Julia had told me she designed and decorated the entire place herself (which even included the logo) which is quite impressive. She has a great eye for style and it shows in the welcoming, relaxing feel of her salon. The salon is also set in an old house, which makes it really cozy. Now onto the work that Julia does with her hair design. Today, I went in for cut and color. Before beginning, Julia made sure she had the exact idea of what I wanted from my visit down to every detail. She also spent a good amount of time going over my color choice for the day and making sure I was comfortable and excited about my new dye color. Julia is very knowledgeable about what colors and hair styles go well with your skin tone. She is very detailed oriented and she really wants to customers to love their hairstyle. While I was waiting for my dye to set, Julia offered me a cup of coffee or tea, whatever I wanted! This made the whole experience warm and relaxing. In the end, my new hairstyle and color was just what I wanted. I have already gotten so many complements on the color and cut! I can understand an up charge but $400 went to an inexperienced stylist who did an awful install. They just didn't care it went straight into her pocket over $1400 was spent at this salon , that is highway robbery if u ask me, they cannot justify products or labor because there wasn't any. She made me feel relaxed and completely understood that this was a business thing and she promised not to put on "night time" makeup. I felt so good and confident that I decided to do a FB Live inside a group I run and I got great compliments on how "bright" my eyes looked! If you've got an important event scheduled, don't leave your appearance to chance. See if Christine can do your makeup for the event or ask her to teach you how to apply your own makeup. I've had terrible experiences with painful facials, redness and breaking out after threading and getting burnt by waxing. After these experiences I am very picky about who I allow going near my delicate face. After years of not letting anyone touch my face Nas made me feel so comfortable and in control of the outcome of her services. She was extremely accommodating and allowed me to be very specific about how i wanted things, greatly easing my anxiety. The first time I went to Beauty by Nas I got threading of my eyebrows and upper lip. She is a marksman for eyebrows and was great about keeping my brows thick but shaped. With no weird red bumps from threading after my first experience I was hooked and knew I found a trustworthy woman that i needed to hang onto closely! The second time I visited Nas I decided to treat myself to a facial, conquering a second fear. It was sooooo relaxing I thought i knew how bad my first facial was but in truth had no idea how terrible until receiving the most relaxing, cleansing facial ever!
