Going to give Green Olive 5 stars today. They teetered between 4-5 stars but at the end of the day, we have limited Mediterranean restaurants in the area so I will be more generous with my scoring. My feedback is limited as I ended up ordering food from here to be delivered. So I can't speak to the shopping experience, interior of the restaurant or customer service. I will say when my food arrived the order was correct and the food was nicely packaged. The portions to go are generous and that made me happy as well. Some places you need to dine in to get suitable portions but here they are generous regardless if you dine in or away. I ordered the gyro meat plate. Truly exceptional and delicious. The plate was loaded with fresh yellow rice, double hummus (my choice) and a mountain of gyro meat. All of these bites were 5/5. The gyro meat was flavorful and their hummus is amazing. Definitely glad I double downed on having hummus as my sides. The one bummer critique I had and which normally I would give less stars for was that their pita bread was almost inedible. Unfortunately the batch I was given couldn't have been made same day. It wasn't fresh but worse then that it was stale and hard. I tossed it. Wasn't a good experience but the rest of the food made up for it. The shrimp and filet mignon were both sooooOoo juicy. The shrimp was seasoned perfectly and the filet had a nice char on the outside!! They could've told us but no, we had to do two different transactions cause we didn't know.. It's just a very, very confusing set up so if you're looking to go on a date like I was on a date do not ever go here!!!!!! Hard to find! You're pissed off by the time you do find them, especially if you're on a date when you walk in there's no rhyme or reason you have no freaking clue as to what you're supposed to do. You will likely have two or three transactions at the Liquor Store register because the restaurant doesn't do that. You will wait forever for your food most likely and the most important thing. The pita bread sucks because the pita it's like cardboard and it's cold. and the hummus wasn't that great either and cold. After recently new onset illness requiring a Mediterranean / low carb diet we gave it another try. Hands down best Mediterranean food I've ever had! This was my second time in and I bought a couple of large orders of hummus for a party and everyone commented how good it was. While picking the hummus up, I decided to try a chicken kebab and rice. I am picky about kebabs and prefer breast meat. The kebab was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I wish I had ordered more. The rice had lots of satisfying spice, no boring rice here. Everything was excellent and this will be my go to Mediterranean spot in Cam. My only minor complaint is that they don't offer fries lol. Located in the Village Mart liquor/convenience store, Green Olive is a low-key spot serving up some tasty eats. Prices were good and you can eat outside on the patio or take it to go. Lastly, I wanted to brag on their customer service. I had my two toddlers with me and they were anything but quiet and sweet. The staff were understanding and even engaged with them.
