Tyvon (owner) and his crew (led by Fernando) on my job were one of the hardest working people I have hired for our home renovation, across all projects. Tyvon was and still is super responsive, even after the fact, and Fernando was on-time everyday and communicated well every day during the week they were here, even during a heat wave. Tyvon explained every detail very clearly and price-matched competitors on the turf and gopher mesh, without compromising quality. He was able to start on the Monday after I signed with him on a Friday. That was what made me switch to his crew even after I was originally going to go with someone else. His responsiveness and fast start date was exactly what I needed. He came and checked on the progress often and would problem solve along with his crew if an issue arose. I had deep-rooted weeds they had to clear and that resulted in using almost twice the amount of road base. His total never changed and that spoke volumes to me of his integrity. I was happy to add on a bit more to the scope of work because I could see they took their work seriously and would not take shortcuts. Lastly, I have to point out that they came back out a couple weeks later to replace a paver that the crew broke during installation and they worked just as hard on that as they did the turf. We hired this Stay Green Turf to do a repair and cleaning of our turf. Tyvon responded promptly to our service request, had a good understanding of the work needed and provided a timely quote. They did not install our turf, but we're professional and happy to come do the needed repair and cleaning. This review is long overdue. Tyvon and his team were not only fast and professional, but they really went above and beyond the original scope of work to deliver an excellent final product. There were several things that stood out that made my experience with Stays Green so great: - I was getting quotes back in November during the peak of the pandemic. Everyone was improving their homes so some companies didn't even want to bother doing in-person quotes (ie you can't see samples until you commit). Tyvon came the same day I called him. He was responsive by text and phone throughout the process. - The difference between the highest and lowest quote I received was over $1,000 (similar quality turf) on my very small project. Tyson's quote was on the more reasonable end of the spectrum. - Tyvon included sanitizing measures (old turf smelled of dog urine), extra sand, etc that other companies were going to charge me extra for. - While most companies couldn't perform the work for 4-6 weeks, Tyvon's team scheduled me in within a week. Just after the Thanksgiving break. - Part of the scope included removing the old turf and some dirt to level out the ground. Upon removal of the old turf, there was an unexpected drain they had to regrade around, turning our half-day job into a full-day job. The guys shrugged it off and did the extra work without charging me a penny more. It's a small backyard but cost $3000 which I felt was too expensive for a small yard but my son's wife wanted it so she okayed the service. They did a good job only problem the edges of the loan are coming up, lifting after a short time being there and not any harsh activity on the new lawn no animals and no children. call them back to do my front yard. They said it would be no problem or charge for them too fix the edges of the lawn that have lifted up.
