I have been doing basic routine maintenance the past couple of years on my 95 year old mother's almost 5 yr old a/c. I did not know what company to call and was dreading looking for one. And that was because I was not impressed with the company she had been using and had purchased two a/c's from them at different times. So I went on Nextdoor.com to get recommendations. I read reviews of a couple of companies and went to Yelp to see the reviews on one of those companies. It only had one review and it was one star. The a/c stopped working last Friday evening and here it is Monday morning. Do I really have time to call numerous places? No way. I needed the a/c fixed asap. My gut was telling me to click that link for A. R. Williams. I did just that and I read numerous of their reviews and was impressed and immediately called them and was scheduled for that afternoon. I was also kept informed of when the tech would arrive. The tech Mike Ruiz arrived and went right to work to diagnose the problem. He found the issue, informed me of the price and I authorized the repair. Mike also made some recommendations and he was not pushy at all when I said not at this time. My mother and I were very impressed with the excellent customer service we received as it was above and beyond our expectations. My family and I just purchased a home in Boca. The home was older and had original ductwork. We didn't want to run the air as we have children and the quality of that air was probably going to be pretty bad, the old ductwork was really dirty with some mold on the outside of the sleeves. I searched up A.R. Air Conditioning on Yelp and received an immediate response. They were able to get a couple guys out right away to give us a bid on the job. I ended up hiring them on the spot as their bid was pretty close to the number I had in mind and they were able to get started immediately, this was an important factor as we had no air conditioning. When they started work the next day they brought us out mobile ac units that we could use! This was amazing and something we never asked for or even thought was possible. They let us keep and use the ac units over the weekend and until the job was completed. We would have been so uncomfortable without those...thank you. I would rate the quality of their work exceptional. Adam (not the owner) the technician was very concerned with our well being, getting us up and running ASAP, and ensuring everything was being done properly. I am extremely picky, pretty much about everything and have 0 complaints. When I had a question it was answered. When I wanted something changed it was done. It all started with my call to request an estimate for a new HVAC system. Kevin was the 2nd HVAC guy I saw that day. Kevin opened up the air handler and told me what I already knew (I needed a new system). He then proceeded to go into my attic to check the ducts (he said they were fine). Then he went outside to check the compressor and to calculate heat loss. When he returned he said I also needed the compressor unit (I knew that too). We then sat down and he went over the different options. I would have chosen the middle option but I had a 3rd guy coming and I wanted to see their price. The 3rd company came in significantly lower and I would have gone with them, but something rubbed me the wrong way. Possibly the fact that their guy was here all of maybe 10 minutes, never opened the air handler, didn't check the duct system, just looked at the outside of the air handler, noticed the mold and the age and proclaimed I needed a new one. When Kevin called back to check on if i'd made a decision, I told him of the lower price and he asked if he could tell his boss (Adam). Adam called me back and he basically matched the other company's price. Day of install came without a hitch. Install was done in 5 hours. The compressor unit is soooooooooooooo much quieter that the old one. The only issue I have is that apparently Adam is so busy that it took him forever to text me back so that I could pay him via Zelle! I highly recommend A.R. Williams. read more

I called A.R. Williams because my outside compressor would not start up when the thermostat called for it. I attempted to diagnose it myself but when I started to read 240v in the directions I knew my life is worth calling a professional HVAC Technician. My one hour of HVAC experience would not have solved the problem as it was a multitude of them. When I called, I was greeted by Jamie who set me up with a initial appointment for the following morning. Fortunately, another client of A.R Williams had to reschedule to my benefit and they had a HVAC Technician out to my house in a few hours. The HVAC Technician sent was Frankie and he went thru the AC system thoroughly and kept me informed and updated along the way. He found that the system was not only wired improperly but the wiring that was used had breaks through out the lines. He also found fault in the contact and replaced it as well and corrected the air handler fan speed. Frankie, in the middle of the war on 24volt, installed our Nest thermostat and had the system up and running better then we've ever remember this AC system to run sense the new install from another company 6 years ago. I honestly almost cried! My mother just called me to say that her A/C is so cold that she has to re-adjust it at night! I live in Georgia and for the past few months my parents who live in Hot Sunny Florida were dealing with a series of A/C companies who honestly just wanted a check. Their A/C would run but would not cool the house. it's a 4 bedroom home, and at 2pm the temperature with the A/C on was in the 80s. I decided to fly down and to help them find a suitable company that could remedy the situation. After much research, I found these guys! They sent 2 techs the next day, they found out that my A/C had a leak. Since they needed to shut down the whole system to fix it, they came back the next day. After 1-2 hours the A/C was back up and running! They worked with me in terms of pricing by waiving the dispatch fee and really gave me the best deal in town. I called a number of other businesses before them. I wanted to wait at least 2 weeks before writing a review. Just wanted to make sure that the job was really done! 2 weeks later and my mother just confirmed that the A/C is working better than before! I highly recommend them! Heading into the hotter months, I decided to have our four a/c units serviced. I had used A. R. Williams previously for some small work, and I was impressed with their personable engagement and professionalism. As luck would have it, the unit cooling the primary suite failed before the technicians arrived. A service call had now expanded to include a repair. Mike and Jairo arrived around 2:00pm yesterday, April 4. Because I had neglected to perform any regular service, what I expected to last a couple of hours lasted for over six hours. Mike and Jairo finally left after 8:00pm. With dogged determination, they worked through a huge list of problems, from failed circuit board to a leaking coil. They would not leave until the air had been restored to the primary suite. Today, the entire house is running cooler and quieter than I can recall. The bill was not cheap; however, I accept that the problems resulted from poor maintenance on my part. I've now signed up for the company's routine maintenance program, which will save me money and headaches in the future. This company is unique in SFL. Our new Carrier AC installation was smooth and professional. From our first estimate meeting with Josh to contract agreement and all follow up from Adam the owner and Olivia in the office - through installation (within 3 business days) we couldn't be happier. Our 12-year-old Rheem system was not cooling as well as it should so we decided to upgrade before the summer heat arrived. We sought several quotes from different companies, and by far this company presented the best value all around including all the warranties. The two installers were professional, thorough, and efficient, including the clean up and hauling all the old equipment away. Josh even came out the day after install to advise us on our return air grate that was a tad noisy and based on a couple of his recommendations we fixed the problem easily by putting the filter in the base of the handler (instead of at the grate) and opening the grates wider for better air flow. He also installed the wifi thermostat that we wanted and helped with setting up the ap on my phone. Our home cools beautifully now, like never before. I had to save up as I am a senior citizen with very limited funds especially since the pandemic. I contacted many air conditioning companies to find one I could afford. My unit in the condo I am renting would freeze up. I have used a window unit in my bedroom to survive summer. I managed to save a little money and from all the companies A. R. I called first thing in the morning, spoke with Adam. After telling him about the problem with my AC, he advised he could be at my home within a few hours. Not only did Adam keep his word, he was able to come even earlier than expected. Adam checked my AC and advised of the problem. He even showed me what was wrong with pictures as well as the actual faulty part. He had to leave to pickup a replacement part. He was back and completed the work before I even knew it. Ryan from A R Williams was sensational with his service and knowledge. He has updated tools which greatly enhanced his ability to perform the maintenance required on my Carrier 3.5 ton system. Ryan provided before and after photos of his work. As a veteran of the U.S. Army, he provided a discount to the maintenance program I signed up for. The non-military cost per month is $30 but for veterans it is $20. This program has many benefits to include a10% discount on all parts and labor. The service calls for onsite service is cut in half to $65 and you are provided priority scheduling for all service calls. This pricing is also applied to after hour service calls to include weekend service calls. Ryan will be completing all future maintenance calls which is a true benefit as he will learn our system. Needed an AC company we can trust to do regular maintenance. I searched and found A.R and liked the fact it's family owned and had good reviews. They made an appointment for the next day and pretty much whatever time we wanted. Kevin was here on time and was very nice and polite. He wore a mask and took his shoes off at the door. We didn't even ask him to do that. He checked everything out and our system is working fine. He could have told us anything and we would have paid for it because our unit is on the roof and we can't see our unit. Kevin brought to our attention that a drain pipe was broken by the ac company the HOA is using since the roofs are being replaced. This drain can back up and cause damage to the unit. So thank God he let us know and we told the HOA about it. We bought the service plan because it was a great price for security and it was not pushed onto us. I reached out to them last week l, and they were able to come the same day and they did a great job finding an issue that the prior company could not even diagnose. A few days later one of my rental properties AC kicked the bucket and Adam sent a technician right away. They were able to get us a temporary cooling while we scheduled a new installation. They were very conscientious in making sure my tenant was happy. He was very transparent with what was going on and gave me options. I did not feel like I was up against the wall and had to get a new unit. I decided to get a new unit because it made the most sense with my plans for the property in the future. Living in Fl for decades, i've been through a lot of HVAC companies for homes and businesses. The quote i received was very good, i was emailed a detailed breakdown of the estimate and the work to be performed. This was not an easy job, 60yr old ductwork had to come out of a cramped attic, vents were in wall instead of ceiling, 3 little dogs that want to run out the front door but shoudn't etc... The lead guy Tyler was as courteous, prompt, competent, professional and Hard Working as i could ever have hoped for. The same goes for rest of crew, Daniel and Adam. Our A/C has been leaking for months and we have had 4 different service companies out to fix it all who assure us they cleaned the drain line and everything should be fine. When I expressed my concern of the ongoing problem with the 4th company they stated the drain pan was likely broken and I asked if that's something they could replace and they said no we would need to replace the entire unit (which is only 8 years old). A.R. Williams was the first company that actually gave me a detailed assessment and gave me answers that actually addressed the root cause of the problem and are able to fix the issue without replacing the entire unit. From the first phone call throughout my experience, I dealt with professionals who were courteous and willing to go the extra mile. The job was complex and required many visits and HOA approvals. AR Williams, and in particular, Adam, the president, was helpful, professional, and patient during the entire process. This was the smoothest service transaction I've ever encountered. I was in town for two days staying in my condo, visiting my mom. And just my luck, one night into my stay, my AC broke. Not knowing the local companies, AR Williams was recommended to me through a Facebook page for my community. So I called, spoke to Lisa, and she sent out a diagnostician named Jake within a couple of hours. He was so thorough, and explaining the process, and made sure that I had another technician come out a couple of hours later with two portable AC units to keep me cool until the installation of my brand new unit one day later.
