I never leave Yelp reviews, actually this is my first one ever! (It's my first review ever!)…read more -I have been ALL OVER Ft. Wayne since moving here 3 years ago and to almost every dog grooming place here, and this was the first one that did such an AMAZING job! -Christy (Kristi) was the remarkable woman who cared for him. -The entire staff was friendly and professional, and my furbaby was treated exceptionally well! -I highly recommend this place! We will be going back before we left. We set up our next appointment! -For anyone looking for a new groomer, they took about a week to get him in. -They also have boarding & a very clean facility! -Thank you to everyone there and thank you to Christy for doing such an amazing job!!

My dogs were neglected in their care. My one dog didn't get fed two meals in his two day stay and…read morehe gets fed twice a day. My other dog didn't get his daily tooth brushing treat that should have been on the paper that is highlighted but his meds are on there and he only got them the first day! They didn't give them their toys either. One of the toys has a rawhide ring on it and it wasn't touched. On the ride home he got the ring off in the first 5 mins in the car! I prepared all the food for both dogs in bags so all they had to do is dump it in their bowls. I did provide pumpkin for my little guy this time and it was twice as much pumpkin than he needed. They didn't give me my container back or the extra pumpkin. His name and the amount he needed was on the container. There are a lot more issues but I don't have the time to type them all out. The owner has been made aware of the issues and has not responded to my email about how she can make this right. I asked that they start giving a military discount in honor of my boys. Maybe $5 a stay would be great to remember how badly they were treated so they don't do that to another poor dog. I will never trust them with my boys again! To your response. Your staff knew that we are a military family and said that you don't have a military discount! Because I asked! The reason the boys were there were for all military reasons! I gave you days to reply to my second message about how you could make things right and you never did! The first email I sent you never responded to! The reply to your email I waited from the 29th to the 3rd when I sent another message. More proof you can't be trusted.

TLDR: They'll do in a pinch…read more The good: twice now I've needed to kennel my dog on very short (day before or day of) notice and they've been able to accommodate him which I greatly appreciate. The meh: The first time when I picked him up he was inexplicably wet. Not "I just had a bath" wet, but more "I ran through a mud puddle" wet. Not a huge deal, but what was that about? The not good: The next time my usual dog sitter flaked on me due to a death in the family and I called them up at noon and booked him for that night. An hour and a half later I get a call that my regular (in home) sitter was available, so I called back to see about cancelling. No they won't give me a credit. Fair enough, I understand if they had to turn someone away because of your reservation why should they have to eat that? But this was one hour, and the net result is that I will only call them until I'm 1000% sure I'm not wasting my money.

Have used them before service wise. They are good, but they have a very bad cancellation policy,…read moreeven for genuine reasons. Looks like they don't care once they get paid and there is no cancellation policy and plans to change and they don't understand even if it's a genuine policy they don't give you any credit. Have had dogs for over 15 years never had a boarding that does this. They keep saying we told you ahead of time that there is no cancellation policy and that's the only thing they stick by. Never taking my business back there.

First off, I want to say I did not have a problem with most of the staff and I felt like my dog got…read moregreat care. My issue is that I asked for a quote on my dogs teeth cleaning procedure. I received a quote of around $550. The person that gave me, the quote said that it could be higher based on teeth needing to be pulled, which I understood. Once the vet had my dog under anesthesia, he did call me and tell me that there were eight teeth that need to be pulled. He said he was kind of alarmed by that, but I told him to go ahead and pull the teeth. He talked about x-rays and filling some pockets with a material to help further protect the dog from gum, disease, and teeth issues. My exact words to him were just pull the teeth for now. To my surprise when I picked up the dog, the bill was $1500. I spoke to the vet and another employee about my bill. They gave me a $70 credit. I do not feel that I should have to pay for the x-rays or any fees associated with filling the pockets. The teeth extractions amount of to $600. At the most my bill should've been $1200. Lesson learned. Going forward, make sure this office sends you a text message with the exact cost of anything that will be done to your pet. In my opinion, that should be a standard process.

Took my dog to have eye surgery here. He came out looking good. He has his regular vaccinations…read morehere, and they do just fine. Lastly, I was taking him to be groomed here; they do a decent job, and the price is very reasonable. However, I now need to look for a new vet for two reasons. (1) I looked at getting his Simparica trio prescription filled at Chewy because, frankly, they are cheaper online, and almost immediately after, Westside sends out an email that they will not be allowing you to get your prescriptions filled elsewhere because (my paraphrase: they insist on getting their beak wet.) (2) After they've precluded me from buying online I tried to buy 6 months of my dog's meds here last week, and they gave me a box with 3 loose pills (still in blister pack, but torn apart) rather than the sealed manufacturer's box of six that I'd paid for. I balked, and I was given the sealed box of 6 pills I'd paid for. At issue #1, I was disappointed. There's a reason we don't allow human doctors to sell medication, because we are trying to avoid a financial motive in prescribing. While we don't legally require it for vets, it seems Westside specifically INSISTS on wanting a financial conflict. However, it's at #2 that I'm well and truly alarmed. Mistakenly giving me a 3-month supply versus a 6-month supply could just be a silly error. One would hope that when filling a prescription, there would be some attempt to verify, but why was this box clearly not factory sealed? If you're going to tell me you can't pass along prescriptions to other outlets because you don't trust them, you had better be cleaner than Caesar's wife. Which means you're not trying to sell people loosies.
