After my terrible experience at Wendy's, I made my way to this Steak n' Shake location. Let me tell you poor customer service must be a trend throughout the fast-food franchises in Hiram. I asked for honey mustard and was looked at like it was an out-of-the-ordinary request. My order was completely mixed up with another UberEats order which clearly shows there is no organization when bagging food. The list could go on and on. If I could give a ZERO then I would. The service here was Horrible!!!! Each car was taking at least 20 min each. The guy at the drive through asked me to hold on three times before even taking my order. With only two cars in front of me. The line was all the way around to the exit part of the drive through. I understand what's going on in the world, but this was ridiculous. I asked the guy what was going on and he stated that they had to get call in orders taken care of. It was exactly what people described it to be! And it was fun! I had an Oreo mint milkshake! Simply amazing! And they had one of my favorite toppings on top of their burgers! Avocado!!!! But this time I decided to add guacamole to the burger. They also had season fries and chili. It was my first time in Atlanta and this place really left a good taste in my mouth! Especially after 3 full days of filming and acting onset. Being able to relax and enjoy a milkshake and burger here was definitely a high light and memorable moment of my trip. Was just there this evening and had problems with my order. Ordered 2 steakburgers with cheese, 1 of them with bacon and both with everything except ketchup and mayo. Explained 2x that I didn't want ketchup or mayo, and confirmed with the cashier twice. Got my order....both burgers have ketchup, and neither has any bacon. Normally when you eat fast food you expect this....but not at Steak and Shake, which I consider to be a step above McDs/Wendys/etc, which is why I go there. Anyways, just the smell of ketchup makes me nauseated, so the burgers were inedible, so I ended up paying $7 to just have my fries for dinner, thanks Steak and Shake! I called the store and spoke to Carol, 1 of the managers. She promised me it would be taken care of, that she'd send me out coupons for 2 steakburgers and 2 shakes.....yet she didn't get my address or e-mail address. Seems like she gave me the run-around, so I filed a complaint on their hotline and am taking it to corporate. Oh yeah BTW.....after talking to her, they (store 652) won't answer their phone. Host didn't pay attention and sat a couple that came in after my sister and I before us. We also had to ask him to sit an elderly disabled woman before us and he sat her at a booth and then proceeded to sit my sister a I at the disability table. (She had a walker and had problems getting into the booth). My burger was a mess and the table was dirty. The bathroom also smelled horribly and was dirty. I see several bad reviews on here. Most are very old. I would like to say we have been going to this location at least once a week for over a year. We love to meet friends there for great food, and fun times. We have had burgers, breakfast, shakes, about everything on the menu. The food is always great. Service is as outstanding. Drinks stay full, table stays clean, and they will do everything they can to make it a great time. Value is outstanding! Understaffed on Valentine's Day, dirty tables and benches. Waited 10 minutes to be waited on and it was fairly empty. Several couples walked out while waiting. Do NOT ever order steak and shake for delivery! You'll never see your food or money again! Apparently they use DoorDash which is another crappy company as well. The first driver went past my house which is 5 minutes from the restaurant and went over 20 minutes away down clay Road in mabelton. When she finally turned around and got to my house, the shakes were completely melted and I'm sure my food were cold. I told her to take it back to the restaurant. I called steak and shake and they said I had to call DoorDash even though I paid steak and shake directly. I called DoorDash and they said I had to talk to steak and shake even though their drivers were the ones who screwed up. Neither company would take ownership of the issue. Finally a DoorDash supervisor said she would expedite a new order and have it sent to me immediately. I watch the order on the screen change drivers 4 times and never received my food. At this point, it had been almost 4 hours since I originally put my order in. The next day I called DoorDash and they said they would issue a refund. Well, it had been a week since I was supposed to receive my refund and never got it so I called DoorDash and they said the refund was issued to steak and shake. Steak and shake just kept my money twice! I got in touch with my bank and frauded it out, sending them transcripts of the calls as well as screenshots. Never again will I order steak and shake. I don't even use DoorDash but I will make sure any place I order from is not using DoorDash. I prefer grub hub or Uber eats. At least their customer service is better. I ordered on the app to skip the line and waited until my arrival time to pick up. When I tried to enter the front to pick up, a male employee was extraordinarily rude to me and threw up his hands. I subsequently circled the building in my car and was instructed by the drive thru window employee to get in the drive thru line, which was wrapped around the building. When I tried to cancel my order on the app, it said to call the store. I called the store five times and got a Verizon voicemail each time. Will never come here again. The 2 stars are because the food was good and hot. This Steak N Shake is notorious for bad/slow service so I set my timer. It took 16 minutes to get a table, 7.34 to see a server, 8.43 to get our drinks, 18 minutes after our drinks came our food came (along with refills and our check). 19 minutes after that we ordered shakes. 22 minutes later we got our shakes. Our server stopped waiting tables to make our 6 shakes. I asked the girl at the register if that was normal and she said she guessed the shake guy left. We watched a table of 7 leave after never being acknowledged by anyone. We heard the manager argue with a man about a $5 off coupon he received the time before for bad service. He explained that the previous manager told him they would honor it. She told him it was expired and she wouldn't. He asked for her managers number and was told it wouldn't matter who he called they wouldn't do anything for him. After a few more words and a really poor attitude she finally honored it. None of the servers had any get up and go. Not sure how they make any money at all! Over all our server was friendly, food was good but the time was awful and they really need new management. We actually called customer service from the register in front of the manager and still didn't get her acknowledgment. We will not be back until new management is put in place. read more

One of the better streak n shakes around. I gave it 4 stars, based on the service received at this streak n shake compared to others. They got my order correct, didn't spill anything on me my wife or my kids, and the waitress (Glenda) was great! I find most wait staff at other resturants of this resturant chain don't really care about their job or the people they serve. Glenda does. This restaurant is showing it's age and could use a makeover, but next time I'm looking for an inexpensive place to feed the kids, this steak n shake will be an option. I love Steak n' Shakes, but not this one. The food is really good and the shakes are awesome. It is the service that is lousy at this Steak n' Shake. The service used to be a little hit-and-miss a while back but it has gotten so much worse. They hardly ever ask you if you want a shake after the dump the check at your table. They are now slow to take orders and deliver orders. They don't even refill drinks until you have finished your meal. I have seen the staff actually ignore people that have been seated. This is the worst experience we have ever had at a steak n Shake. first we had a party of 6 got seated ok but it was a hectic when we walked in. Most were leaving though so we got seated. Waitress took our order so far not bad. Once other groups came in is when we received some issues. I was the last to get my food and all i order was a bowl of chili. I got no spoon or crackers. We got no refils and my daughter never got honey mustard. We found ourselves having to go get everything including refils and go boxes from either other waitresses or go straight to the bar as she attended to other tables.
