What sounds better on a hot summer's day than ice cream! I appreciate how many flavors that they have available at this shop. A little bit of everything! There as 4 of us today with 4 different pallets. I knew I was going to be able to try a little bit of ice cream out of everyone's cups! My girls did arrive before I did and got to check out the menu first. They got ordering first while I was figuring out what sounded good. And trust me, everything sounded lovely! But, after much debate with myself, I went with the banana pudding. This is some of the best banana pudding ice cream that I've had! I love that the banana flavoring isn't artificial tasting. There's nilla wafers in each bite. I got the kiddie size and regret not ordering the single serving. Which the single serving scoops very big! I adore a business that gives their customers their money's worth! My daughter got a chocolate ice cream with brownie and Oreo pieces. I forgot the name of it and I'm sad I did, it's a must have next time! I also tried my neice's strawberry ice cream, killer good! And I got a bit of my other niece's mint chocolate chip too. I appreciate that it wasn't overly minty like you're chewing a piece of gum. It was balanced with mint and chocolate pieces. I also like the fact that it wasn't colored with green food coloring. The venue is very big and bright. I love all the big windows that allow all the sunlight in. There's a cute kids room for the little ones to enjoy their treats. A banquet room is also available for birthday parties or social events. Pints of ice cream is available to take home and also ice cream cakes. Who needs these big franchise shops when you have these great options from a local small business. I'm happy that I got to share a fun ice cream date with my girls at this shop. Everything was so good. The customer service was 50/50 but the employees are young. Proud that they are working, out of the house and making money! I look forward to coming back with my husband and having another amazing scoop from Lovejoy's! And I'll make sure it's a bigger scoop next time around.

The Meh Overall employee / work layout seems confused with people going back and forth. The Bad We watched multiple examples of gloved employees grabbing and handling cash with their gloves and then using the ice cream scoops. Other than not using bare hands, their use of gloves was meaningless in both visits this summer. The 2nd time we walked over for some ice cream, my dining partner went into the bathroom before ordering, and came out and said that it was so disgusting we were leaving. She couldn't imagine seeing that bathroom and watching the food handling practices. Maybe we'll stop in again next year.

There were two girls working behind the counter today. They were getting a party of 5 taken care of. While they were busy my neice and I checked out the list of options. I like the variety of flavors besides your classics. They had a Superman, Rick and Mortey, banana, avocado and roasted sweet potato and marshmallow just to name a few. I grabbed a half scoop of the cherry and my neice got a single scoop of your classic strawberry. The scoop of strawberry was huge! I always get a kid's portion due to my fluid restriction but I was surprised at how big a single was. My neice enjoyed a good half of it and plans in finishing the rest after dinner tonight. My cherry ice cream was really good! I was hoping for a dairy free option but there wasn't any. My portion was perfect! I got enough to be happy but not too much. It was sweet, creamy and had little bits of cherry in it. I really enjoyed my flavor of choice today. I haven't had a bad experience at this joint. Every time we come the food and ice cream is always on point. And the staff is consistently nice! It's hard not to support a small local business like Delsa's.

I was actually supposed to meet my nephew at the new location in Eagle. It's actually closer to us but my sweet nephew got confused and headed down to the downtown location. No problem, I made my way downtown to meet my baby for some aunty/nephew time. It's been a few months since I have been in. The shop is a cute as ever. Merch is now available. The pink t shirt they have available was calling my name! It's the perfect shade of pink and sooooo soft. I will have to come back and really check out the merch. My nephew had already been waiting for me to arrive. He's ready for his ice cream! I noticed that they had pistachio as a flavor at the Eagle location. Kinda bummed that it wasn't available here but sweet cream and chocolate will always be a winning combo here. So today I grabbed a kiddie swirl. My nephew grabbed the medium cup with sweet cream, cherry sauce and brownies. Our ice cream was fantastic. My nephew polished off his big cup. Not gonna lie, all the extras he added made his cup look sooooooo good! I as well polished off mine. Can't leave any behind. We got to hang out with the other customers that were enjoying their treats. It makes me heart so happy seeing all these folks come and support a small local business. It's the best! I am going on another ice cream date with my neice next week. Looking forward to checking out the new venue with her. Still happy that my nephew and I got to come here today to enjoy our sweet treat. You can never beat the original.

It didn't have the vanilla flavor I was craving. My husband got the chocolate which I tried and it tasted much better. The mini size is plenty big by the way. My biggest issue was the parking here. Their parking lot has two spots, that's it! The only parking is on the street...kinda, because there were signs all over that said you had to have a permit, so my husband circled around the block while I got our ice cream. I told the gal at the counter about the parking situation, not that she could do anything about it, but she did say you can ignore the signs in the evening and park anywhere . I guess it's more enforced during work hours. If I lived in the north end I would come back and try their other flavors but I don't so it's probably a one and done for me. Definitely a try for those that live walking distance.

I don't know what they feed them cows in Idaho, but it should be standard for all cows across America! Their ice cream is soooo good! I appreciate anything chocolate and this one didn't disappoint! I got it with my favorite chocolate sprinkles on a waffle cone. It's as yummy as they come! (Note to Stella: If you had chocolate dipped waffle cones, I'd pay extra! :) ) We decided to eat in the store and the 5-year old in me came out! Sprinkles fell on the floor - sharing with friends maybe resulted in some ice cream on the floor (okay there was cream on the floor) and generally we made a trail of ice cream, crumbs and sprinkles from the aback to front of the restaurant.
