Falafel plate was served with a side Greek salad
    Cheryl R.

This former Souplantation has been transformed into a Greek destination with large-scale murals, white tablecloths and a showcase bar. The cavernous space is perfect for large gatherings. Our server was pleasant and very attentive. My Greek salad was huge and beautiful. The gyro meat was hot but not overdone. Tzatziki was one of the best I've ever had. My friend's falafel plate was equally beautiful with fries, pita, tahini, hummus and tzatziki, served with her own Greek salad. She commented that the falafel were a bit dry. Again, the serving portion was generous. I was impressed during my lunch visit and intend to return for dinner.

Stopped in for lunch and the salad was good but the chicken was kind of bland. The food is definitely not worth what they charge. Also the service is extremely slow and the restaurant's layout for some reason feels way too big. It's a big, awkward set up. I will not be returning.

Don't listen to these bad reviews, just try it for yourself. We went on a Tuesday night and the place was empty. We got extraordinary service from Shawn. The wine pours were huge and delicious. And the food was very good. I got the gyro $21, it and the fries & salad it came with were great. See for yourself!

Bonnie and went to Stephen's Grill in Camarillo yesterday around 4:30 in the afternoon and Sat at the bar. The restaurant has lots of full and half booths and there are live plants and flowers, and the walls are decorated with murals of Mediterranean landscapes. Our bartender Jenny was fantastic and made our drinks to perfection. I really liked their glasses, Bonnie had a pomegranate martini, and I had my standard dirty martini. Now for the food. we are familiar with the location in Ventura, and the Camarillo location has what they serve and more. The Camarillo location has more emphasis on the Grill section of their menu. We ordered the Dolmades with meat; the picture we uploaded of them was after we had eaten half of it. The reason I mention that is because it had plenty of Pita bread and Tzatziki sauce served with the Dolmades and there were 6 of them. They were perfect, we loved the lemon dill sauce. We also ordered the Lucas Special which comes with Chicken Souvlaki, Gyro meat and your choice of side and a Greek salad or soup. The Chicken was cooked perfectly and so was the Gyro meat. I like the Chef Kazo sauce that was served with the souvlaki. The traditional souvlaki is olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic, Greek oregano and lemon. I think he just added smoked paprika to that and maybe a little red wine vinegar. You don't normally see a red souvlaki. We also ordered the Moussaka, which is kind of a Greek lasagna with eggplant substituted for pasta. It was very good and authentic; they nailed the bechamel sauce (white) and the Kima me domata sauce (red) was very flavorful. The portions were huge and we took enough home for another meal. We are so happy they finally opened and we plan on spending lots of time with Jenny at the bar.

So happy to have this Geek/ Mediterranean restaurant in town. Fresh and delicious! Can't wait to return and try more dishes. So far the moussaka, lamb chops chicken Parmesan and soup and salads were fantastic. Did not explore but full bar with big variety and drink options Great happy hour spot to try.

For a newly opened restaurant in Camarillo, this place was operating pretty smooth on Mother's Day. They did not have my reservation for 6 even though I made it via phone a week beforehand. But we were quickly taken care of and the manager put a table together for us. For Sunday, brunch buffet is the only option. I liked the selection of food because it allowed us to sample many brunch items for $30, but the $30 price tag is steep if you have children that don't eat much (no children price) and drinks were not included (except for water and coffee). The ambiance is higher end restaurant with wine glasses on every table, but it stilled felt like the old Souplantation inside due to a lot of noise in an open dining room concept. The buffet area was also very small and cramped, despite its many offerings. We probably won't return to Sunday Brunch since our daughters won't enjoy it much and plan to visit again for lunch or dinner to experience their normal menu.

We arrived last night at 9:15 pm thinking that they closed at 11:00 pm, they ignored us at the entrance, we thought we should go inside, the waitress Christie, then stopped us, and with a cold attitude told us that we should order immediately because the kitchen closed in 10 minutes. We asked about the schedule, but he said that we could only sit at the bar, that the dining area was already closed. The truth is, it was very annoying, we were celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary and we wanted a special dinner, we understand the weather, but I think that in 45 minutes we would have had a good time to enjoy dinner at a normal table. Very unpleasant experience, We had previously been having dinner and the waiter (I don't remember his name) was very warm and attentive.

Went to lunch the other day, order a $22 cheese hamburger, it was pitiful. It was not hot enough to melt the cheese, the patty was size of McD burger. The taste was nothing, no seasoning. Hope they get better

Stopped by Stephen's with my family on a Saturday night. Despite the restaurant seeming to be slow it took 20 to 30 minutes it receive fountain drinks and even more considerable amount of time to receive our food and when it did arrive the shrimp on one of the plates was still raw. The service itself is just fine but unfortunately it seems like our server was scrambling while what appeared to be the owners just continued to stroll around and talk to tables. Definitely think the staff could use some more help. Owners definitely need to change something at this spot, I was excited to hear about a Greek spot opening up in the neighborhood but this didn't hit the mark. (P.S. the Greek meatballs are bland and cost 38 bucks, not worth).

When we got there it was still lunch time so we were able to get the lunch special: which comes with a meal of your choice with soup or salad , and one side. It's a great deal! All the dishes price points are spot on and for the amount of food it's amazing! So we ordered L BBQ Chicken chopped salad to go , 1Pulled Pork Sliders, Cesar salad with corn for the side . We also got LCAB cheeseburger sliders with Lauren's favorite Mac & Cheese, I also added another side mash potatoes with cheese. So when we made the trip to Ventura to pick up some prime Grandma Chic furniture for the most beautiful woman in the world, there was zero chance we weren't making a Finney's stop. While the girls did their thrift-shopping thing, my son-in-law and I held down the patio with a couple hazy IPAs and some quality relaxation. The staff was all over it in the best way -- attentive, friendly, and more than willing to come admire the puppy. We kicked things off with the bone-in honey chicken wings, which absolutely did their job. Then it was on to the mains: my go-to prosciutto and arugula pizza, Neeko's Peggy's chicken, MBWITW's usual salad, and a burger for Crazy Kid #2. This place just doesn't miss. There's a reason we come here 5-6 times a month. Great food, great drinks, great vibe, fair prices, and consistently good service. That's a hard combo to beat. Finney's is one of those places you keep going back to because it always delivers. And it does.

On a Saturday for lunch we waited about ten minutes for a table for three. There is indoor and outdoor seating. But note that a lot of the indoor seating is high tops. Our waiter was super nice and attentive. The food wasn't bad. I do, by principal, hate places that don't just include the side of fries with your burger. But my turkey burger did taste good. I would say the only good thing we weren't as impressed with was the margarita pizza. It was a flatbread and honestly a little bland. But the pretzel appetizer was fun how it came with the savory and sweet dipping options. They could put the pretzel with the caramel on a dessert menu and I would get it.
