Horrible service, food was wrong, they ran out of real strawberry, the Staff down to the manager had nasty attitudes. Didnt have napkins had to ask for some. Waitress was new, seem like she walk in and was hired 10 mins before we walked in. They didn't have any kid menus, and when we asked prices on an item she would just place the order before we gave her the ok. Never told us price, on top of the fact that we had to wait 1hr for a side order of fries. My classic burger had no toppings and it took 15 mins just to get lettuce and tomatoes. Teens work there. I didn't return for a second time or more due to filthy cups that had black smudges of something inside them. My relatives and I ordered at the drive thru. At the window I requested a cup of water then another when I noticed a black smudge on the inside. Eventually the employee at the window and I realized that all of the cups had the same defect. My relatives still visit to purchase from here but I refuse to return for bad services. The pictures of the food is deceiving; the food is much smaller in person. Um, when I lived in Atlanta, I went through the drive-thru of this restaurant so I was surprised to discover there was waiter service inside. My coworkers and I stopped in to get a good shake fix. Yea, well, we waited about 15 minutes for our shakes and, as we consumed them, realized they were not worth the 15 minute wait nor the damn near $5 we paid for each one. Staff was decent. Everything was alright till the end. My food took forever to come out but my waitress was wonderful so I let it slide. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and a side of onion rings. The fries were soft and cold but the onion rings and sandwich were pretty good. When it was time for me to pay for the food, I had to witness the cashier and manager arguing about what time the cashier was supposed to leave. I ordered two milkshakes to go at 4:07 PM and continued to listen to the manager and cashier go back and forth. Fast forward to 4:30 PM and I am still waiting on my shakes. Now at this point I'm mad....it shouldn't take that long to make two milkshakes. I go up to the cashier and ask for a refund and she asks me, "Are the milkshakes taking too long?" What do you think? I reply, "Yes, I can't wait any longer. I have somewhere to go".....She has the nerve to say to me "I understand. I was supposed to leave at 2 and I'm still here."....What?! So after she tried to get the manager for the refund, she tells me that the manager is about to start on the shakes now (23 minutes later). At this point I don't even want the shakes so I tell her to give me my money back anyway. The manager comes up to the register without acknowledging me, he didn't even look at me. He gave my "refund", said sorry, and walked away. I look down at the money he gave to me and realized that he only gave me a refund on one shake....I bought two. Love me some Steak and Shake, but this was an awful experience! Was passing through this part of town and thought a fast and inexpensive meal would be great for a party of 6. The place wasn't very busy so we assumed service would be decent, but it took over 10 minutes just to place a drink order. Then another 12 minutes for the drinks to arrive. The waitress mentioned the place being short staffed, but it appeared to be slow enough that this wouldn't be a issue. Empty - dirty table everywhere. This is a monday night, not saturday! Food came out and my double steak burger with guacamole was seriously lacking! They placed a quarter sized portion of brown guac on my burger and said that was the standard amount. This was one of the most expensive burgers on the menu! I've ordered the single steak burger with guac many other times and it always comes with a sufficient amount. Maybe they were running out in the back? I asked and she said no, my portion was "standard". Fries were basically all crumbs and short pieces. This is not a good thing when the fries are mini to begin with. The other plates were fine at our table, only my plate was sad. Had to get other servers to refill waters. It was very obvious that the manager was unhappy with her job. She slowly walked around to odd jobs that the bus boy should have handled. The entire environment seemed to need better management and the employees needed better training. Upon paying the check, the manager (as cashier now) didn't smile or ask how everything was. I will not go back to this location. The one near our house is short staffed often, but the manager makes it work along with well trained staff. We have been in the drive thru for 51 minutes. It's late night. Afraid to post this as it might take longer. Actually surprised people in corporate offices haven't done something about this. No onion rings. Do we give up???? Just put the car in park again. We just saw onion rings come from the freezer. Should I call 1-877-stk-n-shk??? 1 hour. We out. p.s. Instead of my large order of onion rings, the container was half-filled with ketchup packets. Not the top half, nope bottom half. Seems accidental. Right? Terribly slow service! Around 20 minute wait to get a table and once seated after 15 more minutes no one came to take our order (I had to stand up and get somebody).
