Stemmies has a fantastic staff in one well-aged establishment. Known for their martinis, they did not disappoint. With 73 martinis to choose from (but they have more), it was great to know that every martini my girlfriend I had was perfect. They gave me the best saketini I have ever had as well as an exceptional Hendrick's gin with cucumber. The meals are great with fresh vegetables. The crab cake was good but their crab soup is out of this world. Their Ahi tuna sandwich is exceptional, while their chicken is good. The bread was great with their homemade and somewhat spicy dipping sauce. My girlfriend also loved their onion soup. We look forward to returning and hope to explore more martinis as we try other dishes. read more

I had been to this cute, quaint place just for a drink at the bar, nice bar selections, but never to eat. We started with a bowl of chili which was big enough to share. It was delicious. Then we split the Italian panini which at first sight seemed slim on the meats, but it was really flavorful, and we also shared the tuna melt which was also very good. Nice bar and grill. We sat ourselves in a booth in this nice & comfortable Bar and Grill. Our waitress came right over and took our drink order. The drinks arrived quickly and I ordered a bowl of crab bisque. Very tasty and hot, some of the best I've had anywhere. Then I ordered some wings. They were pretty good. Nice small tavern inn feel. We sat in a nice cozy wood alcove. Service was friendly and good. Martini was good but only came with 1 olive not 3. In an age when people are trying to be more conscientious about drinking and driving I was hoping for a better no alcohol beer selection, unfortunately they only had Heineken 0.0, would have been great to see Athletic Brewing options for instance. We had a salad & chicken fingers basket. Standard pub fare but the fries were really good. 4 stars for the atmosphere & service, 3 stars for the drinks & food. 3.5 stars overall so rounding up to 4. 1818 is one of my favorite places to go for dinner and drinks. They have an EXTENSIVE martini list me a full bar. The martinis are amazing and so is the food. I typically get wraps especially the BLT wrap. I also love their fries. Service is quick but beware seating is first come first serve. I like to sit at the bar and order food if i can! It's very little so it can get loud but it has great ambiance. Highly recommend! read more

This is a fairly local bar for my wife and I to go to on a date night. It's cozy and has a lot of history, so you get the old pub kind of vibe in the place while also getting an upscale food and drink menu. The food is always quite good and they update the menu periodically so when we are able to make it over there, it's nice to try new food items while also having some classics that remain all the time. We typically always go to Stevie's (we always refer to it at 1818) for the beverages though. the bartenders are typically always very knowledgable and can make some fantastic drinks. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow but that can happen with a lot of customers and only 1 person tending bar. The size of the place is actually why it's not a 5 star rating in my opinion but it's nothing that anyone who works there can do anything about. It's just something that people should be aware of though. It's tight. There's only a handful of booths and tables, and the bar fills up very fast with the locals. So if you plan on trying to just walk in and get a couple seats at the bar without calling ahead, think again. Chances are either you will have to wait for a seat, a table, or a booth. Which I mean, shows you that this is a quality location with a fan base of patrons. But it also means that you need to plan ahead to swing by during peak hours. I typically would try to swing by after the dinner crowd leaves to assure that I will have a couple of seats at the bar for my wife and I. All in all, it's a great location and I plan to return again and again for their quality drinks and entrees. read more

The Alfredo perogies were ok but nothing special. The nachos - flavorful but meh. Short on cheese. The fries were great but the cheese steak was probably the worst I've ever had. No flavor at all. Been going to the establishment for 20 plus years and ever since under new ownership it has gone down hill in regard to hospitality and feeling welcome. Server can barely smile and seemed annoyed with having to take care of us because she frankly had too many tables and was taking care of customers at bar. Parking here is terrible but people deal with because of the atmosphere of the place and it being part of our small town. One of our party parked out in front of building in what was thought to be an acceptable spot as there was no sign stating otherwise. Car was parked for about two hours and as we paid check and was about to leave the management came in yelling at top of voice who has x car, it needs to be moved. It was so embarrassing and unprofessional. How about you ask your employees to go to each table to ask do you have x car? If so, do you mind moving it, we don't want our patrons parking here. That would have been understandable and right way to approach as we were paying customers. Because of this and how it was addressed we will never patronize this place again. And we will tell our families and friends who have also been going there for years, before Stemie's. Be kind to your patrons as they pay to keep your business running and we were not one time customers and have patronized for a long time only to be treated like shit. read more

On the outskirts of the inner city of Easton, stands a quaint tavern that comes pretty well recommended in the area. It seems that the 1818 tavern is a go-to place for many locals. Kylee, my server, was friendly, funny and attentive. I ordered three things, a draft brew, pear pecan salad, an English burger with fruit. See the pics...all three were excellent. The atmosphere is very friendly, one gets a nice vibe here, quite relaxing even though it was busy. The only two drawbacks that I saw were: the cell towers in the area make for bad reception for cell phones users. Their in-house Wi-Fi didn't help either and if you ask for extra salad dressing a 50cent charge will be added to your bill. It's not the charge but my server should have alerted that to me prior. We have not attended since Covid. Apparently this business has gone down hill. My cosmo was horrible, beer was flat, barmaids not nice. No hot or warm in the ladies room. I've cold only! We won't be back! I complained about my drink to "Patty" (pretty much straight liquor) she told me "no one else complains." And then continued around the bar asking all the locals if they liked their drinks. Absolutely horrible locals only dive! First time and last time here, should have "listened" to Yelp and Trip Advisor Reviews, surcharged without informing for "aujus" for filet sandwich while it was stated on the description, however they did not even give "aujus" they gave a brown gravy, had to ask two times for it then when got the bill saw surcharge. Sat at bar , barmaid very friend to the "regulars" basically ignored me and my boyfriend. My "filet mignon" sandwich was Just OK not worth $20. Really wanted to give a better rating however if they want to remain in business they should treat customers better and inform of surcharges for things stated that came with it. Used like 1818 Tavern. They have been one of our stops for Martinis and apps on and off for years. During the pandemic we picked up a few times for various goodies but tonight was the last night. Tonight I called to place an order for pick up, AFTER I placed the I was told "ok we are now adding 20% to ALL TAKE OUT ORDERS" ummm for what exactly ????? You picked up the phone and spent about 3 mins with me! A little bit of sticker shock when first viewing the menu, but after ordering the bruchetta appetizer and loving it, we got over it. MR's burger was huge and delicious and my cocoa almond cranberry salad was amazing!! Who would think to put cocoa covered almonds in a salad? What a good call! My martinis ($8.50 each) were so good... I had a mangotini and a dark chocolate cherry martini, yum! They were a decent size too for that price. Let me tell you! I was treated to this 'hole in the wall' while visiting Easton, PA and I decided on the English Tuna Melt with fries with a side salad. Wow! I thought because I hadn't eaten all day that it was so good but I ate the other half of it later that night and it was STILL SO GOOD! Wow Definitely worth the visit. It's very, very quaint. I don't know where to start with this place. The last two times I have gone there, it has been nothing short of a disaster. About 8 months ago we were told it would be a 15 minute wait that turned into one hour. And to sit or stand in the small waiting room they have there is very uncomfortable. Then last week my family and I decided to give it a try despite our trip 8 months ago. I called ahead because I didn't know what their seating situation was like due to COVID. We were told that they weren't taking reservations. And they could accommodate 5 no problem. When we arrived, there was one table outside and it was RESERVED but for someone the owner knew. Then we tried inside. We waited for 10 min for someone to show up. No hostess, no bartender, no servers inside whatsoever while we waited. When they finally came, we were told only 4 people could sit I side and not 5. After we already spent 20 min driving there because of what were told on the phone. I used to frequent 1818 and after being disappointed the last two times, I will no longer be giving them my business. I suggest you skip this place and take your money elsewhere. read more

My wife and I and another couple stopped in for drinks and dinner last Tuesday night. We sat at the bar having a drink waiting for our table. My wife ordered a glass of white wine. The wine was bad... pure vinegar. When we told the bartender she said there was nothing she could do about it. We asked her to take it off out tab. She said she had to ask her manager and when she returned she said her manager said my wife could have another glass of wine but that they could take it off our tab!! We were going to leave but it was getting late so we decided to stay for dinner. We ordered the Delmonico steak. It was the worst steak we've ever had. Full of grizzle. I spit more into my napkin than I ate! And the rice pudding for dessert had no rice in it! So bad! We used to love going there but they must have changed hands or management because this visit was a waste of $140 for the 4 of us. Bad food and unpleasant service. Plate came in after 45 minute wait at lunch time and the quality control from the kitchen was poor as ingredients in the salad weren't properly washed. Waitress didn't even apologize when the plate was sent back and tried to tell me they weren't going to take it off the ticket. When I asked to speak to the owner to give them a chance to explain and make me want to come back, the waitress dismissed me saying the owner wasn't in. There's tons of competition in the area and that's not the way to gain clients. Accidents happen but restauranteurs need to treat paying customers with good food and cordial service which this place clearly lacks. I will not go back nor I will recommend it to others. read more
