I give this daycare a -0…read more I spoke with the director Amy and made an appointment to tour later in the week. I explained the unique situation at hand, which was speech delay and that he needed to be in a smaller class setting for extra support. She ASSURED me that the Fort Lauderdale location would be ideal and accommodating because they just opened up. I took the day off from work to tour the place. I showed up with my child to see it. Red flag number one was that they didn't even know I was coming. Red flag number two was the two idiots in the front speaking in Spanish assuming I didn't understand, going back and forth regarding who was going to show me around. Last red flag, was them rejecting me and my son, lying to my face saying there isn't any space for him. How is there no space and the class sizes are small due to it being a new location? Also, why tour me then? I feel like they just wrote me off because my son was a little fidgety wanting to look around like any 2 yr. old. This place is unprofessional and unkind.

I have brought three of my four children here over the course of the past fourteen years, and will be enrolling my fourth this summer. The owners, and coaches, Rob and Kathy McKay, not only know about swimming, but they know about children. They both continually research ways in which babies and young children learn - using fun, age-appropriate games to teach crucial swimming skills. The children are having so much fun, they don't realize they're involved in instruction. The McKays are dedicated to providing a gentle and nurturing environment in which children can learn to love swimming, without the pressure and scare tactics that some other swim schools employ. If you're wanting to drop your child off while you sit on the sidelines, this is NOT the place for you. Parents in the water with their baby/child is a must here at this school - so it really becomes a mommy (or daddy) and me program. I can't think of another mommy and me program that I would enjoy more! You will spend your class time with your child in the warm waters having fun, playing games, and singing songs...all while learning swim techniques. To this day, my 17 yo is still such a relaxed swimmer and loves the water - as does my 8 yo. My 4 yo refused to even put his face in the water last year. Within a few classes, he progressed to putting his whole head under and LOVING IT! Within a few months, he was diving to the bottom of the shallow end to pick up a ring on the bottom of the pool. I can't tell you how many horror stories I hear from mothers who go elsewhere and their children become terrified of the water due to the forceful teaching techniques.
