I walk in mostly for the great array of gifts spanning from geeky cookbooks and plushies to cute, niche purses and crafting kits. There's some adorable gift wrap and greeting cards, too. I'm not so much of an artist, but do need things framed from time to time. The framing department at Reddi-Arts is one of the best kept secrets in Jacksonville. I've gotten some wonderful pieces framed by them over the years as gifts and for personal items of my own. The folks there are wonderful to work with and there are plenty of options for frames to choose from at affordable prices.

But that browsing came after my visit to the framing department, to which I brought a certificate for framing. The service was excellent, the framer explained all the numerous frame, glass, backing, and other options with details on pricing. There were a ton of choices, I doubt you'd be unable to find something to go with whatever you're getting framed. The price was excellent too, though I came at a time when they were running a 20% discount. But I was heartened to know that you get discounts in the future just by becoming a customer of theirs. Great store, I will be back in the future the next time I need to get something framed. And I hope my daughter will have hours of fun getting craft supplies here in the future.

Easels, canvas, excellent pens, framing, brushes, sketchbooks, etc. I was paying 10x more buying paint brushes from Amazon, Michael's, etc. They have the largest inventory of paint and brushes I have ever seen. And I love picking individual brushes. The materials I have purchased are all good quality. The store is bright and very clean, the displays are nice. The staff all appear to be artistic and have a good knowledge of the inventory.

When I picked up my framing it was like WOW. It far exceeded my expectations. And as far as price go the price was great. It may seem expensive but for the work and quality, it was worth every penny. I got some estimates from some Nationwide stores that do framing, and even with their 50 percent coupon it's was still a lot more expensive then Affordable Framing. This is not a heavily reviewed category on Yelp so I briefly read the reviews and picked Chao. Easy to find on 3rd St at the beach. It's in the same plaza as Metro Diner but at the other end. We popped in on a Saturday and were promptly greeted and attended to. We were able to look around a bit but also received some suggestions on what the staff thought would look nice which is always appreciated. We had it narrowed down to a few options and then talked amongst ourselves to make the final selection. The nice young lady entered the order into the computer and the manager or owner stepped in and told her to apply a discount which was super cool. They told us our order would be ready in a couple of weeks and sure enough they called on time to inform us it was ready. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, super selection of frames to choose from and the quality of the work was terrific!
