We had been March '25 (see review) when it was still Gyro City Grill & were thoroughly pleased. Tonight we noticed the new name but with same cuisine, thought it must be the same. Now, let's grant that their A/C broke this afternoon, which likely couldn't be helped, leaving the crowded place toasty & the scrambling staff sweaty. Bless them. They were big on apologies though still didn't always follow through in a super timely way seeming to get distracted at times. Also, didn't see the nice, chatty owner from before so also leads me to think new owners. Possibly the new owner or manager did helpfully bring us big cups of ice to replenish our teas without being asked, so we appreciated that. Now to the food. Wife got a gyro (+ fries for $3 more). Food took 24 minutes to arrive. The fries were only warm & looked like they'd been sitting a while. The gyro was ok but nothing to write home about. It did have some large chunks of meat. I'd had a gyro elsewhere recently so got the Greek meatballs for some reason - I forget the name. I'm almost always disappointed in meatballs so that's on me. These were "ok." The yellow rice was fine. The special tomato sauce comes in a little metal cup. I used it for dipping & it was fine but not exactly a smothering sauce. This is in a strip shopping center so ambiance is limited out the gate & the A/C issue didn't help. The temp inside finally improved a bit at end but the atmosphere was pretty unpleasant. It's a 25-minute drive for us to get here anyway & given the experience, I couldn't see us returning. There was a good crowd though & I wish them well. read more

Service was excellent. Everyone was overly nice. She did come out a few times to reassure me the order was being worked on and then asked again, "lamb and chicken, correct?" Saying that to say...food on the other hand wasn't very good. First, my order was wrong...when I got home. SMH. The orders were basically switched. Lamb had the requests of the chicken and chicken had the requests of the lamb. Luckily we both left off what I was allergic to or it would've been more than a disaster. Nevertheless, we had to pick off everything. Time consuming and messy. Lastly, the lamb was in chucks and VERY tough. Chewy. I guess I assumed it would be sliced or shaved. It was majority lettuce. I really wanted a gyro this night and this Just wasn't the best. I felt I lost almost $40. I really doubt I'd be back. Upon entering, the guy sitting near the front wrapping silverware continued to look down as my friend and I stood waiting to be helped or at the very least, greeted. The door announces when it's opened, so he had to see us. As we stood waiting, an older, friendlier gentleman came from outside and showed us to a table. He took our order from there. I ordered the souvlaki (chicken kebob) and my friend ordered The lamb chop special. The food is cooked to order and was fresh so there's a little wait. Our food had a great flavor and they did not skimp on the portions. The older gentleman kept us laughing with the dad jokes, which more than made up for the lack of acknowledgement from the other guy. Interestingly, you can also order Indian dishes from a separate menu as well. The two guys in the front that are in this review look to be of Indian decent, so keep that in mind. The only con was the price: while the food was good, the price of almost $60 was a little disappointing because the ambiance didn't match. This is more of a casual place, with paper napkins and rickety chairs. However, if you're in the area and looking for Mediterranean food, try this restaurant out. read more

Menu now displays the updated Greek menu and combines on one menu the Indian menu. Service was friendly and good. Restaurant was clean and attractive. I have family that lives in Georgia close to Hiram, so this was along the way to my destination. They are located right off the Hwy so you cant miss them. All the reviews stated how good the food was, so we decided to try them. Customer service was good and the restaurant was clean. They where not busy, so our food came out in a timely manner. They do serve cakes and treats as well. We didn't have any room for sweets to go. Our food consisted of the gyros platter and plate with sides. All the food flavorful, plentiful and freshly made. The flavor was out of the world, we thoroughly enjoyed. This is a great place to have dinner or have friends meet for a dinner outing. They have plenty of seating inside and out. My picky 14-year old said, "THIS IS THE BEST FOOD I'VE EVER HAD", talking about the Vindaloo and Spinach & Artichoke dip. (It is under new management and recently had a beautiful makeover, so be mindful that some reviews on here were from before, when it was just the Greek place.) This place is always as close to perfect as you can get. I love the food and the customer service. They have also recently renovated and upgraded the menu by adding a few new items. I dined in at Gyro City Grill - Hiram tonight around 7:30 with my family. It was a cute place that seemed to be family run and operated. We saw reviews that mentioned that they had great gyros, so we decided to order the large gyro platter, a children's gyro, one side of roasted vegetables and Greek french fries with feta cheese and tzatziki sauce. We had waters to drink and the water was refreshing & not tappy. The gyros were remarkable! The meat was flavorful and juicy. My son LOVED it and ate it with the tomatoes, onion and lettuce. He actually requested a second one. The platter was larger enough for my husband and me to share. I truly loved the roasted veggies which included lemon potatoes, zucchini, squash, onions and carrots. The food was packed with flavor. We did not order desserts, but noticed they had an array of cakes available including a baklava cheese cake, red velvet, carrot cake and chocolate cake. There were a few people coming in to place orders to go as well while we dined in. The customer service was outstanding. The owner Ashok took great pride in his food and ensured we had what we needed. He was very friendly towards our family and thrilled to see us enjoy our meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here today. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The place was clean and spacious. We had the Greek lemon chicken soup, falafel app, and gyros. It was all super fresh and left us feeling full but not heavy. I loved the soup and the falafel were the best I've had in ages - so crispy! Looking forward to another visit. I've been here many times before so it saddens me to write this review. I purchased two Philly Gyros and a slice of the driest flavorless Strawberry Cake I've ever tasted. I don't normally buy pastries that aren't made in house due to questionable freshness. I let the new girl upfront talk me into buying an OVERPRICED SLICE OF NASTY DRY CAKE. The gyro was great! Packed with fresh meat, and toppings! Soft pita bread. The fries are very crispy, airy, and delicious! We live nearby and we enjoy the meal every time. Even if we lived far away, I would drive however long it takes to eat here. The owner is so sweet and friendly, and the waitress was very attentive. The restaurant is always clean. This establishment has the nicest staff. They were so accommodating and although they made a mistake in my order they were very apologetic. My husband said the falafel were not that great, but the gyro was delicious! I had a small Greek salad which was standard it could have had a bit more feta. They do not serve enough pita bread with the falafel. I would recommend that they tell you the specials that they have on the board because we did not notice them until we had ordered. Someone at a nearby table got some kind of dish that involved a bit of a show; the server poured a bit of oil on a pan and then lit it on fire for a brief flare, crying, "Opa!" Nice touch. My order: spanakopita, tasted like packaged frozen spanakopita you get in the store. Chicken souvlaki - the chicken was rubbery like it had been sitting out for awhile, and the vegetables and feta cheese came on the side, which was ok, but they tasted horrible, and the feta was awful! I also got Greek fries, which were just normal fries, tasted good but not Greek fries which are supposed to be topped with spices and feta cheese. I was very disappointed because we only have one good Greek restaurant here (Olive Tree) and its more of a sit-down place, not takeout. I have heard a lot of good things about this place. I had a craving for a Gyro. This place has a great mom and pop feel to it. The restaurant has a lot of color and a welcoming atmosphere. Located in a strip mall, parking is a breeze. And plenty of it. Food: the lemon soup was delicious with just the right creaminess. Gyro was HUGE and yummy. They give you a free app platter with beets, pasta salad, hummus and chickpeas. All good! Service was great with personal attention from the manager. There is an outdoor covered patio area and I bet it's epic in the fall and summer. Since this place is off the beaten path, I bet you won't have to worry about crowds or waiting in line very often.
