So it's been a little while since we have been here and last time we thought it was great. So there was a bit of a concern about revisiting and oak being able to live up to our first visit.... Well I am glad to say it somehow exceeded expectations. The place is beautiful with great seating not too condensed as well as bar seating. Service was second to none. Pleasant and friendly (Darcie was great). The food was great. We had: Wedge salad - great Bread- great Sides of green beans and fries - great Fillet and cowboy rib eye omg. My family took a trip to Easton for Bacon Fest and came here for dinner afterward. We were a large group, and the restaurant seated us in their private wine cellar room downstairs -- such a great touch! The attention to detail was fantastic. Most places would've assigned one server to a big party like ours, but they gave us two, and both were excellent -- friendly, quick, and super attentive. With over 20 people, it's tough to make everyone happy, but every single person loved their meal. At least 15 of us ordered steaks, and every one was cooked perfectly to order. I had the salmon, which was delicious -- and a huge portion, too! We shared a ton of appetizers and sides, and honestly, everything was rave-worthy. This was our second time dining here with a large group after Bacon Fest, and we highly recommend it for both small dinners and big celebrations, and will definitely be back for a third time! read more

It's been years since I have circled back to reviewing Oak. We went New Years Eve right when they opened, hoping to get a spot at the bar because we knew it would be packed with reservations, but it seemed that many people had the same idea, but they put us on a bar wait list, and we were able to go to the 3rd Floor to have some cocktails while we waited for our seats. The 3rd Floor bartender was fantastic. She got inundated with lots of people, but she kept her cool and made a fantastic drink. Once we headed to the bar to have our dinner, it was exceptional, as always. We started with the shrimp scampi and stuffed mushrooms. They were so good, paired with the fact that we were starving, that we only got a picture of the empty plates My husband then had the cowboy steak, and I had the rack of lamb; they were perfectly cooked and delicious; we also got a side of the spinach with garlic which was also really good. Not many places sell Key lime pie, so I felt the need to try to fit in some dessert, and I am glad I did. It was really good, and we paired it with one of their dessert cocktails which we also enjoyed. The staff were great as well even though it was packed. The best steakhouse around. We had a 4pm reservation. The table was ready and waiter awaiting us. The service is impeccable. The manager was kid enough to offer my daughter a pillow as she doesn't like sitting in a high chair but was too small to see across the table. The tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection. My friends and I dined here for the first time Tuesday evening. Our table was ready upon arrival, and the food was incredible! We started with the Fried Calamari. The calamari was lightly breaded, perfectly crisp, and served with jalapeños peppers and Cajun aioli. I had a hard time making a steak selection, but eventually decided on the 24 oz dry-aged porterhouse. This steak was absolute perfection! Every bite was melt in your mouth delicious. My friends both ordered the 10 oz prime filet mignon. They enjoyed theirs as much as I did. We also had a side of garlic whipped potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Yum! Service was fine. Steakhouse in downtown Easton. The old wood floors and ceiling are beautiful giving it a great atmosphere. We had 2 servers for our party of 3 and they were super friendly and quite attentive but unfortunately a little forgetful (see later). We ordered 2 cocktails from the menu and they were ok, a little too sweet, the balance wasn't quite right. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and was tasty and juicy but just a little over salted. The filet mignon again was very good but over salted. The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly and very flavorful but again was way too salty. The sides of sweet potato, corn, and lobster mac & cheese were all very good. I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon to go with the lamb and had to wait 25 minutes by which time my lamb was cold. They realized they messed up and comped the wine which was nice. As a final point, I was a little upset at the way the leftovers were treated. My $60+ rack of lamb, which was only about half eaten, was jammed into a tiny container and was bulging out of the sides, the meat touching the bag that it was in. I'll give this place a solid 4 but I won't be rushing to come back as they are very pricey as well. read more

This was ours first time dining here, and had high expectations but things fell short for us. Maybe it was just this day, or what we ordered, but it wasn't amazing. The bacon appetizer was SO GOOD. We ate the two pieces and were excited expecting the rest of the meal to be great as well. For main course we got the Tomahawk steak, truffle fries and Mac n cheese. The truffle fries were great! Would definitely recommend. But when it came to the actual steak and Mac n cheese, that is where the problems were. They told us the Tomahawk steak was fatty, and we love Tomahawk steak, we've had it before but at other steakhouses. But this steak was VERY fatty. We've never had one with globs and globs of fat in it. So we ended up barely eating it. It had a nice flavor, but I wouldn't order a tomahawk here again. Also, bringing it out already sliced instead of still on bone and then cutting for you at your table was weird to me but that is how they do it here. The Mac n cheese looked great, but it was salty and the macaroni was over cooked. The atmosphere was cool but very loud inside. The staff were all really nice and attentive. We're going to give it another try and get a different steak. We originally were going to try the Porterhouse for two, but when server told us they had Tomahawk steak, we changed our minds. But will try the Porterhouse next time. Will update my review then. Couldn't decide on whether to give 2 or 3 stars, honestly it's a steakhouse, so the steak should've been amazing and it wasn't. My family and I noticed this restaurant on our way to go tubing in the area and decided to have a quick bite once our adventure was over. The hostess, while thinking was very professional, was very obvious in her dislike for our appearance. When we asked for a table inside, we were informed that this restaurant was reservation based and, unfortunately, would not be able to accommodate us. My mom was excited for steak, so unfortunately, even though I could already see through the BS, my mom said no, let's sit outside. I agreed and was still told by this same hostess that they would need the table back by 7 because of "reservations." They sat us outside in the table furthest from the doors. There were so many bugs that it was extremely uncomfortable. If you have an outdoor area, you would think you could add some citronella plants/candles or something to soothe this inconvenience. My food was just okay. I had the octopus, which was very spicy and the sliders. Just okay. My mom and my aunt asked for the 10oz filet minion, medium well. My aunts came out perfect, my moms ... came out well done, dry, and so over salted. I should have taken a side by side picture of the completely different colors and textures the steak had. It was awful. I told my mom we should return it, and she wouldn't because "if the hostess is that rude, imagine the chef?" Mind you, the food also took forever. Our server was very nice and attentive. I wouldn't want this review to be any points against her. Around 6:30, we asked for the check and went to use the restroom inside before our long drive. Amazing!!! I can't wait to go back. Went for a birthday celebration and everything was delicious! Everything we ordered was great. Really like the restaurant ambiance - it's well decorated and has a fun vibe. Our server was ok - when he brought our wine to our table he asked us to take the wine glass off the tray - that's never happened to me before! We had dinner here tonight. There were 4 of us (one was a 10 year old who said the bread and fries were yummy) We had reservations and we were seated right away. The ambience was nice a little dark but modern. Very warm and inviting. We started with crab stuffed mushrooms and Bavarian pretzels. They were very good but the mushrooms 10/10. For dinner we had a ribeye and NY Strip. We got French fries, loaded baked potato and lobster Mac and cheese. So much food but it was incredible. We were celebrating a birthday so we fit in some dessert. We got a dessert on the house it was raspberry sorbet I think. Then we got crème brûlée and a brownie sundae. We might not eat until late tomorrow. A 10/10 meal from start to finish. Last but definitely not least the service. We were taken care of. Wow. So on August 8 went to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday! We had a reservation and we were ushered to the upstairs to the back room to a round table. That should only hold six or five, but we squeezed in seven they had two servers a couple of table clearers the place was hot back there and we told him to turn on the air condition a little bit more Downstairs was beautiful upstairs as well as we went through the menu we ordered a tomahawk which was superb and so what's the porterhouse my granddaughter ordered filet mignon because she likes her steak a little bit more cooked. We had medium rare , the service was not what I expected for a steakhouse I have visited other steakhouse and this one needs more attention to the tables. We had to wait a long time for our drinks. This a cool place with what I think is a bit of a rustic vibe. Excellent, friendly service at the upstairs bar, where I started with the lobster croquettes and then ordered the ribeye, some mashed potatoes, and the creamed spinach. One hiccup: I ordered a ribeye, but got the NY strip. I used to prefer strips, but have quit ordering them because they usually have gristle at least in some part of the steak, no matter where I go. But I went ahead and ate this one and it was delicious. Tender throughout and perfectly cooked. The sides are enormous and could only finish half of each. But both were very good. We had the lobster bisque soup special, Caesar salad, filet (medium rare, the best steak I've ever had, cooked perfectly), chicken, whipped potatoes, asparagus & Brussels with bacon special. Returning customer here! :) I came here with my parents for their anniversary & when I made the reservation, I was so happy that they were able to accommodate the table that I wanted - we were off to a great start! Appetizers: 1. Crab stuffed mushrooms - perfect, soft, buttery goodness. 2. Thick cut bacon strips - we weren't planning to get this, but when we smelled the aroma from the table next to us... let's just say we knew we had to try (& well worth it!) It was savory, especially with the touch of maple syrup. 3. Fried calamari - I was apprehensive to get this at a steakhouse, but WOW was I pleasantly surprised by the quality of the squid. The jalapeño was the cherry on top! Our entrees: we each got the 6oz filet mignon - seasoning was on point & it was cooked to perfection - medium rare (just how I like it). I typically don't use any steak sauce, but the waiter had us try the house made steak sauce & it was tangy and refreshing. Our sides were the grilled asparagus (loved the parmesan touch) and sweet potato au gratin (tasty & unique with goat cheese crumbles - reminded me of a healthy macaroni & cheese actually). Dessert: 1. Complimentary sorbet - clean, refreshing & not that sweet. 2. Key lime pie - had a nice strong taste of citrus lime that complimented perfectly with the not-too-thick graham cracker crust. 3. Irish coffee - nice strong coffee taste. This restaurant NEVER disappoints me! It continues to be my favorite restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. I don't understand how a place like Oak pushing to be an upscale steakhouse hires workers that put there ego ahead of customers. Review in the form of "note to self" because I'll be coming back here for the culinary experience and for inspiration for excellence: So what if it was a bit too loud, a little too warm or a touch too dim in there, these were professionals at work. From the welcoming hosts, to serving staff that were incisive and keen, to the dedicated kitchen crew who can partly be seen in action, the way all members of Three OAK Steakhouse function is a class above. Being with a party of 20 allowed me to try no less than nine items and was impressed by the much higher standard of most of them. 9-10/10 : whipped potato, truffled Parmesan fries, sautéed spinach and garlic. 9/10: grilled asparagus, fried calamari. 7-8/10: Cesar salad , sweet n spicy shrimp. 10/10: salmon with mushroom and truffle risotto. I mean it. 7/10: Oak Sundae. Delicious ice cream. The almonds was a nice touch. The brownie was the weak link. Completed the experience really well. This team is serious about their craft. Appetizers and drinks were good. But see this steak? Looks good, right? It was purportedly a "20 OZ. DRY-AGED KANSAS CITY STEAK" for 62.95. It was the least flavorful and unmarbled steak I've had in many decades. If it was dry aged, I can't imagine it was dry aged for any meaningful amount of time. read more
