Dr. Lee is the BEST root canal endo ever! His staff are also some of the most accommodating dental staff I've ever encountered. I've had my 3rd ever root canal done here, but he's the second dentist to do it for me, the first dentist who did my first two root canals (done on the same day by that same dentist) fucked up so majorly l it's not even worth going into details. Anyhow, if you need a root canal done, look no further. Trust me on this, no one is more terrified of anything teeth related problems than me, so I know exactly what I'm talking about. I have a cornucopia of terrifying stories in the past that traumatized my mind brain so much that even just the thought about looking for a new dentist sends my bowels onto a rampage through a god forsaken dead end maze that leads to more dead ends. Dr. Lee doesn't necessarily hack out a new exit for the maze but he will prevent me from ever going near that damn field of dead ends. He's very thorough and observant on how you react o everything he does, same with his dental hygienists/assistants. Dr. Lee uses the mobile microscopes when it comes to cleaning out all the dead or damaged nerves and teeth bits, on top of all the x-rays he takes. Normal dentists just go by their x-rays and what their eyes tell them. But when you need to get in there, sometimes you need some giant microscopes to see all the tiny middle fingers that's stuck inside the root of my filthy tooth. Bottom line: it's never fun to have to get a root canal, but if you come to Dr. Jaehoon Lee's Office to get it done, you won't be disappointed. Depending on how your tooth is and which tooth it is, a normal root canal here will probably run you around a grand (per tooth) without insurance (also not including any consultation fees) give or take a couple hundred depending on how bad of a condition it is or if you're referred by any other friendly dentists. They are also very accommodating when it comes to scheduling the hours, none of that having to wait 3 weeks just to get a consultation crap. read more

I am a 16 year old girl who recently got hit in the mouth which caused a small fracture in my two front teeth. Because of this, I was in a lot of pain and my gums were super swollen so I went to my dentist. My dentist referred me to IQ because they specialize in root canals, and it was clear that was what I needed or else I would lose my two teeth (that are in the front row). I was really scared of losing my teeth already but I was glad I could see a specialist because I was confident they would do a great job on the procedure and that I wouldn't lose my teeth. I arrived at the office with my mom today, and had an appointment set for 4:15, we got there at 4:14. They had us fill out some paperwork and then we sat for probably a total of 20 minutes before being called in. Once I was in a room, a kind nurse took my x-rays and asked me some ice-breaker questions before Dr. Lee came. After she finished Dr. Lee came in, and introduced himself to my mother and I. My first impression of him was that he seemed nice and professional which made me feel a little more at ease. He explained the technicalities of the procedure and what he would be doing, he helped us understand by pointing at my x-ray and pointing out the area where the blood vessels and nerves are, and where my tooth root had started to decay. After Dr. Lee explained he asked if we had any more questions regarding the science of it, and my mother and I said no. My mother did stress the fact that I do not want to lose my teeth and that they are really important to her and I. Dr. Lee said he understood but there were no guarantees. After that, he said a nurse would come in to finish explaining what they would do. The nurse, earnestly explained what would happen and was super helpful in understanding, she used a tooth model to help. Once she finished, she asked if we had any further questions, and this is where the consultation took a turn for the worse. I asked if my teeth would look different from the front after the procedure since maintaining the current image of them is very important to me. Then Dr. Lee responded. He said they would look whiter after. However my mom didn't hear him quite well and was confused. She asked for clarification, "I'm sorry did you say wider or whiter?" My mom thought, since she isn't a dentist, that he could've said both. Especially considering the fact that the Nurse had explained they were putting putty and cavit in my tooth. So the possibility of Dr. Lee saying wider wasn't crazy. Instead of responding right away Dr. Lee just got quiet and made several weird facial expressions ( according to my mother). So my mom asked, "I'm a little confused, did you say whiter or wider you're making some interesting facial expressions at me right now." Immediately after that Dr. Lee started yelling at my mother and being super rude. "I SAID WHITER, WHITER." It's common sense that I would say whiter when your daughter asked about the color her teeth would be after. Which, I did not ask that, I asked what they would look like from the front. Dr. Lee continued to yell in such an aggressive and demeaning way. "WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M STUPID!? I HAVE BEEN WORKING HERE FOR 16 YEARS, I AM ABOUT TO BE 48 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PATIENTS MOM TREAT ME THIS WAY." He repeated yelling these statements over and over. At this point, I am on the verge of tears, I truly felt like he could have hit either me or my mother at any point. His actions made me question my safety and my mothers. At this point my mom was like "It fees like you're making fun of me actually by saying "it's common sense", how am I supposed to know that? I am not a dentist." Then Dr. Lee begins to yell about how my mom was making fun of his accent and being racist, over and over. My mom and I are both white. My mom is a teacher and her class consists of mostly Indian and Asian students many of whom, do have accents. We are not racists and for him to accuse my mom of being one because she was confused was simply baffling. At this point I am crying and desperate to leave. Dr. Lee then yells at his nurse and says, "GET THEM OUT OF HERE I DON'T WANT TO WORK WITH THEM, GET THEM OUT ASAP." He repeats this phrase over and over while he storms out of the room. His nurse explains that she is sorry and that there was a miscommunication and tells me not to cry. However, at this point both my mother and I are in tears. Dr. Lee then comes back in the room, and continues yelling at us. He said something about my mom being a teacher and that she should be able to understand what he is saying if she is a teacher. Keep in mind, throughout the whole consultation, he was using dental Jargon hard for my mom and I to completely understand. He was clearly and is an intelligent being and my mom actually mentioned to me that she was glad we came because our normal dentist can be sketchy. So for him to just assume my mother was judging him and being racist was absurd. read more

Root canal At first the staff was nice and accommodating After my consult it was arranged and accepted that we would pay by cash or credit card the balance of $1700.00. We had paid cash the$500.00 for the CT Scan on that day of the consult. During the consult Dr. Lee had informed me that he had 4 or 5 root canals and found it strange I had never had or needed one. He left and different assistants came in to explain the procedure requirements and then the insurance young lady clarified all the charges. Appt was set for 11/21/23. During these days of waiting for my procedure I was called 4 times to ask about how we would pay the balance multiple different ladies. I had informed them nicely that we had planned to pay on the day of the procedure. 3 more calls and a voicemail continued on different days before my procedure. Finally the root canal was done. The Dr. Lee did not write me a prescription for pain medication or any antibiotics. My dentist office called them to get a prescription for both. Unbelievable. I was informed that I would receive a phone call after my root canal and no call ... but they apologized. Root canal was a failure so now I had to have my tooth extracted. I do not recommend IQ, to say the least. I was really hoping that my pain and discomfort would be resolved but I had a follow up due to the pain and after Dr Lee pooled, tapped and froze my tooth causing severe agonizing pain. He disappeared and his assistant had me see a video on another procedure. REALLY .... I was in pain, devastated and broken that I was going to loose my tooth. The doctor wanted me to see a video and how to get more money from me. UNBELIEVABLE. So disappointed in IQ's dental service. Definitely no compassion or bedside manner from Dr. J. Lee. read more

My husband had to have an emergency root canal done and Dr. Lee was referred to us. He was awesome! He literally explained to us why the past root canal did t work, how they do a root canal, what our options were and what each one was and how he would do the root canal. He is thorough! This place is definitely awesome! I came in here with a very bad active infection. Since day 1 everyone has been attentive and nice to me. The office is clean. The service is great. And Dr. Lee is amazing and friendly. He always had answers for me. He answered all my calls (after hours and during the weekend too!) Was nervous about getting a root canal but my experience here at IQ dental nothing sort of wonderful. The appointment was very easy to make over the phone and walking in, the staff were super friendly, helpful and professional in answering all my questions regarding how the procedure works and how the treatment plan works with my PPO insurance. My root canal was performed by Dr. Lu. Would 10/10 recommend. From initial conversation it was very apparent that Dr. Lu was extremely knowledgeable and not to mention very patient in addressing my concerns and explaining the process and what to expect, from the numbing cream and the anesthesia to expected length the process would take. The procedure itself felt smooth and thorough while being only approx 1 hour and I felt no pain at all during root canal! Overall had a surprisingly pain free time and would definitely recommend to anyone needing root canal work and looking for a endodontist- if it's anything like my experience you absolutely will not be disappointed! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We were referred to IQ Specialist per our general dentist and I am very glad we were. Dr. Lee performed a root canal on myself and he was flawless. Amazing bedside manners, especially for someone like myself who is petrified of the dentist. Dr. Ha extracted 4 wisdom teeth from my son. My son had a very minor issue during recovery at home that freaked me out a bit and Dr. Ha was on top of it. He assured me that everything was fine, gave me his cell and told him to call him for any other concerns I had. I had a horrible experience. I received a phone call around 6pm the day before an 8am appointment, their own appointment cards ask for a courtesy 24 hour notice. I was told the doc couldn't come in for my appointment, and so I agreed to come in later at 11:30am for the doctor to see me. I had to call work and because of logistics, I ended up taking a full day off of work. I arrive to my appointment, get seated in room 3 only to learn the doc wouldn't be there. The assistant took pictures with a cell phone to send to the doctor, the doctor apparently approved the assistant to treat my sutures with a rinse and release me. Not only is this super unprofessional, I'm not even sure if it's legal. Not only was my time wasted, but I never saw the doctor which means that I could have sent a damn picture myself or kept my original 8am appointment. I've never heard of a medical professional doing this, definitely not in my experience. I was referred by my dentist, most likely for the last time. I do have to say that the office staff, and the doc himself, were very nice and cordial, even when they knew I was upset. read more
