These guys have had three of my antique clocks for over a year. I went in 4 months ago and got a song and dance about my repair ticket being dropped to the bottom of the pile somehow. We took my mom's treasured Danneker banjo wall clock to be repaired here over the weekend. We were pleasantly surprised to walk into a room filled from floor to ceiling with clocks of all sizes and shapes, all ticking away-- it was really a lovely display. Even better, we had arrived on the hour and got to hear a little "2 o'clock show" of the various clocks chiming. There was also a beautiful arrangement of older pocket watches suspended in a cabinet. They correctly identified my mom's clock on sight, gave us a receipt, an estimate ($350 to $400 for a complete take apart, clean, and fix), and told us it would probably take about three months. This is fine with us, we certainly have some time on our hands, pun intended. We look forward to coming back in 3 months or so to Stephens & Stephens Clocks in Havre de Grace, Maryland! read more

Just had a mantle clock restored and Stevens & Stevens was great. I inherited the 100 year old clock from my grandfather and it was in rough shape. They got it running great, refinished the wood, and had a local artist repaint the dial. Couldn't be happier with the service. read more

Really nice people who we trust with very expensive items We have met multiple people in the shop and really like dealing with them all! We recently have worked with Mr. Stephenson himself as well was Brad. Again, really smart, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We have taken multiple clocks to them that have been in our family for generations and they have done an amazing job each time! We also took a really old and rare music box to them, and they are redoing the music box for us. It really helps that we found a place that we can totally trust. Just look on google and try to find a place that can work on old music boxes. In addition to being a place to trust for repairs, they also have an excellent selection of really old and rare clocks that they sell. Ranging from amazing Grandfather clocks, to wall clocks to mantel clocks. If you tell them what you are looking for, they can find it. Again, when this team works on these items they look amazing and work very well when they are done. John Stephens is the best at this trade in Maryland! My father who has a home full of antique clock always uses him and so do I. Have had 2 complete over hauls of my 1880's clocks. I live in HdG and try and support local businesses whenever possible. However, my exerience with S&S was very unsatisfactory. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for watch repair. I brought in a Tissot watch for battery replacement and was told they needed to order the "newfangled" battery since they did not stock. It would only take 1 or 2 days I was told. Seven days later I called and was told the "watch repair guy" wasn't working today-could I call back tomorrow? On day NINE I went to pick up my watch, ready or not, since no one ever bothered to call me with repair status. I was told they were not able to open the back of the watch and would have to take someplace else for battery replacement. I found this interesting since the "watch repair guy" opened the back of the watch on the initial to see what kind of battery was needed for replacement. They outright LIED to me and I have since taken the watch elsewhere for evaluation to determine if S&S damaged the watch. These people are incompetent and dishonest. Save time and money and take your watch to Aberdeen or Bel Air for repair. The local-yokels at S&S are neither trust worthy nor competent. read more

Such a great little shop...staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a cuckoo clock with a broken chain, they repaired it in no time. Also, they had the patience of a Saint with my 6yo who wanted to touch everything in the store while we waited! I would do the 30min drive any day for that kind of service. read more
