They sell smaller sized pieces of taffy which are what we personally prefer. You can get regular sized as well. Due to COVID protocols, other than taffy, all other pay by weight candies were empty. The price for taffy by the pound was a little more than Shrivers, $10.99 versus $10. We bought an assortment from each place to compare later. Also Fralingers not only sells their own brand of taffy but James brand as well. The store was not as crowded and had some nostalgic candies for sale such as clove gum and candy cigarettes. Knocking one star for lack of other types of candy available but still a great experience overall.

That said, it was still delicious, and the flavor selection made for a fun tasting experience. The sea salt caramel was probably the standout for me. The shop itself has that pure Ocean City boardwalk charm, an old-school candy store with a wide range of sweets, some clearly made in-house, alongside nostalgic classic candies. It's the kind of place where you just want to linger and explore. Staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming. We were with our oldest, just browsing and tasting together, and it made for a memorable little stop. Highly recommend. This is a must-hit for anyone walking the boards in OC. I felt like getting away last night, so my son and I took the almost hour ride to OC. There were literally only four stores on the boardwalk open! Fudge Kitchen was one of them :) We had a fun time perusing the store. The one male employee there was super nice. I got some (wowee fresh!) Swedish fish; my son, cashew bark (thickest I've ever seen) and we got some Macaroons for my daughter who stayed back. Although I felt like I was "cheating" on Shriver's (a family tradition that started with my aforementioned grandparents), I must say that everything we had was yummy, plus the store was very clean and organized.

The 500 different hot sauces are what keep me coming back. I have tried most sauces they have out to sample, yes, they even have a large table of varying levels of hot sauce to sample, and all of them haven't disappointed. This most recent week I was here they had hired a new employee named Charlie. We developed a small friendship over discussing hot sauces and other items in the store. He was very nice and suggested several hot sauces to me which have now become my favorites. I would recommend coming to Goodies Gone Wild on the boardwalk whenever you're in Ocean City NJ!
