Called to request a quote for shutters and blinds after moving into a new house. Received a home visit from Victor with measurements and discussion of products. Waiting 1 week for bid but never received. called 3 times and finally received bid for wrong products. Called office and received new bid but when i inquired about 25% off coupon was told was built into bid. When asked for original undiscounted bid was told was not available. When I asked to speak to office manager was told only a trainee was available. They got my shutters ordered on November 26 and installed on December 20. They did a great job and the house looks soooo much better. Our first warning sign should have been the unprofessional look of their showroom. Orders were stacked on top of one another, throughout the entire space, Making it difficult to walk around to view displays. Sounds like the perfect slip and fall case (safety issue). We had to walk through the war zone of stacked boxes towards the back where two women oblivious to us entering sat. Kat one of these women came to greet us, friendly enough, yet very scattered, all over the place. She wrote our contact information down to set up a consultation on a jumbled note pad with tons of writings and crammed our information on it with a green magic marker ?!?! Once the salesman Victor came out to our home we informed how unsettling and unprofessional their showroom was and how Kat was a bit unsettling and just all over the place. He apologized and said would address with staff, and there needs to be more awareness and training on their part for the staff in the showroom. Our first order went through with no issues, so we figured when we ordered two more shutters it shouldn't be a big deal right ? The second order was a complete mess and is what has brought me here to write this negative review. We were told that order would take about two weeks and they would call. When the two weeks came and I went I called the office to get an update. This time I spoke to Jill who had trouble finding any update on our order. She put me on hold for several minutes and said she sees our order but doesn't show anything else. She told she would reach out to Victor our salesman and her get back to us immediately. He never did. The next day I had to call back again left a voice message. I waited a day later to call again this time I got Kat, frazzled and unaware she said she didn't know what was going on and I should contact Victor . I explained to her what I had already done. She apologized over and over and said she would notify Victor to call me back. (Which he never did ). The following day I finally caught Victor live on the phone. At this point I was getting perturbed at the lack of communication which I sternly informed him. He apologized and said "my bad" he informed me at this point our order had been damaged upon delivery and was sent back as a reorder with an expedited return. Then back tracked saying can't guarantee the expedited return but would work on it and would be a priority. I informed him that I have been in contact with the showroom staff and they were unaware of any such damage or delay. Furthermore, they were unaware of where our product was. When I pressed he really didn't have an answer, just kept repeating the staff at the showroom are not properly trained and need further training on how to handle situations like this. He apologized and said that he would handle it. He said he'd call me back at the end of the week with an update. I waited the week and heard nothing back from Victor. At this point it's evident this company has no clue what's going on. It's now week four and again I have to call again for an update. This time around it's Jill who informs me that item should be delivered within the next two weeks but can't guarantee it. I explained to her my frustrations and how no one has kept me in the loop. She now starts putting the blame on Victor how he should have been updating me all along and it's his fault etc. I replied back how unprofessional this entire conversation was. Both sides are trying to put the blame on the other. As a customer I don't want to hear or know about this. Figure it out behind the scenes! I told her directly how unprofessional and inept this team was. She again apologized and promised to be better and would inform and educate Victor that he had not called me back with update as promised. At this point it's just air coming out of their mouths. There is no accountability at this business! As the weeks went on I had to make several more calls. During each time I got the run around, more excuses and was told different dates and updates by the two staff members at the showroom. Not once did any of these three team members take ownership and try to make this right, to be clear, concise or through communication. Nothing ! Seven weeks later, we still don't have these two blinds!! We contacted Victor to inform him we were done and cancel the order due to their ineptitude and poor communication skills. It isn't that there were delays, I understand things happen and we don't live in a perfect world. Of course I was disappointed. The fact that Superior Blinds continually disregarded our concerns and repeated requests for transparency and an open line of communication. Superior Blinds failed us time and time again. Major restructuring, training and ownership needs to occur for this business for it truly to succeed. I have lost faith in this company. I spoke too soon. Superior blinds connected me with a hunter Douglas rep who insisted they would be the point person for me moving forward with my shutters. They gave me their card and over the last few years anytime one of my shutters would break they would come out and fix it free of charge. However that representative no longer works for Hunter Douglas and trying to get these blinds which have broken since the very moment they were installed, has been a nightmare. I am in contact with another interior designer in town and I hope that they can fix my issues. These shutters were a waste of thousands and thousands of dollars. read more

The sun beamed into our kitchen from the large arched windows. Southern exposure, though with the mid-day sun, who would know. Fair to say, it was bright. I sat with my laptop perched on the dining table trying to view the screen through the glare of the reflected light. Unable to do so, I retreated to a dark corner of my new house to get some work done. I messaged my wife, asking when the blinds we'd ordered over a month ago will be installed. "I don't know," she responded, frustratedly explaining that she's followed up several times with Superior Blinds and not heard back. As reliably as the sun rising and setting each day, we rehearsed this play at least once a week for more than a month. Finally, we reached a supervisor with Superior Blinds, who told us the blinds have not even been ordered, contrary to what we were led to believe. We were told that the 25% discount coupon sent to us when we moved into our new home was already factored into the quote, even though it clearly was not (the "discounted" price supposedly is a round $550.00 per blind while the undiscounted price is $733.33 per blind - yeah right). Nor is a discount indicated on the invoice. Superior Blinds offered no reasonable explanation. The sun still rises every morning and sets every evening, and in the middle it beams unbearably through our naked windows. I can work at home, but only away from those bare windows, fighting with my dog for a prime seat on the couch. We are exposed to the gazes of passersby on the street and nighttime headlights. And just as we started this process with Superior Blinds in the Summer, a new season is upon us. Autumn's arrival brings with it an opportunity to work with a company in the Valley of the Sun that is reputable and reliable. Had blinds installed in December 2019. Installation was very fast and all the work was on time. One of the blinds broke in June 2020. Company appears to be out of business as they are not returning phone calls or emails. We originally bought the window treatments for our house when we moved in July 2018. Unfortunately, some of the windows we noticed the color recommended was too light, so it was a disappointment but we figured we paid for it so that's that. When we decided to add more shutters to the staircase we mentioned this to Oscar who offered to let us use the credit of those specific window treatments that we didn't like to apply to new shutters. Which we did and they took the window treatments back we didn't like. We are now very pleased with how everything looks in the house. Only waiting for a replacement shutter for one of the windows as the one they brought was damaged. They were very apologetic about that, it happens no biggie. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is the lack of communication. When we met Oscar in May we liked him and were so happy with his communication as he told us three weeks and then they would be here. Then three weeks passed and we called but couldn't get any answers as to when the install was and they couldn't find our order information. I guess he was out of town for a few months? When he got back, we got a call that the shutters would be installed on the 9 of July. Just those two months of waiting with no follow up was a bit disappointing. On 4/13/21, we had two exterior motorized shades installed in our patio. We selected Superior Blinds based on their product warranty presented during the sales process. Their product warranty was very complete and appeared to address all issues. Shortly after installation, we experienced wrinkling of the fabric along the track edges. Although Superior tried a couple of times to resolve wrinkling of fabric, nothing improved. Finally, we were informed by Superior that their shade vendor, SW Sun Control of Tucson, would do nothing regarding the wrinkling. Their assessment was made based on photo's Superior's owner sent from his phone. After paying almost six thousand dollars for the shades, we were left with a very inferior product that has left us with buyer's remorse from the dealing with Superior Blinds. read more

Communication and quality of shutters is very poor. I do not recommend anyone wasting there time with this company. There are other blinds companies that can do the job way better. Unfortunately we waited months for our shutters to come in and once they did the quality was awful. There were paint stains globbed on the shutters, the color of the paint was wrong, the hardware on the shutters was the wrong. Oscar promised us he would make it right and give us a discount, well when the new shutters (another month later) came in they were definitely better but not great. We left a message for the owner to call us as they just took the full amount out of our credit card without our authorization, and no discount as promised. We disputed the charge with the credit card company and one month later we finally hear from Melinda (not the owner) she calls us saying she is going to take us to court if we don't reverse the credit card charge. Granted we already paid half months ago. Anyways, they treat there customers like garbage and have zero communication. Save your time and money and go with another company. read more

We recently purchased a brand new home and got about half the windows covered with blinds by the builder before moving in. We quickly realized we should have probably gotten all of our windows covered so I called up our builder to see if we could get the remaining windows done. They were going to charge us about 4 times as much as when they originally installed so I figured I could find someone to do a pretty close match for a fraction of the cost. We received an ad in our mailbox for Superior Blinds so I thought I may as well get a free estimate to see how much it would cost and how closely they could match our existing blinds. Deborah at the office was very nice and professional and quickly contacted me to set up my estimate appointment. Oscar was also very nice and professional and said they could match the exact same brand/color. They ordered the blinds and set up my installation appointment conveniently on Veteran's Day. The installer was there for only 20 min and the new blinds look great. Not only was the customer service great, but they ordered and installed my new blinds for even less than I had originally paid through my builder. Such a great experience. read more

Oscar came out on October 7 to do my quote for vertical blinds on my sliding glass door. The following week I call to let him know that I was interested in moving forward to have them installed. He told me he would call me back in 10 minutes and I have not heard from him in over two days. I called his number back several times and I got no return call. When I called the company number rather than his own personal line I was told that he was the owner of the company and he would have to be the one to handle the installation for me since he had all the paperwork.
