I recently contacted four A/C contractors to discuss a new unit for my home. I found Stephen K. Denny through a Costco/Lennox program that I highly recommend. Mike Sokolowski came out and helped me determine the homes true heat load so I could avoid the mistake I made the last time I replaced the unit. This was the ONLY contractor, of the four, to really complete that analysis and not simply use a guess based on the square footage under air. I felt I was able to make an educated decision with Mike's help and arrived at the combination of air handler and compressor that would work best for my situation. My Install did require adding an additional return and up sizing three more as well as two new vents, the upgrade to larger copper and circuit breakers to match the needs of the new system. The entire process from sales to order to installation has been handled efficiently and professionally with literally no surprises. Stephen K Denny is a great company with professional and friendly technicians. But I have a complaint with the Lennox unit that was installed about three years ago and the lack of interest from Lennox in acknowledging that they have a "manufacturer's defect". Briefly; some insulation panels, which were installed at the factory, came loose and blocked the circulating fan air inlet and caused the unit to "freeze up". The SK Denny Tech found that the insulation panels that were glued to the inside of the unit had come loose causing the "freeze up" and in my opinion the glue job was inadequately / improperly done at the Lennox factory. The Lennox Customer Consultant blamed SK Denny for improperly installing the unit, but the insulation came from the factory already installed. read more

Today, October 22, 2014, we had a service call on our 4 air conditioning units by a technician named Douglas Fox. He was very professional, obviously quite qualified, and very friendly. He fixed the one unit which needed additional attention, and took the time to explain exactly what he did, and how the air conditioning units actually work. We have been customers of Stephen K. I had scheduled Stephen K. Denny to do some preventative maintenance on our A/C unit. The maintenance crew did a great job!! They cleaned the coils, checked for the ducts for leaks, replaced the filter and cleaned the blower fan blades!
