew right away she was special - she actually adores cats and her primary concern is getting to know your cats' individual needs and quirks and providing the best comprehensive care possible while putting your mind at ease with daily checks-ins and photos. (She also owns a photography business and you can hire her for an epic pet photo session!) Drew regularly takes care of my guys, whether I'm busy for one day or away for a longer trip. Under anyone else's care, I'd worry about their individual dietary and behavioral needs - I have a picky older cat with anxiety and urinary issues, a goofy black cat with a sensitive tummy and a history of eating inedible objects and getting the occasional ear infection, and a young, spunky one-eyed cat who once had an injured leg. Not only has Drew gotten to know each of their personalities and connected with them like they're her own pets (they greet her at the door), she has expertly attended to their occasional extra needs and has on multiple occasions taken the time to talk me through my concerns about their issues. In addition to being a cat owner herself, Drew has experience working at clinics and rescues and volunteers her time at a cat sanctuary so I thoroughly trust her input and consider her a valued care companion and part of our pet family. I checked out their website and was thoroughly impressed by how well it was put together. Getting a quote was super easy via Yelp and Rocky was incredibly quick in responding. Rocky was super responsive to messages, took great pictures and video updates of our furkids, and sent us a detailed report at the end of each visit with even more photos. I don't know how they managed to do it all within a 45 minute scheduled drop-in visit, but it was impressive. I could be at work and not worry about the well-being of my furkids because I knew they were being loved and well taken care of.

With only 2 sessions, Alycia has made so many drastic changes and corrections that we are absolutely convinced that she is today's Dog Whisperer! She is the most loving, kind, yet firm, professional dog trainer we could ever imagine and hope for. Our precious puppy has anxiety/separation anxiety and she tended to bark at people and other dogs (not out of aggression but) out of nervousness and excitement. She loves attention/affection but her first reaction was to bark, run around and be hyper. In minutes Alycia calmed Tiffany down and she really responded well to Alycia's commands. She taught us about boundaries and gave our puppy a boundary at the front door. Previously, Tiffany would want to run to the door and possibly run outside. After 2 tries, she mastered how to stay back even with he door wide open and with no leash on! Such an important safety lesson. Next session we went to our local pet store and also walked around outside of the strip mall. There was lots of activity, people, noises, cars, dogs, etc. I was so nervous, but to our astonishment, Tiffany did NOT bark once! Alycia taught her how to heel, make turns, and how to stay on the curb until we let her know it was ok to cross the street, We also had trouble with Tiffany pulling her leash in front of us while walking. Alycia literally taught her in a couple of minutes how to walk calmly beside us. The last lesson of the day was teaching Tiffany how to remain calm in the car. Previously, Tiffany would whimper, try and jump or walk around nervously even while being safe in her car restraint belt. I don't know how Alycia did it, but for the first time in 6 months, we had a quiet calm puppy, laying down calmly in the back seat by herself the whole ride home! One word....AMAZING! Keep in mind that all of these corrections were literally done in minutes! Our puppy has shown so much improvement and retains the information. She's becoming more confident, showing less signs of her normal anxiety and she's loving all the new things she's learning.
