Small class size, caring nurturing teachers. This is a child centered TRUE Montessori school if you are looking for one for your children.

In the 2 and half months he was there he got hurt 5 times they only report 2 incident reports. The last day he was there they told me my son was playing on the playground by himself and fell and hit his head. Everyday there was a new teacher and assistant in his class, there is no consistency at this school. My son got sick with a stomach virus and then a few days later got viral pharyngitis, he was out for a week. So I tried to use a sick week for my son, the owner Marcos told me he had to be there for 3 months (like my son is an employee). Then he tried to tell me that I had to give written notice that my child would be sick. How are you supposed to know 2 weeks in advance that your child will be sick? The owner is very defense and has an excuse for everything, should not be in business. Per IMK handbook "All children get one week vacation/sick time. If you choice to use this week must have it in writing. If you would like to use your vacation/ sick week for time off please give IMK a written notice two weeks prior to child(ren) not being in attendance." These people are crooks, take your child somewhere else.

When a child gets hurt it is not always reported, I have had this issue more than one time. With IMK being very convenient, It is not worth it by all means. For the price we pay a week i would rather much pay this at a preschool that actually teachers the kids rather than babysit. My child will get pulled out of this "preschool"

Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, each child is guided at their own pace, following their curiosity within a carefully prepared environment. This fosters independence, concentration, and a deep sense of responsibility from a very young age. Through hands-on materials and real-life activities, children don’t just memorize information—they understand it. They develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and emotional awareness while learning to collaborate respectfully with others. Teachers act as guides, observing and supporting each child’s unique path rather than directing every step. What makes Montessori especially powerful is that it nurtures intrinsic motivation. Children begin to take ownership of their learning, building confidence and a genuine joy for discovery. In essence, Montessori is not just about what children learn, but how they learn—truly Learning how to learn and loving it—a foundation that supports them for life.

As a teacher myself, I'm deeply impressed by the balance of structure and kindness that the school provides. The environment is warm, well-organized, and truly centered on the children's growth and joy. Ms. Christina, Ms. Wendy, and Ms. Roza do a wonderful job ensuring everything runs smoothly, and my daughter looks forward every day to seeing her friends and her favorite guides, Ms. Margarita and Ms. Loraine. She especially loves the after-school Spanish immersion program with Ms. Margarita, as well as her dance class with Tippy Toes. From the very beginning, we felt how calm, caring, and well-run the school is -- and that feeling has only grown stronger over time. Ms. Meri and Ms. Janete are truly amazing. They're patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child. Our son has grown so much since he started -- socially, emotionally, and even with everyday skills like independence and communication. It's been incredible to watch. As a parent, knowing your child is in such good hands every single day is everything. We really wish we had found this place sooner.

I explained the unique situation at hand, which was speech delay and that he needed to be in a smaller class setting for extra support. She ASSURED me that the Fort Lauderdale location would be ideal and accommodating because they just opened up. I took the day off from work to tour the place. I showed up with my child to see it. Red flag number one was that they didn't even know I was coming. Red flag number two was the two idiots in the front speaking in Spanish assuming I didn't understand, going back and forth regarding who was going to show me around. Last red flag, was them rejecting me and my son, lying to my face saying there isn't any space for him. How is there no space and the class sizes are small due to it being a new location? Also, why tour me then? I feel like they just wrote me off because my son was a little fidgety wanting to look around like any 2 yr. old. This place is unprofessional and unkind.

It's incredible to see your own child blossom into a real swimmer - without fear, and with joy in the pool - after just a few lessons. It's also incredible to see that evolution in the other children with whom you share the class. We enjoy their mindful approach for both parents and children in how they structure the classes. We also respect their extensive Montessori teaching background, which shows in how they treat each child individually, with respect and kindness and calmness, and approach swimming as a series of small steps that all come together for different leaps of skill in the water. If you care most about your child learning to swim in a supportive, gentle and loving environment, this is the school for you. You will not only nurture a safe swimmer, but also a child who discovers joy, confidence and fun in the pool.

I have brought three of my four children here over the course of the past fourteen years, and will be enrolling my fourth this summer. The owners, and coaches, Rob and Kathy McKay, not only know about swimming, but they know about children. They both continually research ways in which babies and young children learn - using fun, age-appropriate games to teach crucial swimming skills. The children are having so much fun, they don't realize they're involved in instruction. The McKays are dedicated to providing a gentle and nurturing environment in which children can learn to love swimming, without the pressure and scare tactics that some other swim schools employ. If you're wanting to drop your child off while you sit on the sidelines, this is NOT the place for you. Parents in the water with their baby/child is a must here at this school - so it really becomes a mommy (or daddy) and me program. I can't think of another mommy and me program that I would enjoy more! You will spend your class time with your child in the warm waters having fun, playing games, and singing songs...all while learning swim techniques. To this day, my 17 yo is still such a relaxed swimmer and loves the water - as does my 8 yo. My 4 yo refused to even put his face in the water last year. Within a few classes, he progressed to putting his whole head under and LOVING IT! Within a few months, he was diving to the bottom of the shallow end to pick up a ring on the bottom of the pool. I can't tell you how many horror stories I hear from mothers who go elsewhere and their children become terrified of the water due to the forceful teaching techniques. I feel truly blessed to get to bring my children here. Lifestyle Swim School is THE swim school if you want your child(ten) to love swimming for LIFE!

From what's up, photos, videos and great communication between me (the mother) and Mrs Claudia, the school's owner, principal, the only licensed teacher, coordinator of 45 children with 3 helpers. Until suddenly things started and got weird. My daughter hit her head and came home with a bump on her forehead and I was not even notified. She said she was moving and doesn't know what happened. After I called and asked for an explanation, the next day I was forced to sign a document releasing the school of such responsibility. Several other problems happened and Mrs. Claudia abstained at all times. My daughter returned home with rash and dirty panties. I asked why. No explanation. sometimes her food came back untouched and sometimes with ants. I questioned. No explanation. From 9 to 2:30 without eating anything, and no one pay attention on that? She didn't answer anymore. I sent text to request a meeting in person and she said she had no time because her priority is to teach. She read my what's up messages and didn't answer me anymore. Until I went to school and questioned all that. She said if i have an emergency, I should call school, but my communication was always by text. I paid fee of $195, to reserve a space for Vpk because she charges it months in advance. I gave up on leaving my daughter another year over there because these problems were already unsustainable and even knowing that I was going to lose the fee, I asked her for the application paper back and she said she had already applied it to the government. I called Vpk and they denied this information. And so once again I asked for the application paper and she told me to apply again and print another one because she had already sent the application. It was when I said I had called there and confirmed that there was no upload on my daughter's behalf. Then she decided to give me back the paper. The last day of the school, she didn't even go outside to deliver the children and say goodbye, not even for an act of education. In addition, I was no longer satisfied with the cleanliness of the school, because sometimes I would go with my daughter to the bathroom In addition, I was no longer satisfied with the cleanliness of the school, bathroom mainly. Some mothers also had problems and took their children out of there. I hope I helped you make a better choice

All my friends kids montessori vpk progams include weekly meetings with parents. Report cards, feild trips, pageants, school pictures. We got nothing! The school picture i got was of one of the "teachers" holding my son by a tree looking angrily at the floor) the Christmas holiday "party" cost 20$ from every kid and got pushed back until march bc one or two kids were sick. The 20$ was collected from every kid to pay for a bounce house and food. There was no bouncehouse and one table with bagels and kraft cheese. They couldve paid fr the whole "party" with only my 20 alone yet collected money from so many kids and kept it for themselves. Ive seen what good schools are like and this is NOT it. They kept our 20 for their pockets and the party was total garbage.this happened multiple times. They NEVER communicated my sons progress. I was so frustrated about how terrible the school was. Plus he was supposed to be in the free 3 hour vpk but due to an error on their part was placed in the program we had to pay for. After complaining about this they told me all the free spots were taken and it was too bad. They are crooks and the school is a scam! I couldnt wait to pull him from there to share this review.
