This place caught my eye as i was driving down the main road. I made a mental note and didn't anticipate actually going back and getting some coffee. I love the atmosphere. I'd take something cozy over a Starbucks any day. The prices were a bit high, but worth it to me. I ordered the kona mocha which was pretty tasty. Though I'm not sure if there was actually coffee in it. That's either a good sign, or a bad one. Good because I couldn't taste the coffee or bad because it lacked it. Either way, a great place to check out. They have food and sweet snacks, which i did not try myself. My family and I passed through Roswell and really needing coffee. We're from Seattle so of course " coffee snobs". Well, the white mocha Americano s we ordered were excellent!!! The staff very friendly. We left on our way to Lubbock had been driving about an hour when I saw that I had a message on FB . Adele from Stellar Coffee letting me know I left my wallet in the bathroom and it was safe in their office. I asked if she could please send to me 2 day delivery. Without hesitation she said yes she could do that. I asked if I could Venmo her or to use cash from my wallet to cover cost. She said I'm not comfortable with that, I will use my own money. My wallet arrived in two days. Anne ,the owner of Stellar left a note with her phone number asking me to let her know when I received my wallet. I am SO grateful for people like this . Thank You so much Stellar coffee , My son passed away 11 months ago and I think he played a part in orchestrating this act of kindness to remind me to keep the faith and hope . I was looking for a coffee shop for my visit to Roswell. They have pleasantly strong coffee...I have tried a few coffee spots in New Mexico and most of them seemed weak and almost watery. This got me going and the coffee shop is so quirky with art and inviting. I loved my latte and prefer these small coffee shops in comparison to chains like Starbucks. Our favorite coffee shop anytime of day! ALWAYS! I order a medium pour over, amazing coffee. Smoothies and Italian sodas are awesome. They also have breakfast, wraps/sandwiches, and other snacks. I LOVE the hummus!! A lady hand makes these super tasty chocolate truffles that have a coffee bean on top. The environment is great, on the weekends they often have live music in the evening. This past week, I beamed in for some coffee that was out of this world. I had a bagel sandwich without the bagel at one visit, and I had at least 4 pour-- overs - outstanding and tried at least 2 of their on-tap brews; you cannot go wrong with way . I was pleased by the atmosphere, and moreover, the baristas were very friendly and talkative, and having been to hundreds of coffee shops, friendly is not always the case. If you drop in, have a date-nut bar before they run out and then as about their movie night. Generally, the "very cute place" had a convenient ATM and a nice variety of snacks and 100 or so teas (which I did not try but wish I had). I will add that this was the only one of its kind in the vicinity, so put it on your must-do list. read more

This was less than stellar. The girl said she was new that made our coffee. She mixed up the amount of shots that went in the drinks and she didn't add any flavoring. Normally the flavoring wouldn't be that big of deal, but she made the coffee extra strong with the extra shots that weren't suppose to be in my drinks. I love supporting local coffee shops over national chains. It's just sad about this experience. I felt the vibe was really cool, but the professionalism was not there. Even with the other workers that were sampling simple syrup right in front of me. Though I would recommend more training before letting someone work an espresso machine. read more

Be warned though, drinks like their chai and hot chocolate are made from powder, which had settled at the bottom of our drinks by the time we started drinking them. This place is on the strip making it the perfect walking distance from all of the alien sightseeing ! Also very close to other neat shops on the street. The area itself is quite hipster and has well used space. The table I wanted was by the fireplace but it was dirty and no one had sanitized it yet. It wasn't busy so I am sure I could have asked someone to do it for me. The pastries they offered werent too extensive so it does not make for a breakfast option. Passing through Roswell and needed coffee to start the day. We googled Starbucks and it had less than 2 stars, thanks but no thanks! So luckily the next place we saw was Stellar coffee which had 4 plus stars so we headed there. Great coffee! We had one of the specials, peppermint mocha, and it was amazing! Looked like a serious barista/artisan coffee shop. Got the one on the menu with 5 different espresso shots. Carefully asked whether it's espresso (and not pure over), with what milk etc. Even got talked into the big cup "to fit everything". Tipped generously, left store, drove away, took first sip: Yuck!! Sweet like the worst caffe crappio from McDonalds. I may say my fault that I did not explicitly ask for sugar (or Sirup or whatever junk was in there). But it would have never crossed my mind that in such a store a coffee would be by default Messed up with all this sugar. I expected an interesting combo of various coffee beans in a nice latte like composition. Instead I got a cup of garage that due to its sweetness was barely indistinguishable from a pour over from McDonalds. Seriously, even at Starbucks they ask if you want sugar. Absolute no-go for a barista. I was so upset having wasted 8$ read more

Not so stellar coffee. The beans were being stored in mason jars which terrified me first off. Second, my coffee tasted so burnt I had to drench it in sugar to forget how disgusting it was. Menu seems creative but even my hubs complained that his coffee was bad. Am I a coffee snob? Yes. Does this coffee meet my standards? Nope. Really, really wanted to have breakfast and coffee here, especially after such great reviews, but we walked in and there wasn't a single person wearing a mask. Both staff members had their masks hanging from one side of their face. One was behind the counter that way, and the other waked from the the front of the house to deliver something to a customer, to the behind the counter and starting prepping, still with the mask hanging from her face. This is a super cute coffee shop in the downtown area on Main Street. Be careful, though, or you might miss it. They have outdoor seating, which we were going to use because we had our dog with us (the motel wasn't ready yet so we couldn't drop her off). When we mentioned it to the staff, the cashier told us to bring the dog in as they are dog friendly! (Note that the UFO museum is also dog friendly). Although the exterior is bright yellow, the interior is super cute. The tin ceilings were a nice touch, and the actual seating goes way back into the building. It was just after New Years, so they had a Christmas tree up. There was also an electric "fireplace" like feature which was a nice touch. There were games at the front for those who want to hang out, drink coffee, and play board games with friends. My mom doesn't like coffee, so she ordered the hot chocolate and was very impressed. Not only did it taste good, she also said that it didn't scald her mouth like most of them do when she gets them at restaurants. Definitely recommend as a cool local coffee shop. read more

This coffee shop has a hometown feeling. I love their lavender latte, it is to die for. I have also had their breakfast croissants and their jalapeño bacon scones with a drizzle of honey!! It is a laid-back atmosphere ideal for getting together with your best friend and just laughing and enjoying the wonderful coffee. The people are very helpful and attentive. Passing thru on my way to the mountains with my dog and stopped by here for some breakfast and a coffee. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a Dark Side Coffee. 1. Staff was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful with the menu. 2. They are Dog Friendly inside and even offered my 4 legged companion some food which she thought was delicious as well. 3. Great spot downtown with a beautiful little patio you can sit and people watch while you eat your breakfast and drink your coffee. First off I should say I am a self proclaimed coffee snob/geek. Was really excited to come across Stellar coffee well visiting Roswell. They work with a roster out of Texas (forgot the name), I had a cappuccino well I was there. The milk was fomed well and they did the cap a little dryer then I would have liked. The drink to me tasted a bit watered down. Maybe too much milk? I did by some of their coffee beans to drink coffee at the house I was staying in and selected the Rawanda. That has been a delightful cup of coffee that I make in an eropress They have a really nice warm welcoming space and decore. The Baristas were both very friendly. For a small town like Roswell to have a cool little shop like Steller was a welcome surprise and I definitely would recommend them over the other choices in town which only seems to be StarBucks. They also have food and other things to eat. I did have a blueberry muffin that was really delish. read more
