Dr. Spelman is the most honest and talented dentist that I have ever known. Believe me I have had many bad experiences. It is a blessing to have found him. He does everything possible to save your natural teeth. He never pushes unnecessary work. He suggests ways to keep one from more dental bills. And they work! Gave me a crown told me I didn't need a root canal despite my objections 5 years later they had to give me a root canal and he drilled a hole through my crown and perforated my tooth, didn't say anything covered the whole in my crown with this gray sealant and then 2 years later I had to have that tooth removed because he perforated my tooth causing an abscess the size of my thumb.  HORRIBLE!!! read more

I am oh-so grateful for Dr Spelman, he is a true master in his craft! I found him through a friend referral after having several dentists whose work failed just as soon as I was done paying for it. As a result I was completely terrified of the dentist, both physically and financially. After consultations with 3 different dentists, he was the only one who not only identified every issue but educated me and helped me understand why he recommended a certain treatment plan. Choosing Dr Spelman was only half of the battle, I was a scared mess at every appointment. Thank goodness for his supportive support staff. Karen, his dental assistant, is an angel. She's intuitive, empathetic, patient, naturally comforting, AND amazing at her job. I'm happy to say I'm as comfortable as one can be at the dentist now! My appointment with all of the staff here at Dr. Spelman's office was amazing! I am a new patient of there's and had to fill out the paperwork and do the pictures and X-rays of my teeth, so the appointment took longer than usual, but that was to be expected. Dr. Spelman was very great at explaining to me all of his concerns with my teeth. The front receptionist was amazing at helping me when I first came in. Lily was fantastic at helping me checkout, with her smile and kindness, I knew I would be back. Erika, my sweet hygienist, was so kind and great at cleaning my teeth that I booked my next appointment right after she was finished! WOW! I was in an awful awful accident. I spent 84 EIGHTY FOUR days in at out of a coma at UMC! I got MRSA in the hospital and was in isolation after learning how to walk again. I got sent to collections for a dental procedure I had before I broke my neck, spine, left arm and feet the moment that I got out of the hospital and reacclimated my life I paid in FULL my dental bill. I recently called to make an appointment and I was told I'm no longer permitted to come in and get services done by the doctor because I was sent to collections even though I paid in full. When I explained that I was in and out of a coma for 84 days had MRSA and was paralyzed they said sorry. I even asked her to double check with the doctor after explaining my situation I've been in a coma. I received a callback immediately and said sorry there's nothing we can do for you it was too too long. Hello I was in and out of a coma for 84 days and paid in full right after! Zero remorse was shown! This is despicable I have been going to this doctor since I moved to Las Vegas in 2011. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! Message me if you care to hear more! ATTENTION ATTENTION UPDATE UPDATE: ADDITION TO THE MANAGERS COMMENT BELOW! It's hard to get mail when u spend 3 months in a gurney and lose everything. 84 days in and out of a coma. Then set to rehab then rebuilding after MONTHS of being paralyzed to learning to walk then get back to finding a new home / getting my home back and losing everything. I after finding a home again due to losing in because bills were not getting paid because people thought I was passed away. The dentist the DENTIST I found away to pay in full while most humans would have not paid cause they had bigger fish to fry like 2.3 million to UMC but I paid in full the moment I knew of such bill! And I paid. I PAID a min dental bill after getting a home back all while owing millions to UMC. After I talked to them and offered to bring in records from coma, 1-6 surgery, rehab, a hole in my spine (see photo) all proof there was nothing I could do but the moment I was ALIVE and well I paid IN FULL and etc and they came back with a call saying we told Dr Spellman about ur coma and were still not going to see you. I've been going to Dr Spelman for about 3 years now. I will never switch and was referred to Dr Spelman by a friend that feels exactly the same. I've done invisalign (bringing me into the office at least once a month) and all of my cleanings, fillings and x-rays here. All of the staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The staff has low turnover, which says a lot! The office and equipment are in great condition, top of the line and always clean. The appointments are on time to the minute 95% of the time. I never feel like I'm waiting on the staff, plus I get text reminders just in case I forget my appointment. I honestly can't come up with anything negative or constructive to say about Dr Spelman, his staff or the office. I live and work in Henderson and will make that drive every time. read more

For some reasons, I have personal experiences with many dentists ( altogether around 7 dentists. ) Dr. Spelman is the best of the best ones. First of all, his integrity and honesty stand out. Finding a good dentist is hard to find when you move. I lived outside of Boston for my entire life, prior to moving to Las Vegas, and had the same dentist for as long as I can remember. When I moved out here I went through several. They all seemed to want to "sell" you services over taking care of your needs. That all stopped once I found Dr. Spelman, whom I have I been a patient for several years now. He never suggests that you go through any unnecessary procedures, even when I asked about them, he steered me away with a very honest opinion. Every person that works in his office at the front desk or the hygienist is wonderful. They are all super professional and very nice to work with. I love Dr. Spelman! I have had some pretty bad experiences with dentists, and Dr. Spelman is working to correct some of the shoddy dental work. I told them when I came in for my initial exam and x-rays that I had some issues with anxiety and Dr. Spelman gave me a prescription to help with that. I took it as prescribed before my cleaning/getting two fillings and I honestly don't remember much of my visit! I was practically falling asleep in the chair when in the past I would sit with my heart racing and fists clenched the whole time. I need to have two poorly made crowns on my molars replaced and I 100% trust Dr. Spelman and don't feel any worries about going to the dentist now. Moved out here from the Midwest (Michigan) with no connections to dentists, went through 5 in 4 years b cause of crappy hours, not personable, not understanding their accents, so sister in law told us about how her dentist friend had worked for him, and we should go check him out.. we did and wow it has been a blessing, she. We first moved out here I had a root canal (5 years ago) I honestly don't think the other dentist knew what he was doing after I had to get it redone.. spellman doesn't specialize in root canal infections, so he advised me to a specialist and wasn't going to lie to get me to do it through him.. that is awesome!
