I think it's pretty cool and a smart business to use the space that was the old Rite Aid to do night markets in Rowland Heights. It's not as big as 626 Night Market but IMO there are enough food options especially if you like Japanese and Taiwanese food (there were at least 3 places selling stinky tofu and I finally tried black stinky tofu). There's no admission fee (Yay!!!) and while parking is free, the adjacent lot may be full so you'll need to park nearby at another business that's probably closed at night. They also have kids games as well as small merchant booths inside the old Rite Aid. Oh, and a beer vendor inside if you want beer and they were smart enough to also put many tables and chairs so people can sit down to eat. Plus, they have live music too! Not sure if these will be every weekend or just select weekends? I do hope the influx of people ends up helping brick and mortar restaurants in the same shipping center such as Gui Gui 92 which I am also a fan of. Check out my pics!

Situated in a huge parking lot on Colima Rd. in the city of Rowland Heights, this small family-oriented night market has a good number of food street vendors, indoor merchants and games for kids. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try any of the grilled foods. Prices are slightly high, which is typical of most night markets. We were still full after having a late lunch but mainly wanted to check this place out. Free admission and free parking.

I went to the Happy Night Market at STC Rowland Legacy in Rowland Heights on Friday and already plan to go back! The event runs from Feb 27-March 1, 2026. Free admission and free parking made it super convenient. The atmosphere was lively with DJ music, fun photo ops, local makers, and a great mix of food vendors. It's very family-friendly, and they even have a big super slide for kids. Here's what I tried: * Burnt Basque cheesecake Watermelon flavor- $8 (delicious and not too sweet) * Clarita's Authentic Ilocos empanada - $8 (crispy and flavorful) * Taste Memory's chicken skewers - 3 for $10 (so good!) * Sunday Cafe watermelon drink - $10 (refreshing, but a bit pricey and non-refillable unless you purchase the $30 bear cup) * Potato twister - around $10 (my classic favorite, especially the garlic parmesan flavor) There were plenty of other options too: tanghulu candied fruits, Hamburgesas Mati, Thai iced teas, Thai food, mango sticky rice, loaded baked potatoes, KRP Lato Filipino street food, and more. I love supporting my local community, and I'm so glad we finally have a night market here in Rowland Heights. I've been to the 626 Night Market in Arcadia, which definitely has more vendors, but it also comes with long lines, higher prices, an entrance fee, and heavy traffic. This felt more relaxed and easy to enjoy. I'm excited to come back and try even more vendors. Definitely worth checking out!

I came across the STC Rowland Legacy on social media and decided to bring my family there. We arrived at 1pm and were fortunate to find parking available. There are numerous booths where you can shop, as well as food and beverage vendors. Live music and performances throughout the day make it a terrific family activity. At 3:00pm, raffle tickets for free prizes are distributed, and with so many amazing prizes, many people wait for their raffle tickets to be called. One thing I don't like is that the raffle system is rigged. All STC employees participated in the raffle ticket games, and STC employees won the majority of the prizes. A STC employee behind me tells another STC employee that she will win the iPad, clearly, she did win the iPad. While I look back at her STC bag, which is full of tickets! She has the most tickets! We waited all day for the drawings at 3:00pm, 5:00pm, and 7:00pm, and we all saw 90% of the prizes won by STC employees and STC performers. I walked up and complained to the announcer about how STC employees had a bag full of tickets and won the majority of the prizes. She stated that it is not rigged and that any STC employees can participate in the drawing. If you were present at the drawing, do you believe it was fair? The majority of the rewards were earned by STC employees. For what I've seen, all of the festivals that include drawing for prizes do not allow employees to participate! But it's evident that this festival is rigged. I'm not happy with this festival, and I see that other people are as upset as I am. Each time the same STC employee won the reward, it took her at least 5 to 7 minutes to locate the actual raffle ticket. STC Rowland Legacy must cease this nonsense and focus solely on the audiences, as employees and performers are not permitted to participate in any activities! Let me know your thoughts?! Please like my review if you agree!

I have such vivid memories of hanging out at Cue to take sticker photos (purikura) with friends, grabbing drinks and playing cards for hours at Ten Ren's Tea, and browsing through all the cool Japanese lifestyle goods at Life Plaza. While the shops have changed over the years and the plaza looks different now, the vibe remains special. Even though the "old" spots are gone, I still find myself coming back constantly. Every corner of this place is filled with memories of growing up. It's rare to find a place that evolves with the times while still making you feel so nostalgic. Still my favorite place to hang out!

This was THE place to go to and get dropped off at or take the bus and walk to when I was in high school/early college before I was able to drive. I'm going to out myself as a fossil, but do you remember Life Plaza? Genki Living? Cue? Arcade Infinity? We really had it all back then. I'm even mourning the loss of our Cocoichibanya to this day that used to exist here. So many great businesses that have come and gone and so many years of my life spent here, great memories, sad memories, and memories with people who are no longer in my life. When I had to live in the horrific midwest, I would await the day I get to visit Diamond Plaza again. But that's just rose colored glasses. Yes, lots of businesses and some really good eateries have come and gone (crazy that Gen and Ten Ren's got eliminated), but now the plaza is SUPER FISTED. Probably due to the Chubby Cattle and the popularity of the other places to grab dinner and go to the Duo Duo Snacks. I used to be able to finesse parking in the back area or to the side near the freeway, but now you have to circle around much more often and the parking pit can't guarantee anything to you. Alongside parking being a PvP zone and no regard for human life, you gotta really watch yourself. I'm glad Sul and Beans is still around and that regardless of all the changes, you can always guarantee that there's good food here. Big fan of the Duo Duo Snacks, and it's nice that there's an anime store here (though the prices are a bit high and it's filled with mostly shonen slop).

Parking can be hard to find during peak times. Some Establishments Currently Located In The Plaza: BCD, Banana Bay, Tastea. and Matcha Cafe Maiko, to name a few. Ambiance/Decor: Pretty cool ambiance/decor. They have a section of the plaza that has a beautifully designed outdoor patio area, which is perfect for enjoying meals al fresco. I feel like I'm going to trigger a sleeper agent here, but if you remember Cue! and MVP shooters, then you have elite ball knowledge and know what this plaza was like in its prime. If you go here at an off time or mostly during the weekdays, parking is doable, but if you're here on a Friday night or weekend, good luck, it can become a PvP zone here and there are many many cars that aren't compact parking in the compact section. During a particularly busy night, I've even seen shattered glass from a car that was broken into despite there being so many cars and people around, so be careful! As for value, there's a good chunk of casual eats and treats here (currently) that aren't too pricy like the new Chinese snack shop, Matcha Maiko, Honu Hawaiian, and Boba Ave 8090, and some slightly nicer eats like Sushi Rev and Yumiyaki (soon another Chubby Cattle Empire restaurant is joining this plaza). There's Korean tofu soup, Thai food, ice cream, congee, skewers, lots of businesses open later at night, and a little bit of shopping. Lots of memories made here.

In the one year that Jen and I have been dating, this place has improved and provided many fun days and nights. The Christmas decorations were wonderful and this past weekend they had the Lunar New Year celebration, with many additional pop-up vendors in the street (closed off for pedestrians). We enjoyed walking, talking and exploring all the additional vendors and also the people (and dog) watching was top notch. Judging by the crowd turnout, I would say that this was a successful event, and I hope they add more events like this going forward. Many great restaurants, shops, craft stores and plaza entertainment. Water fountains and train rides for the kids (and some adults too). Keep in mind that the four-way intersection here can be one of the worst. Some people don't follow stop signs. There's also people that make "invisible stop signs" on lanes where they actually have the right of way to just go. Now everyone gets confused. It's never really that busy but the whole caterpillar line of cars extending from the stoplights makes it seem so. It's best to have patience otherwise you'd come out of there pretty angry. If there is extreme traffic and I really need to exit, I just go all the way out to the far end of the shopping center (where Ruby Tuesdays used to be) and make a right from there. Overall, this is a decent shopping center with a bit of variety. It's viciously local to me so it's very convenient!
