My husband ordered the Grand Escape with chicken, but when we got our food, we realized they gave us steak instead. We went right back inside to fix it. The manager (who seemed to be the owner) asked for our receipt. I explained that we had just left and weren't given one.She immediately started hollering and being incredibly rude to the young man who took our order, deeply embarrassing him in front of customers. She aggressively lectured him on how to take orders and demanded to know why he hadn't asked for my name. When I repeated that I had ordered a Grand Escape with chicken, she rudely told me to "read the sign," claiming it is called the Grandest Escape.She then forced the employee through an unnecessary, tedious training session right then and there, making him ask us a barrage of questions just because of a single mistake. If you have teenagers, do not let them work under this owner. The issue wasn't the staff--it was the owner's toxic behavior. Mistakes happen, but employees should never be publicly humiliated. Didn't want a refund, maybe just a bottle water instead the manager stone faced, who I think is the franchise owner just gave us the money back without saying a word. I had the worst experience with Steak Escape- Byram, MS.. Around 4:35 P.M. I ordered a Hangover po-boy sandwich (something I order each time) with extra meat, extra onions, bell pepper and mushrooms, no buffalo sauce and well done eggs. Cost $11. Half-way home, I opened up my sandwich to a mess, my eggs was half done and I called to speak to manager and I was told to bring sandwich back... I told her I was almost home. She remembered the order and when she consulted with cashier which took my order, she confirmed that my eggs was suppose to be well done but she forgot to tell the cook. They wanted me to bring the sandwich back today and waste more gas & time, instead of telling me to drop in whenever I come back to Byram and they would make good with my food. I took pictures and will post on Facebook for everyone to see. The food turned my stomach. I will not spend my hard earn money to support a restaurant that will not stand behind their food, instead of insulting their patrons... Oh my God! My daughter and I were headed back to the airport in the Flowood-Jackson, MS area, and decided to try Steak Escape. I got the Philly steak and she tried the mixed chicken and steak bowl. Man I can smell it from just writing about it. It was the most wonderful experience and it's going to be our new stop to eat place when we leave the airport. Thanks for being there. So I've had this several more times since my first experience. Very good, very fresh and the staff was very friendly. The manager graduated from Jackson State University and is one of the first female franchise owners. (At least that's my understanding) I def recommend it! read more

We just tried Steak Escape for the first time and it was great! When we walked in, we were immediately greeted. We placed our order and it only took about 5 minutes to get our food. Unprofessional attitudes, extremely long wait times and an extremely young staff just add up to a generally poor experience. I've tried this location twice over the past month, once through the drive through and once as walk in and waited over an hour both times for my food and the drive through order wasn't even what I ordered. The food isn't bad at all to be fair but that doesn't really make up for the issues at this location. I highly recommend eating at Steak Escape, but can't recommend the Byram location until some changes are made. read more

Every time we have went there the wait has been 20-30 minutes. There has always been more staff than people in the place. Service was rude and not friendly at all. I went through the drive-thru on Sunday (Mother's Day), no car's were awaiting and I was super excited as I've tried numerous of times to get there since it's our newest restaurant in Byram, however, All to No avail! The person taking my order apparently was new and obviously didn't care to be scheduled for work. I was advised I couldn't sub provolone for swiss cheese, when in fact my sister had just done it the week prior! After arriving to the window to pay and retrieve my order, I waited until 7:22PM before anyone even came to the window and my order was placed at 7:12PM. Once the young lady came to the window she was laughing almost uncontrollable indication she was having a conversation prior to coming to the window to acknowledge me. Once she stopped laughing, she repeated my order which was wrong and advised me of my total. Just an unpleasant experience overall and I'm certainly not looking to visit again anytime soon! read more
