Good burger, fast service. Food as ordered. Place is both busy and clean. Couldn't ask for more.

After sitting and waiting 15 minutes for a server and not even being greeted decided on leaving. People came in after we did and were seated, got drinks, and ordered their food and still did not have a server. Finalky as we were getting up to leave did someone stop by to give us flatware and say that our server was having issues, yet when asked who our server was she said she didnt know. How do you know that they were having "issues" if you don't know who the server is? This is unacceptable, need to have servers trained better. Could have been avoided by having someone come by the table to make us aware and at the very least get our drink order! read more

We waited 15 minutes before someone came over to help us, after we asked if someone was going to help us. We saw 3 other tables get sat and have their order taken before us. We will never come back here again and that's a shame. Horrible horrible service! read more

I like food here and it's not too crazy expensive. It does take a little long to get your meal on the drive through but I was always under the impression because they make everything to order. But today I order a Nutella milkshake and had a $1 off coupon, when I got the milkshake it was missing about 1/4 of it. I guess they compensated for the loss of a dollar.... read more

Horrible service and quality of food. Had to wait over an hour for a milkshake. Management doesn't know how to keep up with crew. Very crowded and had to wait a while just to be seated. Left no tip! They should shut this place down and actually put something worth spending time and money here. Waste of space!!! If there was a no star I would leave that. read more

We just had a nice Lunch at Steak n Shake the service and food was excellent. The last few times we were very disappointed so it was hard to return but we are glad we did. We were very happy with the food and service and will definitely be back real soon. read more

We love the food but the service is awful. Walk in the door and no one acknowledges you at all, had to flag someone down to seat us even though a manager was standing right at the counter. So the wife and I just brought our son to have a late lunch and was more then disappointed to find that when my food came out not only was there a greasy black hair in my wife's food, but when I looked to the kitchen for answers it was in fact the Manager who was tending the Flat top grill with no form of hair net on what so ever. In fact only one of the members of the kitchen staff had a hair net on. Without even finishing a quarter of our meal we quickly walked up to the counter payed full price for our food and hoping to give the establishment one last chance to set things straight we hoped someone would at least ask us how our meal was. However we where not so lucky. I can't give half a star or else I would. No plans on going back to this steak and shake location anytime soon. Shame to see read more

I love steak and shake but his location is terrible. The service is extremely slow. I'm always here 20 minutes before I even get a drink. Food is another 30 minutes at least. The place is dirty I'm always wiping the seats off when I sit down cause there is food all over them. The ice machine is dirty I always get stuff in my drink and the bathroom in the guys at least smells like pee and looks like it was clean three days ago. read more

Won't eat here again. Just went through the drive through and waited an usually long amount of time for an old hamburger and greasy/oily cold fries. I just called the restaurant and the manager insisted everything is freshly and made to order. Not this time- looks like they peeled back an old burger and threw in the extras that I asked for I knew it was some old moldy burger sitting there because the cheese was melted in place meaning it was cold but had that melted shape of the hamburger- like it was sitting out for a while. Well below the Steak & Shake in Fort Pierce. Ordered a double cheeseburger and they came out and said they were out of provolone. I just assumed they'd use American cheese. Newish waiter and I never ordered provolone. The burger patties were burnt around the edges and thinner than many business cards. The chocolate milkshake was good though, with fewer ice crystals than the one I had in Fort Pierce. Unless you're really hungry, I'd skip this place in favor of a place that serves decent food. read more

Dont even waste your time going through the driveway unless you have nothing to do for the rest of the day because thats how long it will take. This is probably the worst kept Steak and Shake, it was filthy. Paper and napkins on the floor, Sticky floor that needed mopping Really Bad both the foyer and the dining areas. The restroom was filthy too. We were seated at the table and after noticing the state of nastiness we decided to leave! Beware, if the front end of this Steak &Shake is so dirty, then you can imagine the Food Preparation area cannot be much better. We came here on the 4th of July after eating lunch the day before at the Fort Pierce Steak n Shake, which was slow and dirty and the food did not taste like Steak n Shake. This Port St Lucie franchise is well run, with sufficient staff, and it was clean. We were seated promptly, our server was courteous and efficient, and we got our food quickly. It was delicious. This Steak n Shake restored our faith in the brand. read more

The wait staff here is terrible. The last three times I have been here, the average time from when we sat down to when the server took our drink order has been 15 minutes. And this was with 4 servers visible and a half empty restaurant. Doesn't appear to be a sting management presence. Food is on par with any other location. It took 30 minutes to get our order and then it was inedible. The cook obviously just tossed it together - my wife's sandwich was pretty gruesome. There were only four or five occupied table do it wasn't like they were swarmed. We didn't get what we asked for on the sandwich and got things we didn't want. I may have then been able to hand-distribute my novel around all 50 states. Once I would get feedback, I could then rewrite the troublesome chapters.
