I love Dr. Dombro and his staff! I am so very thankful he is "in" my network. I've been here about three times already, and I am the worst at punctuality. I'm not sure what happened over the years, but my timing has gotten so bad. However, the ladies here are so nice; I never get scolded for being over 10 minutes late. Dr. Dombro is sooooo incredibly NICE. I've been warned by the beau that he will talk my ears off, but not in the you-are-so-annoying kind of way. He has a very gentle voice, similar to that of a masseur, so it's soothing and he throws in a couple of jokes if you keep an ear out. Dr. Miller is here too, and he's done my bi-annual cleaning. He has a very soft touch and my teeth felt so much cleaner afterwards. He's much quieter than his partner, but still so polite. Dr. Dombro did a cavity filling (I love candy D:) as well as a gap closure for my bottom two teeth (not sure of the proper dental term). I have experienced NO PAIN from any of my procedures! The filling was so tiny that Dr. Dombro said I probably wouldn't need anesthesia and he was right! My teeth had been separating because of my bad habits of avoiding retainers, so he created "faux teeth" to build onto my existing teeth out of materials that look like teeth. (Can I say "teeth" anymore in one sentence?!) It turned out great. The material he used is exactly like real teeth and the best thing is, it is permanent! (Unless you would want him to remove it.) "If you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain"...not the first thing you expect to hear when lying in the dentist's chair about to be worked over, but thanks to the sweet classic rock piped into the room, that's how my first visit to Dr Dombro started. From there the conversation, or I should say, the dialogue--you see Dr Dombro is the loquacious sort by his own admission so it tends to be a one-sided conversation, which is A-OK since you have a mouth full of metal--continued along the music lines as he's a fellow music junkie like me. Never did I think I'd be swapping one-hit wonder trivia with my dentist but wha-laa, Rupert Holmes it is! As for the cleaning, which was done by Dr Dombro himself with assistance from his extra friendly staff, I received one of the most thorough, well-articulated examinations I've ever had! Gentle, caring and chock full of non-preachy advice, his services are top notch. I changed jobs, and could no longer use the "dentist at work" program my company offered. I know Dr. Dombro outside his professional job, and thought "usually i don't mix work with friends" He is AWESOME. and his leadership drives the culture of his office. Everyone is kind, friendly, attentive. The work he had sone on my mouth is exceptional No high pressure "buy this, buy that" sales tactics. No work that is not necessary. His team is interested in the health of you and your teeth. period. I went in today, his newest hygienist? Jennifer? explained what she was doing as she delivered one of the best deep cleanings I've had in a while. Again, kind, compassionate, and just a pleasure. Dr. Dombro has been working on my teeth since I had a pretty nasty bike accident last fall. I broke my front two teeth. I had always gone to my uncle for my dental needs, but I moved from Chicago to San Jose and found myself in need of some very sensitive dentistry. Dr. Dombro took me on as a patient after I went to an "in network" dentist who I did not trust at all. He met with me for a discussion of possible care and was a true professional from minute one. He did a great job putting on my first crown, and when I needed another one recently he did more great work. Unfortunately, last night the tooth that had the temp. crown on it got infected. I was in terrible pain all night. Dr. Dombro gave up his lunch hour today to treat me. The relief I felt when I got my first novicane injection was almost worth the pain last night. Dr. Dombro and his staff are like family to me! I've been going for almost 20 years (I'm 26) and my whole family gets their teeth done by Dr. Dombro or Dr. Miller. Dr Miller is my dentist now and he always cleans my teeth himself, instead of a hygienist. I've never had a cavity yet, and if you knew my family's dental genetics that is a big deal haha. I've gone through a few different insurances and have never had any negative experiences with them. I don't know how to begin to recommend how incredible Dr. Dombro's office is!! From the second you walk in and talk to Cindee and Karen, or speak to them on the phone! They are so welcoming and professional but at the same time....very friendly and kind, easy to talk to! Your fears or nerves of going to the dentist are quickly turned into not worrying at all!! I made my first appointment out of pure necessity. I had a broken tooth. I hadn't been to a dentist in 10 years since a horrible experience at Western Dental. I took my time searching my dental network for an office that was close and had positive reviews. Finally stumbled across this gem of an office. From the first phone call with Karen to schedule my appointment, to now, my second appointment, everyone has been amazing. The assistant Miriam is super nice. She chatted with me during the xrays at my new patient appointment. Helped to get me comfortable. I was seen by Dr. Miller. Extremely friendly and stellar bedside manner. Got a referral for an extraction on the broken tooth after discussing options with Dr. Miller. Other than that, I had one tiny cavity, hence the second appointment today. My appointment was at 3:00, I got there at 3:03 pm. Greeted again by the fabulous front desk and didn't even sit down before Dr. Miller called me back. 45 MINUTES, START TO FINISH! So awesome! Only 45 absolutely PAIN FREE minutes. I didn't feel anything. Got my 6 month check up already set. I actually intend to keep it and, dare I say, may actually look forward to going. read more

I've been going to Dr Dombro's office for several years now. I typically see Dr Dombro for more "heavy duty" dental work (i.e. fillings) and I see Dr. Miller for my bi-annual teeth cleaning. Both Doctors are very good and have good chair side manner. They are very informative about my dental options and help me with my teeth care (without getting all preachy). They are also very gentle with my teeth and are sensitive to any pain I might experience. The receptionists are very nice and helpful. They always have current magazines in the waiting room. Dr Dombro is definitely a talker, but he is very amusing. Don't worry about replying to his chatter, he's pretty use to running on while he works on his patients. Dr. Miller keeps up a pleasant flow of conversation, but he also also allows for comfortable periods of silence. I would definitely recommend both of them to any patient. read more

I went to Dr. Dombro's office on the recommendation of a colleague a few years back and I have been very pleased. They're honest, friendly and really helpful. The receptionists are friendly and helpful and very accommodating. They assigned me to Dr. Miller, whom I've always had good experiences with. He has always been good at explaining how to take better care of my teeth, what sorts of foods to watch out for, and great at answering questions. They also have great technology in the office, such as a machine that tests your potential cavities to see whether they really need filling. The first time I went in, I hadn't seen a dentist in two years and needed a few fillings. Dr. Miller was very careful with the diagnosis and the experience wasn't painful at all. The next time I went in, no cavities. When my insurance ran out, I called the office and asked for their advice with finding an insurer and another dentist, and they were really helpful. They took time to explain my options, the benefits and drawbacks of insurance and what to look out for in the different plans. Sadly they do not take my new insurance plan, but I've had terrible dentist experiences under my dental HMO plan and I am strongly considering dropping the insurance and going back to this office, even though I know it might be pricey--it's worth it to have a dentist you can trust and a friendly receptionist. read more

Reception at Dr. Dombro's office are very rude and demeaning. I was treated very poorly when I needed to reschedule an appointment. My employment is with persons diagnosed with mental illness, and the unexpected sometimes happens with my clients. I didn't appreciate being treated so rudely because I had a change in work schedule, and could only call the day before to change my dentist appointment. I felt like I was being reprimanded. It was extremely unpleasant. I will not be returning to this dentist for this reason. read more

I just made a call to dr Dombros office to ask about insurance providers the accepted and I was met with a very curt and demeaning receptionist. So thank you for being so rude, we won't be using Dr Dombros services. My wife and I are both insured so I take it as your loss. Next time simple polite answers will suffice if you don't want more negative reviews. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Dombro for over 5 years. He is very professional, thorough and friendly. I am confident when I visit his office that I am getting the best care. When procedures are necessary he explains every detail and listens to my concerns before we decide the best way to proceed. I have had to contact him after hours and he was as congenial as he is in the office. What a relief when you're not feeling well!! The office staff is always very helpful, efficient and friendly. They do well processing insurance claims and are usually able to accommodate my schedule for appointments. I think the cost of service that is provided is an excellent value. read more

I have had some pretty horrid experiences with past dentists but not here.. My most recent visit was due to a filling that came loose. The ladies upfront were very accommodating and we're able to schedule me in the morning of the following day. The dental asst. was very nice and pleasant, she actually talked to me! Which didn't seem like this was all business.. Dr. Dombro always has so much to say that I wish I could hold up my end of the conversation! I enjoy hearing his insight on his life and past experiences. It makes the whole visit pretty comforting and of course, my teeth feel and look great! I will continue to come here as long as I can! Antiquated appointment system set up to make them money, it does not issue 20th century appointment reminders such as email. They give you a sticker that your supposed to place on a calendar 6 Months from now and make sure you remember because if you miss an appointment they will bill you $50!!!! Received a threatening letter from them after being a patient with them for years, it's a shame they got so greedy. read more

It is so nice to have a dentist who is kind and compassionate and has good things to say (and focus on) instead of all the alarming comments I've heard in the past. Also, he is conservative and HONEST in his approach. The dentist I saw before Dr. D told me I had 5 cavities. When Dr. D looked, he found NONE. He also noted that she had filled one of my cavities with silver when I had paid extra for the white. So many dentists seem to be con artists these days, but Dr. D and Dr. M are the opposite. Dr. D is talkative, but he is funny, and it helps to relax you and keep your mind off what is going on. He is as classic as the music he plays (he actually kinda reminds me of Eric Clapton himself)! read more

when you tell your dentist you are allergic to penicillin, but yet, he gives you amoxicillin for an unexpected infection which was onset after i went in for a simple cleaning....nuff said! i broke out in a horrible rash and ended up having an infection after seeing him. dr. miller = very nice. dr, dombro, caused me all this pain i mention above. read more

After a horrible experience, I got a referral to Dr. Dombro from a friend. So glad I went! I've been a regular dentist goer my whole life, and have had braces twice, so I've seen my share of dentists. He's as good as it gets! He didn't try to sell my on a bunch of unnecessary treatments. He thoroughly explains things, and really understands things from the patient's point of view. He frequently says that he explains the details because no one ever explained it to him when he was a patient and he didn't know what to expect. I just bought dental insurance for my daughter and the insurance web page gave me dr dombros name. I yelped a bunch of dentists and ended up calling this one. They were extremely nice and informative over the phone. I was very happy talking to them. Unfrotunatly at the end of my conversation w/ the reseptionist it turns out they don't take any hmo plans. :( insurance is tricky, but I would give this office 5 stars for the nice receptionist and her informative help. if I had different ins I would definitly go here. read more

Here is my story. I had a tooth act up on Saturday morning that I knew was a root canal because it hurt so bad. I waited until Monday morning to find a dentist who could do a root canal and not send me to another dentist. I called DR Dombros office and spoke to Cindy and Karen. They were so nice and scheduled for me to be seen On Tuesday morning. I was sitting at home in alot of pain and my phone rang. It was the office calling me back and they told me if I wanted to come in I could wait and he could see me in between patients. They did not want me to be in pain They informed me that it could be a very long wait. I headed down there and got there at 2:00 PM. I met Cindy and Karen and they rocked. By 2:30 I had the x-ray taken. At 3:15 the dentist came in and explained that he could take the nerve out and get me out of pain. And he would finish the root canal the next morning. He took his time and explained everything. I told him to go for it. 3:45 the procedure is done. Dr Dombros was so awesome. The needle did not even hurt and the procedure was painless. He talked the whole time to keep my mind off of the procedure. I have never met such a kind dentist in my life. He really does care about the comfort of his patients. His assistant and front office staff are awesome. They were so busy and I was so lucky they saw me today. I could write all all day about my great experience. If you are looking for a dentist go no further. The last thing is they gave me a weeks worth of antibiotics to take home with me so I did not have to go to the pharmacy, Thanks again kudo's to Dr Dombros and the entire staff. read more
