It's a real mix of kids of all ages and teens and young adults, careening around semi-out-of-control while Top 40 hits blast over the sound system. When we were there on a weekend night there were multiple birthday parties happening, and folks were jostling around and it was like a free-for-all until the DJ announced special "adults only" or "teens only" or "backward skating only" times. And that's the charm of it-- it's a dirty-skate, no-rules, loud-music, you-will-knock-over-children throwback sort of place. The people who work here are legends and I am jealous of their choreography. It's a very Lehigh Valley experience to come here. I love it.

She proceeded to process the entire line which had no end in sight. After 15 minutes of waiting, she still did not return the skates. When I questioned it, she became quite curt. She said that I should have come on a day that wasn't so busy. It was very off putting. She then said that I didn't have to stay and she would give my money back. When I sorted out my husband for assistance and told him that our daughter's skates were not returned and of the owner's behavior, she apologized and gave me four vouchers. It was my daughter's birthday and her approach really soured things.

I assume the cameras that were "reviewed" are not…read moreworking or the fact that it was the owners son because I had 3 people I didn't know ask me if I was ok after I was taken out. One of the people I did not know said the kid is a continuous problem. I am not sure how to make a formal complaint since I went to the snack bar spoke to 3 women to inform them and all I was told was to go to the guy standing in the rink which the incident occurred in front of. This also happened right in front of where the parents sit to watch their kids and everyone sitting there had saw it too. I was never told to write a "formal complaint" or asked if I wanted to do so. Maybe posting a sign or having employees informed of what to do when a complaint is made so that it is "formal complaint" would be a good suggestion.

The employees at the rink were so helpful on getting him the right ice skates, giving pointers for lacing and some great tidbits on getting him used to being on ice skates. The skate rentals are the best I've ever seen and ended up being better than the hand me down hockey ice skates I brought for him. After some help from Jeff, my son went from wanting to go home to asking when we can come back for more ice skating. And he has been talking about ice skating every day since we went last week. They do a great job with covid safety and currently the number of skaters is reduced. I highly recommend coming here for public skating, especially on a weekday. I can't wait to get my kids enrolled in skating lessons here.
