So good, on par with the cheesesteaks I had in Philadelphia! The lady at the counter was very nice and sold me on trying one of their slushies, said they were the best ever and I think she's right. 2 bites in to the steak Philly with peppers, onions and white American cheese and I felt like it deserved a great review, it's very legit if you're looking for an authentic Philly. Look at the pics now and compare them to the past. There is more bread than meat! Pitiful! The turkey cheesesteak is all lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo! You don't see any meat and I didn't taste any! I recently ordered food to pick up. I was somewhat early for the pickup so I expected to wait. I let person working the counter that I was there. They had trouble finding the order. I waited about 30 more minutes for the order and took it home. The order was incorrect but tasted great. While I was a little disappointed with the service I really enjoyed the meal. Food is great... service is VERY slow though, even when you call it in. I hate to wait 30 minutes after I got here for a call in order, which I called in 25 minutes before and I was on my lunch. I wasn't happy, but the food was great and the staff was friendly. They just really need to prioritize getting your order done in a timely fashion. I've only ordered here twice and that's the main reason, because both times I had an extremely long wait. The second time they also mixed up the orders a little bit. Made my first stop here because a lot of my Yelp friends wrote good reviews about this place so I had to try it. The reviews were pretty spot on too. They make a pretty tasty cheesesteak for a place in the hood. I also had the Steel City Steakfries which were good as well. They don't skimp that's for sure. They give you a huge container of fries topped with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapenos, and a mountain of steak! I would certainly consider coming back the next time I'm in the vicinity. I usually go out to Philly's Best in Chicago for a great cheesesteak but it's a far drive just for a sandwich. This by far is the best Philly in Indiana. They use cheese whiz or you can get white American cheese which is the best. Love this place. Don't expect anything fancy from the inside, it's next to a gas station.
