Had my car for front hub wheel bearing service, they quote me $800, after then my dash was with abs, awd, and more lights on. I returned next day Jim mechanic has no idea what was that and why. Asked me to bring another day knowing that it would harm my abs, after 2 times coming back they exchange the hubs with new ones and charged $184 more for sensor some part (it was not the problem) they said were enabled to return to the store. Owner refused to make any discount even knowing that it was their fault. Then walk away pressuring me to pay or leave the car there. Very bad service not same when Rick was there. read more

Got my car dropped off after the car had some issues driving. They said I needed a new radiator and fan and told me it would be about $755. Got quoted else where for much less. Then I told them I would get the car towed home. When the tow guy got there they told him he needed to pay $60 for them looking at it for about .2 seconds. Which over the phone this morning they NEVER told me. They did not give us a detailed receipt. It had no explanation of the charges. I would NOT recommend. Ever since they got a new mechanic I feel like the place went downhill. read more

CAR WASH DAMAGED MY WINDSHIELD. This outdated car wash is anything but "soft touch" as advertised. The wash scratched and left myriad tiny chips pockmarking the glass on my vehicle. What a mess when the sun hits it. It can't be repaired with buffing; I need a new windshield. The man I spoke to at the garage completely dismissed the possibility that their car wash had done such a thing. He said "sorry" and walked away, refusing to take any responsibility. Do yourself a favor and walk away from Steckel's if you value your vehicle. I sure regret going through their car wash. The icing on the cake was it didn't even get my vehicle clean and left large spots on the paint. read more

The owner of this business was very efficient and very kind to me when my car was stuck in the snow during a recent snowstorm. He arrived within minutes, and was extremely kind during a very stressful situation for me. The next day, when I called to pick my car up, the owner shoveled my car out from their parking lot and cleaned all of the snow off of my car. The kindness and consideration doesn't stop there.....HE DROPPED MY CAR OFF AT MY HOME so that I didn't have to walk to his business on slippery sidewalks!! Like....WHO DOES THAT THESE DAYS?!?! My Mother's car overheated and she brought it here. Told she needs a water pump she said to replace it. Overheated on the way home, returned car. Told she needed a heater core ($860) she said go ahead. Overheated on way home. I looked at it and it was a $10 RESERVOIR CAP! Shady business. Family members car was totaled. Insurance company went to go pick it up. Owner stated the car was no longer there and has no clue what happened to it and to stop f******* calling him. Was charged $647.00 to tow disabled car off Rt 80. Felt completely taken advantage of.. Had no choice but to pay if I wanted my car back.

DO NOT GET TOWED FROM THESE CRIMINALS. If I could zero stars to these theives I would. My car was towed and after being charged a tow fee of $150, they tacked on a few extras including: $35 for labor (to pull a lever on truck to get the car on), $55 admin fee (to print my reciept), and a yard fee of $40 (to open the gate) Aside from that, they charged storage $45 for each day. Here's a public message for you John Steckel, just because you're legally allowed to prey on the helpless people who get stuck near your garage doesn't mean that you should. read more

Dishonest. Overpriced. Poor work. John, the owner, sold me a car and no sooner did I get it in my driveway and the Check Engine light came on. I called John and he said to bring it back and drop it off. I did and when he called me to come pick it back up, he handed me a $385 bill. I was shocked at his gouging me but just wanted to be done with this guy. The very next morning the Check Engine light came back on. I called John to discuss and he instantly became aggressive, wouldn't let me complete a sentence, and hung up on me. So now I'm out the $385 on top of what I paid for the car and the problem persists. read more
