It's 6 years old and the icemaker stopped producing ice. The Tech's name is Tom. He was on time. He was courteous, professional and went right to work. He took the icemaker apart and found the problem. He said he would try to do a temporary fix, which he did. The icemaker actually worked for a couple of days before shutting down again. He further informed me that he had to order the parts to complete the fix properly. Once the parts came in (2-3 days) he returned to complete the repair. He cleaned up after himself and asked if we had any concerns. He left his business card with us in case we needed to call for any recurring concerns. I would definitely request "Tom" from Bell's for any appliance service.

Whirlpool range first technician came in September 2024 had to replace the control board on the…read morerange. We use this only to bake cookies at Christmas time. It worked perfectly in December of last year this year we went to use it and the clock went out and we were not able to access the oven so we called Island Appliance. They came out the next day and the technician took five screws out three in the front two on the sides, and when he took it out the wire, it was wiggling the wires and the clock would come on and off, so he knew it was a loose wire so he secured it with a couple of zip ties and I was charged $138 for diagnosis which he did not perform and then charge me an additional $80 to for yesterday's labor and I don't feel that I should have to pay the $80 because the first technician did not secure the wise properly I spoke to management I spoke to the owner. The finish lasted two years and then completely peeled off. Realizing the warranty had expired, we spoke with Mr. Major who tried to obtain a new chair on our behalf. The mfg refused to do anything but Major offered us a new (different) chair at a nicely reduced price and also gave us a break on the price of delivery and haul-away. These days, when the bottom line is regarded as most important it's really nice to be treated to top notch customer service.

He then "ordered" a new motor and shroud and charged me ($900+) as agreed. It is December 8th 2024 as I write this and I still do not have the new blower motor and shroud. I still have the used components installed on my air-handler. I have contacted him numerous times, he has responded with various excuses and even admitted to "having forgotten about us.", and recently has said he was in a car accident and would see about getting someone out to install. (That was over a month ago). I think I have been more than patient with this guy, I try to give small business owners the benefit of the doubt and prefer to use them if possible. Lesson learned though. Advice to new customers... go ahead and pay the bigger company. You will save money and time. We will have to go the legal route to get our product or refund...sad, but the world is full of dishonest folks trying to get your $. I don't think running a business is Kevin's primary concern.
