valentine's day - champagne

This little local restaurant is always pumping out some of the most delish and creative dishes! We have tried everything on the menu & cannot complain about one! Their recent start of boiled seafood is perfection with just the right amount of spice! It's worth the travel & you won't be disappointed!

Sunday Brunch was delicious! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff... I had the vegetable frittata, which was so yummy. What a perfect spot for good food and drink, and for gathering with family!

The food is pretty good if you don't mind waiting for it. Salads delivered over an hour after seating, and the entrees over 2 hours.

It's rare to step into a restaurant before the doors open, an almost behind-the-scenes experience…read more You get to see what makes people tick and who they really are. In the restaurant business, we all have a switch: once the doors open, it flips. Until then, you're seeing people exactly as they are. This team is genuine. Hands down. Yes, I know, I'm technically here for a king cake. Standing in line for a king cake from a famous fried chicken company almost feels satirical. But watching the entire team sit down together for a meal an hour before service told me everything I needed to know about the leadership and the values of this company. People matter here. You can see why the sandwiches are as good as they are. You can feel why the king cake is worth the wait. This team operates like a family; kind to one another, intentional, and connected. The food is made with care because the people are cared for. I'm not here to review the food (which is phenomenal) or the king cake. I'm here to review the brand. This is the kind of business we should be proud to support as a community. Keep it up.

I thought Southern's was pretty good overall. The menu offers some unique options, including…read morecreative chicken sandwiches and a few Asian-inspired fusion dishes that go beyond traditional Southern cuisine. I also like that they feature a daily special that isn't on the regular menu--it adds a nice element of variety. Everything is cooked to order, which is definitely a plus. Just keep in mind that most of the menu is fried, so this isn't the place to go if you're looking for a particularly healthy meal.

I had really been looking forward to trying Parrain's Seafood, but unfortunately my experience was…read moredisappointing. Our waitress, Kate M., didn't have the best customer service. She came across as short, unfriendly, and overall not very pleasant. I first ordered a Banana Foster's Martini, but she came back and said they didn't have the ingredients. No problem--I asked for an Espresso Martini instead. A few minutes later, after bringing everyone else's drinks, she returned and simply said they couldn't make that either and asked if I wanted something else. At that point, I just declined. When it was time to order, our table had nine people. She took my husband's order, then went around the table taking everyone else's order. By the time she got back to me, she said, "Okay, is that it?" I had to remind her that she hadn't taken my order yet. I ordered the crab and corn bisque, a salad, and the stuffed catfish with creamed spinach. The salad came out quickly and was very good. Then everyone else at the table received their meals while I only received my bisque. After waiting, I was told my stuffed catfish "didn't come out right" and had to be remade. At that point, I honestly wondered if it was a joke. It wasn't. By the time my entrée arrived, everyone else was nearly finished eating. To the restaurant's credit, they did remove the stuffed catfish from my bill, and I appreciated that. However, the entire experience left me feeling overlooked from start to finish. My biggest suggestion would be for our waitress to work on her customer service. A smile goes a long way. Saying things like "Give me that plate," slamming cups onto the table, and appearing annoyed throughout the meal doesn't create a welcoming dining experience. Hospitality is just as important as the food, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively.

Our waiter was attentive and very informative about everything on the menu! Everything we ate, was well cooked and delicious! Our drinks had the perfect amount of alcohol and drink mixture and tasted very fresh! The bathroom was very clean and cute. It was a great spot for a date night, although a little loud! It's one of my all-time favorite spots, so I couldn't wait to share the experience with her--and she absolutely LOVED it. Our server, Joe, was outstanding--knowledgeable, attentive, and a true pro when it came to walking us through the menu and drinks. We kicked things off with cocktails (the Salt & Pepper Tomato Martini and a Dirty Martini) and appetizers: the grillade kabobs plus the crawfish & andouille rangoons. Every single bite was fabulous. For entrées, we had the corn husk-steamed Gulf fish and the crab aglio e olio, paired with the summer squash gratin on the side. And to top it all off, dessert was nothing short of perfection: bread pudding waffles with ice cream. Cinclare never disappoints--it's always a 10/10 experience, and this visit was no exception.
