Started out great but had a majority of the screens come out of the frames when it was windy. I would put them back in and would come out again. His son came out to fix them but they still would come out of the frames. Then they said they would fix them correctly with the correct spline but now Carl and his lifetime warranty promise refuses to fix them correctly. Complete waste of time! I began with a quote from this company back in June 2020. All started off well when CJ came to give me the initial quote. When I contacted them to let them know I wanted to go ahead they suddenly were going out of town and would contact me when they had returned. (1wk) over a month went by and no word from anyone. I then contacted the company and spoke with the owner Carl Coates who then told me they would get the project started and it would take 10 days max. At this point we were at the beginning of September. 4 months later! Today September 30, I contacted Carl where he then told me he had installed my screens on Saturday the 26th of this last week ....umm NO, I still don't have sunscreens. At this point I was told that CJ had dropped the ball LOL. Yeah that ball has been dropped and continues to bounce as I DO NOT have sunscreens!!! Naturally, formally canceled my order. What a joke and the excuses.... I'm so tempted to post screenshots of our text conversation. Do yourself a favor, don't waste your time with these guys! Carl was great. Arrived to the measuring appointment on time. Screened my entire house for a really good price. Told me 7 to 10 days and delivered in 5. He was informative and responded quickly to my questions via phone and text. A couple screens didn't fit and he made new ones and installed same day. Carl was the one decent person I found while looking for suncreen repair. The others were wildly overpriced and/or lied about what screen material they would use. Carl uses the best stuff Textilene 90 and was priced well below the market. The big picture is that this business (Sunscreens) is seen by many as a license to steal. Carl who I believe is the owner came to my home to do an estimate. He did not have a mask. I found out he was one of the owners when I attempted to make a complaint and he was the one who answered the phone. He proceeded to argue his and his (and he claimed) RN wife's masking beliefs. I ask if it wasn't simply a professional courtesy to respect the customer's preference and he started another dialog of his personal beliefs. In summary, If he chooses not to consider the preferences of the customer in masking, I wonder what other areas of services might the customer's preferences not matter. Since he owns the company he can choose to manage the business how he chooses. I can choose not to use the company and to share my experience so potential customers know what to expect. So both our rights can be preserved although we are far apart on the issue of masking and customer service. read more

I have house with a western facing wall with extreme solar gain. I have trees planted on the Western edge of the property, but it's going to be a few years before they offer any real shade. In the meantime I have watched my electricity bill increase year over year with no additional occupants in the house. I figured I'd give the shade screens a try as I needed to do something to make the house more comfortable. I called 5 contractors and got a significant range of costs for the screens. I called Carl and another contractor back to ask a few additional questions regarding materials, project turnaround, etc. I soon found out why the other contract was lower than Carl's bid; there was no warranty, the installation was going to cost additional on certain windows, and the anchor points were going to be set into the exterior stucco. The only thing the other contractor had going for him was that his turnaround time was better than Carl's. Needless to say, waiting a few extra days for shade screens was not a big deal as I had gone over 3 years without them anyways. I called Carl's up to set up an appointment for final measuring and cost calculation. When Carl came over he was polite, well spoken, and most important of all, clean and organized. He informed me that since I was getting over 25 windows covered that he would have his build team put in a few extra hours and knock out my screens. I was impressed when the screens were ready to be installed 3 days later. I was not home at the time of installation, however, I was amazed at the difference in temperature in the rooms on the western side of my house. The screens looked great. Carl called me to tell me that one of the wheels on the patio slider had been damaged during transport. He was very apologetic and told me that the screen would be fixed and installed the next day... and it was. Overall I am very pleased with Carl's final product and his communication. I would definitely use All Pro Sunscreens in the future. I have also given Carl's info out to a few friends and neighbors who were interested in having shade screens installed as well. read more

This company is amazing, great looking and great quality screens (we had screens on our old house and these are much better). Carl the owner came out and took all the measurements and said it would be 3-5 days before they would be completed and installed (very reasonable IMO), well 2 days later he called and said they were finished and ready to be installed. Carl came out that same day and installed them, there was a window that was short a screen (can't blame him we have 45 windows) he said he would get it built and installed for free and had it done the next morning. We got a few quotes and he was by far the cheapest. Would definitely recommend All Pro Sunscreens and Carl. Thank you. read more

Measured and installed new screens on my home. One screen was the wrong size, seems like more than one to me but they fit well enough you couldn't tell, so the installer took measurements and told me the new one would be done "early next week" as this was on a Saturday. Come Tuesday afternoon I hadn't heard from them so I called Carl, the only contact I have and owner, and left another message today Wednesday afternoon. The screens look okay but there is one missing and I can't get this company to respond to me for that last one. Beware of surprise charges, though minor it is still silly that the installer wanted me to pay him a $10.00 disposal fee. After having to go through the yard (and driveway!) to clean up all the old screws they removed they also want me to pay them more money to toss the old screens out? You would think that the $1100 for the screens would have been enough for them to remove the old ones too or at least tell me of the charge upfront. Edit: So I got a call back on Thursday morning where I was told the delay was due to Carl being out of town, in other words poor planning. The final screen installed on Friday afternoon, so much for early next week time frame the installer told me originally. The installer had all his stuff packed up ready to leave but the screens weren't even level. I had to get him to even up the two screens, the new one and the one he installed on Saturday. Had I not been outside he would have left them with one of them about an inch below the other. Altogether it was an okay experience, communication issues are a big deal to me, hence the 2 stars. The price was a tad below average, we got quotes from 7 places and the lowest was less than 7% lower but the reviews here were sketchy, and the turn around was fast if you exclude the last screen. IMPORTANT: If you are going to get a quote from All Pro Sun Screens make sure you mention they need to dispose of the old screens, they left them in a pile out back for me to deal with. read more

I would suggest you pass on this company. We had our screens done with them and they cut corners by reusing our old screen and acted like he is giving a discount on it. Had I known I would have paid the extra $40 and got a new one. Our back door screen was not in great shape and now it doesn t work properly but does have a matching screen on it. I have reported the company to the BBB and he doesn t want to resolve it so I have told all my family and friends keep looking for another company they may have a lower price but remember the saying you get what you pay for and we are getting what we paid for. read more

Do not use this company. Met with Carl, the owner, about replacing all our screens, including new frames, security door screen and sliding door. We showed him the exact material we wanted to use, and he swore they use the exact same thing. Had everything installed yesterday, and clearly they did not use the same screen material. We knew we wanted "bug" screen, but we wanted a high quality screen with visibility, and showed him what we had used previously. He insisted that he used what we had, and that he's been in the business for 20 years and there's only one kind of bug screen. Really? Do a Google search, Carl. Not the same screen we had. Additionally, the installers put all the screens on backwards. Carl insists that's how screens are installed now - with the rubber groove showing on the outside. Really? Then how come all the photos in your Yelp site show the screens on the proper way, with the seams on the inside? He tried to tell me that it was a personal preference on our part, and not a mistake on the installers' part. Oh, and one screen wasn't measured correctly so the frame doesn't entirely cover the window; the two corners don't meet. Terrible work, and no accountability from the owner. We reinstalled all the screens ourselves the proper way. Oh yeah, his company also goes by another name - All Pro Suncreens, so beware of both companies. His way of dealing with it was to say, "I'm sorry you're disappointed." I'm sure he'll still cash my check. Please go somewhere else. read more

Lack of professionalism was my overall experience. My initial encounter with the installer was good. He was prompt and measured the area then gave me a quote. We scheduled the install exactly a week later. On the day of the install i was waiting for him to show, but no one showed. I called the company phone and spoke with Carl the owner, who said " the installer does not make the schedules for installs" I don't know what he did " ,( Yet no one else every called me to set up the appointment.) . I then found the appointment time on the paperwork. Carl said to just leave the check under the door mat and we will get it done today." ( in an abrasive tone.) I left the check while i proceeded to go to work. Once, I arrived back home excited to see my new Sunscreens . I found the screens were never installed and no one every called me to inform me of any problems or a reason for the install not completed, I called the office in regards to what happened? I explained that I was not used to a business that did not call back to remind the customer a day prior to their scheduled install nor a company being a NO call No show and I had concerns of future installs.
