He cut out the old faucet, and "sweated" the copper pipes (new plumbing term I learned) to install the new faucet very quickly, and he cleaned up after himself (though there wasn't much of a mess to begin with). While he was in my basement working on the plumbing, I mentioned that I had a bad light switch/socket. He was happy to take a quick look and diagnose the problem. Whenever I have my next repair need that is a bit out of my comfort zone, I will contact Danzinger Do-it. He was fast, professional, and very reasonably priced.

It was easy peasy setting up the appointment - the person I spoke to over the phone answered all my questions, explained all my options in full detail and scheduled a convenient time for the appointment. I promptly received a confirmation e-mail with time, date and services I ordered. While the Oxi Fresh cleaning techs are normally punctual, this was not the case this time around. I received an apologetic call fifteen minutes after the scheduled cleaning time indicating he was a couple hours behind schedule. While I appreciated the call, I wish he had called sooner, allowing me the opportunity to adjust my afternoon schedule. One thing I am grateful for about Oxi is that I always get the same tech, so he knows our house and its high traffic areas. I have tried a number of different carpet cleaners, but I get the best results from Oxi Fresh. They do a remarkable job of removing nasty-looking stains left by sick pets and careless teenagers. They never seem rushed to complete their work - they take the time they need to get the desired result. While Oxi says the carpets will dry in one hour, they were still a little wet after 24 hours, even with the assistance of a fan to speed matters along. This time around, I also used Oxi to clean a sofa that also serves as the preferred grazing spot for the kids and the prime napping location for the family pooch. It was so bad, my wife was ready to toss it to the curb (the sofa, not the kids / dog) and buy a new one. The tech spent a good 45 minutes working on the sofa and I have to say, the sofa looks almost as good as new after he finished. There are boatloads of carpet cleaners out there, none of them gives me a better result than Oxi Fresh, so I am willing to accept the occasional inconvenience.

They are worth the wait (booked 2-3 months out) Long version: We had water damage in our kitchen. We needed the damaged floor replaced and the rest of the first floor sanded and stained to match. No easy task since our floor was 17 years old. After they sanded, stained, and sealed the floor, we realized that the original builder (17 years ago) put a 2 foot by 10 foot strip of pink looking red oak in the middle of the white oak floorboards in the living room. This was imposible to see because of the tinted stain that was put on the floor to cover up the fact that the wood didn't match. Jon, our sales guy, came out on a Saturday to talk it over with us. They worked with us to squeeze us into their schedule despite being booked 3 months out. He even came and tore out the red oak himself since all of the other workers were tied up. They took out the red oak and put new white oak back in and now you can't tell at all. Honestly, I thought we were screwed. We did have to pay for them to come back to do it since it wasn't their screw up.

I have had a few different companies in to clean my carpets, and Alex and his son were BY FAR the nicest, most thorough and most helpful of anyone! It is Alex's business, and he is the one who shows up to do the cleaning which is super rare. I reached out on Wednesday last minute and asked for a Friday appointment and they fit me in even with short notice! He noticed the hose was pulling up kitty litter, and asked to see my vacuum. He spent time looking over my vacuum and letting me know what was wrong with it. This wasn't something he HAD to do or was being paid to do. He really was helping me person to person. He even offered to pop the cover off and tool around if I wanted--I knew the vacuum was shot, so I told him not to bother. How cool is that? Very rare in this day and age to have someone actually provide true above and beyond service. My carpets which were DISGUSTING (cat/toddler) look like new! The price is very reasonable and matches most of the other places around town--the service you get here is definitely worth the value. I highly recommend them! read more

I chose Steam Plus because they had all positive reviews, and I was not disappointed. We just moved into our grandparents house that they have lived in for the past 50 years. I would be surprised if the carpets had ever been professionally cleaned. When I called to set up the service, Alex (the owner) answered and was able to accommodate me within 2 days. He was very friendly on the phone! When he arrived, he was on time and completely ready to go. He was very very thorough, and even offered to help me move a heavy box off of the carpet.
