Mind blown. I have no clue how this practice has any stars. I gave one star for the free toothbrush because it was required. In reading other reviews here, I am not the only person who was treated poorly. This was my experience... Robot or human? You decide. Firstly, Dr. Cohan has ZERO bedside manner. I just moved to Las Vegas from Tampa, and it was my first (and last) time at this practice. For starters, she did not even say hello to me! She didn't introduce herself and she didn't ask my name, literally nothing. And then it got worse... She kept insulting me, my teeth, and my mouth (WTH?). She was using terms that I was unfamiliar with, and when I asked her to explain further, she didn't bother. She was abrupt and rude, had no personality, and made me feel like I was an alien. I was sitting in the chair thinking, "Is this woman trying to upset me or make me cry?" She was also extremely rough in looking at my mouth and during the cleaning (Side note: I've never had a dentist do the cleaning ever in my life.) I had just explained to her that my gums were especially sensitive and she made me feel even worse, as if there was something wrong with me. No dentist has EVER made me feel like that before in any city or state that I've lived in. She even started badmouthing dentists on the East Coast. Well, guess what? I've seen several dentists in Florida and Georgia who actually took the time to get to know me and made going to the dentist a pleasant experience. She made it seem like "her way" was somehow superior, but if being rude and ugly to your patients is her way, then count me out. I almost walked out the door before the cleaning when I found out that she was the one who was going to do it, but I just sucked it up and stayed since I was already there. But it continued to get worse... I told one of the hygienists that I was extremely uncomfortable and did not care for the way the dentist spoke to me or handled the situation. It gets better... She completely agreed with me and answered my questions for me, since the dentist wouldn't. Then, she told me quietly, "I really wish that I could tell you more, but I'm being watched on camera right now, and if I say anything, I'll get in trouble." Just unreal. I think that about said it all. In case that's not enough, the practice told me that it would be a 30-day waiting period for them to even give me an estimate on the work they suggested. That's not true, because multiple dentists (past and present) have been able to give me an estimate before I walked out of the office. Then, the practice tried to pass me off to a specialist, and when I asked for more information, they didn't answer. I sent one final email after the fact for additional clarification, and no surprise, it went unanswered. You decide. There are hundreds of dentists to choose from in Las Vegas. If you want someone who greets you, is polite, listens, and has compassion, then you do NOT want to go to this office. I can't for the life of me imagine why someone would go into a profession helping people with such a disturbing, hateful, and low vibrational demeanor. Waste of my time taking off work....will definitely not return So I got an appointment a while back for a simple teeth cleaning. Provided my insurance information and filed out the paperwork. Although everyone was nice over the phone, I ran into the issue when I went in on the day of my appt. I got greeted and seated and after filling out some paperwork, I was told that so needed to pay $175 for an exam and that they would not proceed if I didn't. Not a single mention of this on the phone when I made my appointment way back. They lure you into their office, get you all ready and have you fill out everything and then they drop this on you...lol...no thanks. The receptionist was INCREDIBLY rude and had absolutely no patience for what is otherwise a stressful thing to go in and get scheduled. Did not want to work with me on dates. We are new to the Las Vegas area and I was dealing with a lot of dental maintenance back in California that I didn't want to fall behind on. My fiance' found Dr Cohan after doing lot of research. He went first and was very happy, I booked a cleaning a few days later. First thing I noticed was that they actually make appointments and that appointment slot is just for you. They don't triple book and make you wait, your appointment is the time they take you back. The Dr is all yours during that time. I never felt rushed , they book the appointments accurately for the exact treatments you are doing. So rare. The office is beautiful and spotless and the waiting room is totally empty, for the reasons mentioned above. Dr Cohan is lovely, she really listens and really cares about helping you achieve your dental goals. Lanie at the front desk is lovely and and always helpful. My visit today was absolutely amazing with Covid I expected everyone to be all paranoid but they follow the rules of Covid impeccably while making you feel welcome too!! They only had one patient in the office at a time which was kind of nice seeing as sometimes Dentists will triple or quadruple their schedule and just pop back-and-forth between clients leaving you sitting there for hours on end. That was not my experience with Dr. Cohen and her amazing office manager, Lani. I felt very welcome and in addition I had to have two tooth extractions. The doc numbed, which was a surprise because usually my old dentist would have an assistant come in and do it and then leave me sitting there for 30 minutes. She numbed me and had the tooth extractions done in under 10 minutes. I highly recommend this office they have class style and the office is beautiful. I have a major fear of dentistry and I've just dedicated myself to having a lot of dental work done and I'm not even scared at all. in fact I'm very excited to have a beautiful mouth again! The most amazing thing to me is that they also do cosmetic dentistry and Botox and filler so that if you have bone loss in your mouth for not having teeth there you leave looking years younger, I've seen all of the before and after pictures they have on the wall and I can't wait to see myself in one of those before and after pictures!!!! read more

Pro- Dr Marianne Cohen's office is incredibly chic, and staff are welcoming and polite. Con- Doctor was extremely hard sell. To the point where I left even though they charged me for dental cleaning yet didn't perform the services. Within 10 minutes into our appointment, she was already pushing for deep scale cleaning (even though I regularly do cleaning every 6 months) and claiming my calculus buildup was hereditary and surely my mother must still not have all her teeth. I was slightly offended here but still continued with the conversation. Then she pushed for invisalign TWICE after I declined and stated I didn't have a wish for braces since I had them 10 years ago. Then she moved onto how "loose" my two lower front teeth were, and at this point I was getting uncomfortable with how strong her sales tactics were. I asked just to have my teeth cleaned and at this, the Doctor refused to do my regular cleaning, and told me I'd have to do a deep cleaning. They gave me a projected invoice for treatment, $277 per quadrant so $1108 total and it just "so happened" their next patient cancelled so they were planning to do this treatment right away for the full mouth. At no point during this was I consenting, so I left the office that day with only the x-rays and "exam" done, but was charged for the full service plus regular dental cleaning. But let me be clear, absolutely NO dental cleaning was performed. All in all, if you are impressed with luxury boutique offices and are looking to get a lot of cosmetic dental work done, AND have unlimited cheddar to throw down, you will be absolutely loved by this Summerlin office. But if you are one with common sense and prone to getting second opinions after smelling something fishy, then take my advice and don't even walk in those doors. read more

I am leaving 2 stars because my experience wasn't the best. Pros: The receptionist was nice and the dental assistant Ashley was a sweetheart. I was welcomed upon my arrival. I actually came in 15 minutes early and they took me in immediately. I was so happy and relieved - there was no wait time since I was the only patient there. The office was gorgeous and clean. Also it was pretty easy to find with plenty of parking . It's across from Boca park in a very nice plaza. Plus it's close to my house. So I purchased a Groupon for an exam, x-rays and cleaning. I wasn't expecting any deep cleaning but a 10 minute cleaning is all it was. Not enough. I normally get a 30 minute cleaning everwhere else I go. What made me kinda upset was how the doctor criticized the work done by my dentists back home. Just because I'm from Eastern Europe, it doesn't mean all dentists suck there. That's exactly how she made it sound. I go to a private clinic in Bratislava which I & my whole family trust, they have excellent ratings, state of the art equipment and certainly are not cheap. Yes, cheaper than here in The U.S. but not cheap! It was the way this doctor talked to me, it didn't make me feel comfortable and as if I was wasting her time. I am a person who takes care of her dental needs but she didn't mention one positive thing to me. All I was looking for was a kind & gentle dentist. More for my husband who needs some major work done ( 7 implants - we won't be getting those done in Europe since we only travel once a year ) Thank you for a referral to an orthodontist and a small goodie bag. read more

This was probably THE worst experience I have ever had at the dentist. I am new in Las Vegas and was looking for a dentist. So I went to Groupon and came across this place. I called and asked if they would rather I purchased a Groupon or they would honor the price.They said it didn't matter, so I decided to just pay them direct. The woman on the phone was lovely, very helpful and friendly. I came for my appointment and the dental assistant, who was also very sweet and gentle took my x-rays and whatever else. Then the fun started...the doctor came in. She looked at my x-rays and listed a whole slew of things that "I needed", like, for example, putting a crown on a tooth that is just barely starting to decay....REALLY????????? The tooth where I lost a filling also "needed" a crown and when I asked to fill it, she said no. But the "cherry on a cake" was when she told me that I have a pocket 5 mm deep which is 1/2". I grew up with metric system, so I KNOW that 5 mm is not 1/2", it is 1/4", but she started arguing with me to the point where she actually Googled it. That was not enough and she continued to argue. I got my phone out and showed her that 1"=2.54 cm=25.4 mm, therefore, 5 mm is not even a 1/4" but 1/5 th. She got REALLY annoyed with me, got snippy and told me that she cannot do cleaning in one day that it will take two visits. I asked why and she told me that because I have pockets, I require deep cleaning and told me that she was born and raised in US and knows what she is talking about. When she realized that she could not sell me anything, she said that she can only do a basic cleaning and was done with me in literally 5-7 min. She left the room barely sayng "good bye". Now I have not had my teeth cloeaned in a long time, so I know a thorough cleaning should have taken way longer than that. After all that I still have to go to the dentist and have quality work done on me. I have read reviews and apparently I am not the only one that had this experience. So, if you are reading this, BEWARE!!!! She is horrible! read more

Called this dentist's office after finding it on Groupon. Glad I didn't buy the Groupon. First off, the person who answered the phone said I didn't have to use the Groupon, that they would honor the discounted price advertised (not allowed by Groupon - against their policy). After finding out they could give me an appointment next week, she started asking questions about my dental health, which at the moment is fine. She asked if I thought I would need a deep cleaning in which I told her I didn't think so since it has only been 6 months since my last cleaning. She then asked me if I've ever had a deep cleaning, and my answer was yes, about 20 years ago. She then told me that they could not make this appointment in case I needed a deep cleaning. In which I asked "how are you going to know that if you don't have an examination to determine that"? She said it would be illegal to do that. Huh? What? Yeah, at $200 per quadrant ($800 for the deep cleaning!) it finally dawned on me that they will rip you off whenever they can. Read other comments here.
