My family and I were hit with a serious late-night sweet tooth while visiting Nampa, and boy did this place deliver! From the moment we walked in, the service was quick and friendly, even for a busy evening. We indulged in a brownie sundae and a cookie sundae, and both were delicious. The ice cream was rich and creamy with a great assortment of flavors available, and the baked goods were fresh and perfectly complemented the sundaes. Everything was delicious and really hit that ice cream "need." We were also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were for the quality and portions. Was visiting from out of town and this is a cute little spot to get ice cream! It gives cute date whether going on a first date or with you spouse. The service here is incredibly friendly--they were patient to allow trying multiple flavors, they asked about my day and what my plans are for the weekend. They have a nice variety of flavors you can get in a cup, cone, waffle bowl, etc. They also have cookies and brownies and a variety of toppings. The workers weren't with any customers. We were looking at the products in the fridge and there were 2 girls next to us we thought were customers. Turns out later they were employees. One refilling product and the other was waiting for us to move. We purchased 2 pints and the cashier seemed nice and made small talk. The ice cream was ok. Kinda lacked on sweetness. Stella's has almost got it all down! This is a solid ice cream shop. If there is one flavor you try here, it's gotta be the blue moon. The child in me is obsessed with bright colored foods. This flavor is delicious! It's like eating creamy marshmallow, kind of like Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme. The quality of ice cream is fairly good for Boise. I can't say it's the best ever. It's good, but it's pricey for how it tastes. There are better speciality ice cream shops in the area. It's not bad by any means, but I am an ice cream snob, so I am super particular and critical of my ice cream. What makes Stella unique, however, it not their flavors, but the variety of baked goods that they make alongside their ice cream. If I am being completely honest, the baked goods are better than the ice cream! Combine them together and it's sweet tooth heaven! My favorite treat to date is a Donut Hump sandwich with Cookie Monster ice cream. Just check out how pretty it is! And it is HUGE!!! All in all, Stella's is a gem and I am excited to watch them become Boise's premier ice-cream destination. It's a fun place for both adults and children. After a long, hot day of ghost towns, rockhounding and dirt road that somehow briefly took us to Oregon, ice cream was definitely in order. We happened upon Stella's at the recommendation of other YELPers and we were not disappointed. I had a scoop of the All Nighter, a chocolate and coffee ice cream with cookie dough. It was wonderful! Not too much coffee flavor and just the right amount of cookie dough chunks. Kiddos had vanilla and chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone and waffle bowl. Judging from their happy faces, they were very pleased with their cold treats. Hubby had the mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone and he enjoyed it greatly. I just don't get this place. Ive brought my dog here a few times and the workers are ok with it. Yet other times- as in just now- I bring my dog in and you'll have the worker go straight bitxh-Karen mode and start yelling at you "No Dogs Allowed! Leave now!!..." and does it in front of the entire ice cream shop. Obviously there's mixed feelings on dogs here with no real centralized rule. We were in Nampa and wanted not-fast-food milkshakes and found Stella's on Yelp. I'd never heard of Stella's and was glad we tried it. This was midday during the week, so we were the only ones there. The girl behind the counter was very nice, very friendly, and answered all our questions about what does this taste like, and how does the pricing work, etc. I ordered a double scoop on a waffle cone of rocky road and Blue Moon. The Rocky Road looks dark, but doesn't taste dark, which is good. The Blue Moon was sort of a milky sweet berry taste with just a little tartness. Both flavors and the cone were really good. My husband had a salted caramel milkshake and liked it well enough, my son had a brownie sundae and said that the brownie was too hard, and my daughter had a double scoop with Strawberry and Cupcake and said that the Cupcake ice cream had too many sprinkles in it. Prices are a little on the high side, but that may just be the price of ice cream these days. And it was quality ice cream so it could also be one of those you get what you pay for sort of things. It was good. The parking situation is kind of odd. There are parking spots in front of the store, but there is only one you can drive to and then the others because they are up over a sidewalk curb I don't know how you are supposed to get to them? The girl also said they have another location in Eagle and one opening in Boise or Meridian this year. read more

We made Stella's Ice Cream a part of our Nampa Foodie experience on Friday night. We parked around the corner and walked in the snow due to limited parking and one way streets. It was a packed house with standing room only when we walked in. Very busy considering the storm that was going on outside. I love how clean and simple the space is! I ordered an ice cream taco for the experience. It comes with 2 scoops for $5 so I chose Mint Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Peanut butter. My daughter opted for a scoop of Momma Joy in a cone. When I picked up my taco for a photo opp it cracked in half as the waffle cone is on the thinner side. Aside from that it was rather yummy and easy to break up and eat with a spoon. My daughter enjoyed her ice cream but was not impressed by the amount of nuts it had. We will definitely be back to try more flavors in the future!
