I hear a lot of bad things about this place but always remember that one good meal and experience…read morethat I had years and years ago. When I found myself in the area again this week, I decided to give it a shot and relive that experience. What a change. Guess they were right. I remember a delicious crawfish étouffée that I had when I went the first time which is no longer on the menu. It's mostly just fried food and hamburgers. I ordered the overstuffed shrimp Poboy that the woman said was the most popular item on the menu. It was overstuffed all right, but the shrimp were hard as rubber and tasted like they had been cooked in week old oil. It was an hour before closing so maybe that was it but that is not an excuse. I'll still think about that delicious crawfish étouffée that I had years and years ago, and try my hardest to forget this terrible meal. The Poboy itself was around $15 and the fries were two dollars extra. To their credit, they were crinkly fries, which are always my favorite and they were delicious. I wish I would've never went back and kept my memories, but I did. Perhaps I'll give it another shot one day. I hear the gumbo is good, which was the special of the day, but it was too hot for that all the day I went. Lots of interesting things inside, it looks like a roadside attraction almost. I can't understand why there's not more restaurants in this area as they are several plantations that people most likely go to visit and would likely decide to have lunch somewhere. Almost anything would blow this one out the water. I still dig the ambience. The alligator dressed in a chef suit, the interesting painting on the bathroom wall, the old country/Cajun feel but aside from that, what happened, B & C Seafood?

Good seafood gumbo, but barley got any. Lol. Well, was it all on the bottom you ask? Well, i search…read moren search but found very little. Lol. Didn't have time so I got it to go but maybe should have dine in. Cool place. Everything else was pretty good. Got some 5.99 ziplock bag head-on shrimp to go as well as some frozen crawfish gumbo. N 2.99 pork rinds which tasted old. Cool folks here. Would dine in next time for other foods.

Food is good, but it's a buffet so never sure how to tip. What percentage do you tip for ringing…read moreyou up?

When you give a menu to the customer, they expect you will not be out of anything unless you say…read moresomething. It's inconsiderate to wait until the person orders to tell them they are out of something. Think about if you were in a large party like 10-20 people and you were the last person to order but the server waited until you ordered it to tell you they were out. Would you like to have to rush to make a decision or delay your entire party? It's just about treating people like human beings that you CARE about their time. It also hurts the waitress and restaurant since the customer is taking more time to order. Longer the stay, less customers can get seated next, less tips, less sales possibly. With my sandwich situation, she knew it had something all over it wrong so she should have NEVER asked me if it was ok with me. I never served like that. My first job I was counter help at Butter Krisp Diner in Covington, LA I worked for back in my early 20's(now 46). If the food looked wrong I sure didn't still try to serve it. I had and still have a heart not to do that to anybody unlike Josie. I'm not sure why she would think I'd accept a major error? I actually CARED about my customers. I made mistakes there, but I sure didn't intentionally give someone something that I knew was incorrect. That's just cruel. Why would I risk my customer being mad at me even if it was just drive-thru that 99% of the time didn't tip that I didn't want to get them mad at me. I cared about another human being's feelings and time. As far as the owner, he's ridiculous to ask me "Do you know how tartar sauce is made?" I told him "capers." That's when he said that tartar sauce is 70% mayo. The thing is I wanted tangy sauce(the tartar sauce) ONLY on my sandwich is how I enjoy the taste. He just wanted to not remake the sandwich. Cause why else would he say these things to me?? The other manager should mind her own business about that my husband didn't eat. He was going to, but they were out of what he wanted. It's not rude to take your significant other out to eat even when you don't want to eat. You act like you had a full house when the place had 85% of the seats still available. He ordered a soft drink so he ordered SOMETHING! For some reason you don't count that. There was nothing wrong with my husband by me just cause he ended up not ordering any food. It's not "rude" to decide he didn't want anything since he couldn't get what he originally ordered. What does it matter if he ordered food or not? He ordered an item that still cost money. I can't believe you are on the owner's side about the tartar sauce/mayo 70% issue. Those 2 condiments taste NOTHING alike! It still hurts that all 3 of you are just so uncaring and mean. Why can't I get an apology from the owner and manager? Why don't you all teach your servers to write orders down along with making it a rule to greet with info about what they are out of? Why not try to improve???

Went by after church for Sunday Brunch, they had a band playing. It was pretty cool. They were busy…read moreand took a bit to get seated. Server was great and apologetic for the wait time. Here's what we ordered and thought he about it: Appetizer - French toast - toddler loved it but not size not worth the price - Meat pies- 4 tiny meat pies, flavor ok but not worth the price -duck quesadilla - I knew it was questionable with paired with jack cheese but I wanted to give it a try. It was a soggy greasy mess. But th sauce was good. Entrees - Chicken and waffles - decent flavor nothing fancy just decent - Kids Seafood crepe - the sauce was great, try crepes were a bit different but good the only thing missing was THE SEAFOOD. Yep, probably had two shrimp the whole crepe and they were cut in half. - Kida chicken tenders - waaaay too hard for kids to eat. The chicken tasted like charred burnt chicken. Like the third maybe 2nd batch of chicken in hot grease that cooks too fast on the outside so it is much darker, harder, and burned than the first batch. I asked for something else because after trying a piece of thr crust, I knew the kids couldn't eat that. The chef refused to take it back or replace INSTEAD he gave extra...like seriously if I feel they couldn't eat the first WHY I WOULD I WANT MORE. Overall, likely not to return. I saw two other tables call server over with issue. One of the deconstructed seafood pivot. Expensive and a waste of money. It was 3 towers of French bread with shrimp in a cream sauce. I saw the waitress tell the guy that it was filled with shrimp in the middle. Well, he opened his up and it was nothing but dry bread. He was visibly pissed. I'm glad I didn't order the full entree seafood crepes but I would have been upset with the amount of seafood which was shrimp only in it.
