My husband had a root canal performed by Dr. Stephen Ferraro, and the experience was incredible. He was so comfortable during the procedure that he actually fell asleep! If you've ever been nervous about getting a root canal, this should tell you everything you need to know about Dr. Ferraro's skill and gentle approach. The reason I'm writing this review today, though, is because we received a check in the mail for an overpayment we had made. They could have easily kept the money, and we never would have known the difference. Instead, Dr. Ferraro and his staff took the time to identify the overpayment and proactively mail us a refund. In a world where honesty and integrity can be hard to find, that level of ethics speaks volumes. I was referred to Dr. Ferraro by my primary dentist to treat a root canal. Dr. Ferraro explained thorough of the procedure and answer all question you have. He definitely make sure you are comfortable with the procedure before starting. The entire procedure was smooth and professional. It took about 2 hours to finish. I have had a lot of dental work over my life, but never a root canal. I was nervous because of all the stories I've heard. I asked around and kol recommended Dr. Ferraro for my two root canals and I am so glad I drove from over an hour and a half away to see him. Not only was the procedure painless, there was no pain or soreness after. In my experiences with other dentists, it's common for me to get very sore and my jaw hurt and my mouth to hurt for a day or two after a filling. Dr Ferraro has a gift. I was shocked... my first root canal was a breeze. The second visit root canal was the very back rear molar, and it took - long time but the doctor was gentle, patient, stayed late, and did a great job. If you are scared of pain or scared of the dentist / endodontist GO TO DR Ferraro. It was soooo worth the drive. Amazing experience having been referred by my primary dentist as a result of an infection in a previous root canal with crown many years ago. I was told there was a possibility the tooth may need to be pulled and that was my worst nightmare. I was extremely nervous and apprehensive about the upcoming procedure. When I walked into Dr. Ferraro's office, I felt at ease right away since the environment was very professional and clean. Dr. Ferraro and his assistants were friendly and professional from the moment I entered their working space. Dr. Ferraro explained the procedure in minute detail, asking me if I understood and assured me he would try his absolute best to keep the procedure pain free. He advised me the tooth was very infected and due to the age of the previous root canal and resulting damage over time, he could not guarantee the tooth could be saved. He scheduled me for two visits for expected results. By the 2nd visit, he felt another visit was required at no additional charge. After the 3rd visit, he performed a miracle and saved my tooth. He is absolutely the best and brilliant at what he does. He made me feel that I was a priority and he went over and above to make sure I got excellent care. He even calls after each appointment to make sure I'm doing OK. Before I left his office, he scheduled a follow up visit in several months at no charge. His fees are reasonable, too. Dr. Ferraro was absolutely wonderful. I was terrified and prepared for major pain as I had heard horror stories from co-workers. This was my first root canal so I believed them all. Dr. Ferraro was recommended by my dentist so that gave me a little bit of peace. Before be began working on my molar he explained the whole process and I was comforted to know he was knowledgeable. He's very gentle and he continually asked if I was okay and asked if I was okay for him to finish the work that day or if I wanted to come back for a second appointment. He shows legitimate concern for his patients comfort. It was all done in one day and I could not believe - I was pain free the next day, just took advil for one day of slight discomfort . If I or any friends or family members ever need a root canal I would definitely recommend Dr. Ferraro. His assistant was very sweet and the rest of the office staff was very helpful. Yet she told me to come in and here I am driving all the way from LAX to Downey. What a waste of time. Dr. Ferraro is everything you could want in an Endodontist. As nerve-wracking and uncomfortable as a root canal is, Dr. Ferraro makes sure to explain each step and continually checks that you are comfortable. He is extremely thorough and even called to check in on me later that day. If you are looking for an endodontist, i highly recommend him. Dr.Stephen Ferraro is a brilliant endodontist who stops at nothing to get the best results for his patients. I had very severe pain in one of my molars. The tooth has a crown on it which was put by my previous dentist some time ago. The staff at his dental office was very professional and accommodating. They managed to give me an appointment in a day or so after I called in. It turned out to be an advanced case of root canal where Dr. Stephen had to work probably three times longer than the time he takes on his average patient.I feel quite fortunate that that he did not give up on me. While I was being treated he patiently explained the whole procedure to me step by step. That took care care of my nervousness and I felt quite comfortable throughout the whole process. On top of it he saved my old crown and saved me the hassle and expense of getting a new crown. Later in the evening he even called me to find out as to how I was feeling and if I had any concerns. Considering the amount of work he did for me, he charged a very reasonable fee for his professional services. I don't think it gets better than that. Not only him, everyone in his office is very friendly and professional. I will continue to recommend Dr. Stephen Ferraro to my friends and relatives. I went to Dr. Molina who is a few blocks away from this office, and they provided the root canal, post and tooth build up for the price that Dr. Ferraro wanted to charge for the root canal only.
