    Fried mushrooms

We had been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally checked it out! Unassuming exterior and interior but clean and neat! Our server was excellent - let us know ahead of time there would be a wait for the food (they had a large party come in before us), checked on us often and was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We had fried mushrooms for appetizer - really good, lightly battered and very juicy. Hubs and I both had the cheeseburger and it was amazing - a good "old-timey" burger on a yummy potato bun. I added grilled onions to mine - so good. We split an order of fries and an order of onion rings - loved the crispy onion rings (good onion flavor, not just batter!)! Probably wouldn't order the fries again - maybe a little overcooked and not crispy at all. All in all, will come back again and again for the delish burgers and onion rings and look forward to trying a dessert.

Love the burgers and Philly cheese. Sweet potato fries are so yummy. Staff very friendly and great dining room. Though I usually take it to go.

So I first went to this place when it opened. I was excited about a new burger place, and they advertised an "Angus smashburger" so I was hoping for a great new eating venue. I was promptly bummed. Even though I placed the order over the phone about 20 minutes before arriving, I still had to sit and wait about another 10 minutes which may not seem like a lot, but I was on my way to work and still had to drive another 15 minutes to get there. But, ok, I got my order and rushed to work. I have the luxury of not having to wait for a lunch break to eat, so I dug in right away. The fried mushrooms were ok; small button mushrooms in a thin batter. The cheeseburger was ok. It's wasn't a smashburger in the true sense of the word; just a small flat patty. And the fries were ok; overly cooked and not crisp or seasoned. But, I thought, well, they just opened so maybe they're just working through those opening issues... I thought I would wait a few months and go back. I was craving a burger and the husby suggested the restaurant. I thought, why not? I'd give it another chance. Things have not improved. What to expect: 1. A long wait. There's a single cook and according to the waitress they have a "very small grill" on which to prepare everything. There were two other parties that had been seated when we came in (a family of six and a party of three). They didn't have their food, so we had to wait until they had all been served. We waited about 30 minutes for our food. Someone that called in their order came and sat for about 10 minutes waiting on their meal. There's a single waitress, and she kept disappearing while people waited on drinks, service at the ice cream counter, etc. 2. Still not a smash burger. The patty was just small and thin without the crisp edges and flavor you expect. The bun was either stale to begin with or had been in the warmer for too long because it was hard. At least the toppings seemed fresh. Husby opted for the special of the day, the patty melt, but he said there was nothing to it; again a small patty with some grilled onions and maybe pickles? 3. Fries and onion rings were very brown. Either they were overly done or the oil really needs to be changed. 4. Not much in terms of decor or ambience. I really would like to support this small business, but at the moment I don't know that I will come back for a third try.

Omg one of the best burgers I have had. I ordered the combo double cheeseburgers with their freshly cut fries yummmmy. The meat is seasoned tender not too juicy but juicy. I am actually craving another and will be back soon. Service was good you walk up the counter and order the food and pick where you like to sit and they will bring it out to you. Ambience is set up like a nice cafeteria type setting

Great homemade burgers! And why do I need to write 85 characters? This is calculated to keep reviews down.stupid.

I was a bit early for my pickup, and while I waited I was even offered a water. It smells so incredible in here that I was already so excited for my meal. I ordered the Polish plate, because it's my first experience trying Polish cuisine. I wanted an opportunity to try many different dishes, and this plate included Golabki, Potato & Cheese Pierogis, Potato Pancakes, and one Polish Sausage. A friend of mine raved about his mother's golabki for years, so naturally I started my meal with that. Wow, it was incredible! It almost reminded me of a spaghetti dish with its vivid tomato flavor. I really love that the roll holds together well when you're eating it with a knife and fork. I'm going to ask my friend for a recipe because it seems like it would be a good go to meal. I think my next favorite item was the polish sausage. I do enjoy eating sausages, but sometimes I'm just not a fan of how some are seasoned. That wasn't a problem with this polish sausage, because it was delicious and flavored just to my liking. Now pierogis I have tried before, and I'm not sure if they are polish origin or a neighboring country, but I have always enjoyed them. These cheese and potato pierogis were exactly as I expected them. They were cooked well and stuffed with filling. I shared a few with my nephew who is a bit picky, and to our surprise he was enjoying them. I would definitely give another flavor option a try! The final item was the potato pancakes and I think they were cooked well, but I think I would have preferred a little more salt to bring out the flavor. I plan to research Polish food after this visit and see how each dish is usually eaten. There were 3 condiments that accompanied my meal, but I didn't use them. For the most part, each dish was delicious all on its own. The Polish plate is definitely enough to share between 2 people, and you'd probably have just enough room for dessert as well. I know the pistachio cheesecake will definitely see me, if I find myself in the Daytona beach area again! Thank you Dill Schnitzel & Pierogi House for an amazing first experience with Polish cuisine!

What a fun find! I was in town for a career fair and my friend said I should check this place out…read more It's in a bit of a weird spot in a mostly chain restaurant shopping area, but don't let that fool you! It was literally steps to the beach so that was nice to stroll out there before/after. After poking around some shops, I made my way upstairs to Dill! The place is cute and colorful! Loved the European decor! I was there on a Tuesday night and there were only 2 other tables sat so pretty dead at the time. Server was lovely, cheerful, and helpful! They don't have a full bar but do serve beer and wine so was able to get a glass of vino. I really wanted schnitzel and pierogies but unfortunately you can only get the pierogies by the dozen (unless you get the big combo meal which comes with 6 rogis and a shit ton of other food). Problem was, I had a 6am flight the next morning so no way I would be able to eat any leftovers. I asked if there was ANY way I could just get like 2 rogis and she unfortunately said no (I totally get it, but maybe add smaller options in the future!). So I went with a cup of borscht soup and the pork schnitzel. The soup was served hot (I've only ever had it cold) and was very good! The schnitzel was legit the biggest schnitzel I've ever seen in my life and it's a GOOD THING I didn't get rogis in addition to it lol. I immediately cut it in half and was only able to eat that much. I got the mushroom sauce too and that was so yummy with the schnitzel! The potatoes and slaw were very good too, loved how refreshing the slaw was!! You would never think to look for this kind of food in Daytona of all places, but it's definitely worth a stop! If I had anyone dining with me, I could see getting a few dishes to split because of how large the schnitzel was. Wonderful place with great service and delicious food, just wish I was able to try those rogis!
