We had a coupon to come try out this place! It started out rough with rude host at the hostess stand. We ended up sitting at the bar so we didn't have to wait which was fine. We did have a couple drinks and I'll say they're definitely light on the pour and it's not worth the money. The bread and butter is really really good. I got the chicken Alfredo and really liked it. It's a sweeter Alfredo, different from anything I've had before. Again the portion for the price just isn't matching. I will say everything is homemade and the taste reflects. Had a wonderful dinner here. Service was exceptional, Madison was awesome and helped get me the Big Red Spicy Walleye for my birthday dinner even though it is on the lunch menu. And to say it was good is an understatement, it exceeded my expectations and was awesome! They have officially ruined Nashville Hot Chicken for me If it doesn't have walleye on it I don't want it now. Was awesome that the chefs were able to do this with the help of Madison. And we made sure to tell the manager Shelby (owners daughter) how wonderful a night we had and she was genuinely pleased to hear. Can't wait to go back and try some other things on the menu! I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered. I Ordered the Tuscan chicken as did my daughter. So disappointed Bland , absolutely no flavor. The pasta was cooked well, the chicken. Was ok. Just no. Flavor to the dish. The Brussel sprouts were excellent and the French onion soup as ok. Our waitress was very nice but thee"service was marginal at best. We had been to Stella's probably 5 yrs ago. They were out of everything that night, and it was a very average meal. Our kids wanted to try it and ask us to join them. We were hoping for a wonderful meal this time. What an amazing find! We were in Toledo to check out a few breweries in the area but there was a street fair going on with tons of markets etc. Because of this parking was scarce and we had to park pretty far down the road. When we got out of the car my eye caught this place, and I knew I wanted a signature cocktail. So we came inside and found a seat at the bar. The bartenders were absolutely amazing! Full of pep and clearly loved their jobs. They helped us choose cocktails. I selected a pear martini that was smooth and delicious. Full of flavor. But the best was the pineapple mojito that he got. It was absolutely one of the most refreshing drinks I have ever had. We did not get the food but the regulars at the bar raved about their food. This was a classy place with a touch of sas. In the hundreds of restaurants I have visited in my life, I have never heard of being charged for extra blue cheese stuffed olives for my dirty martini. $4 for FOUR OLIVES. Second, I paid $40 for a medium filet mignon that was well done. I was not so much as asked if everything was ok, NOTHING. Visited Stellas on a Monday night for dinner while on a business trip. Not very busy, good service, and good food. I started with the lamb chops ($11), three small frenched chops on a bed of wilted arugula. Decent flavor, nicely cooked to a medium well, and I loved the rosemary but they needed salt. Also had the grilled walleye ($21) with a baked potato and a side salad. The walleye was a tiny bit overcooked, and also underseasoned, even though I asked for it blackened. The creamy balsamic vinaigrette on the salad was actually the star of the meal. Tangy, bright, and a tiny kick from the peppercorns. I finished off the meal with the salted caramel gelato ($6) which had a bit too dark of a flavor. I love salted caramel as much as the next person, but there's a point where it gets almost burnt tasting. The location was great for a Monday night, but I imagine that street gets pretty busy on the weekend. Very idyllic storefront, matched the cute main street there. read more

Came in last night (Thursday) for a birthday dinner with my boyfriend. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel so we gave it a shot . The atmosphere was inviting, the live music was an absolute bonus and the out door seating area was beautiful. To start we had a Palermo from the bar. Just the right amounts of sweet and tang (grapefruit juice) The food was met with a mixed review. The raspberry ranch on the salad was amazing. The risotto was perfection. Our steaks however ... my medium rare steak was perfect inside just missing some seasoning, even with the mushrooms and Parmesan butter it was just a touch bland (salt and pepper fixed it right up) My boyfriends medium well steak however matches the internal color of mine. When he asked the hostess for steak sauce we were told they don't carry any... odd so she brought him bbq sauce. Our server checking in told us yes they do have steak sauce and brought it to us. All in all the service we received, the ambiance and the bar all made up for that small steak issue. Will certainly come again once we are back in the area read more

We have returned to this restaurant a few times and came to the realization that it is perfect for drinks with friends and appetizers only. I tried the dinners and they just lack flavor. For some reason someone seems to love curry here. The entrees we had, were laced with hints of curry. No salt and pepper. Sometimes simple seasonings and proper cooking methods are better. The brazed short ribs were good however were ruinind by the risotto which was seasoned with curry. The flavors beat each other up. The chicken scarpariello was crazy. WAY TOO MANY FLAVORS FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER FOR ATTENTION. The chicken could have been amazing by itself. I don't mean to be a jerk about this but flavor combinations are mean to compliment each other, not knock you off your chair. Visiting Toledo for the Solheim Cup. Found this quaint little place as we walked. Very welcoming. 20 minute wait for a table so we sat at the bar. The bartender was excellent. The fresh flowers sitting on the bar added to the ambience of Stellas. I ordered the walleye dinner. My friend ordered the salmon. Generous portion of walleye fried but not oily. Her salmon was under cooked. Small sides. But that's to be expected these days I guess. No bread was served. We receive a protein plus a small carbohydrate. Crystal was my server, and she was great. Ordered a fun solar-eclipse themed cocktail that was delicious. I ordered the salmon medium well. No judgment please. It's a texture thing. This was my first and last visit as Stella's. We were served MOLDY pita bread with the goat cheese dip. (We also ordered a pizza and 1 drink each, which is 2 drinks total.) When we brought the mold to the attention of our waitress, she immediately removed the plate from the table and took it to the kitchen (but not before I took a picture.) When she came back she said it was charcoal singe. First, the bread was not toasted. Second, I am a molecular biologist and know mold when I see it. I asked for the meal to be comped and she said she would have to talk to the owner, Patrick. We agreed and Patrick came out and immediately said it was not mold. I told him yes it was - then he put a hand in my face to signal to stop talking and said the goat cheese dip would be removed from the bill. I asked for the bill to be comped and he said "not going to happen" - when I began to speak again he slammed his hands on the table and said "you're paying for your drinks" and then ran back inside. Clearly this man cannot regulate his nervous system or handle a conversation where his establishment is at fault. When the waitress came back she said he was the owner so there was nothing she could do. She brought the check and WE GOT CHARGED FOR THE OTHER FOOD ITEM even though the owner clearly stated we would only pay for our drinks in his fit of rage, which already felt like a non-compromise. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she talked to the owner again who told her to keep our pizza on the tab. So not only did he gaslight us about the mold, he also didn't even keep his word about only paying for the drinks. The only thing he comped was the moldy dish - which we had only ate a few pita pieces before we noticed the mold anyways. This was such a terrible experience because the mold could put us at a health risk if we accidentally consumed it before we noticed. But also the level of disrespect from the owner who has very clear anger issues was disgusting. No wonder they are hiring all positions, I bet it's terrible working for him if he treats paying customers in such a manner. Avoid this nasty restaurant. read more

To start, the server couldn't get the orders straight and told us they were known for their steaks - thus leading half of the party to get steaks, which were not very good. We were a large party and started with many appetizers. The calamari only tasted of oil, so did the chips in the pub chips. The charcuterie board was very average and lacked a variety of cheese. I was told the arancini were ok, and the Brussell sprouts were good. I ordered the NY Strip and it lacked any flavor. Overall not a very good experience, but I am not from the area and unfamiliar with local restaurants to compare. read more
