Whereas it has always taken 3.5-4 hours in the past. I found them doing nothing multiple times. They had a bad attitude, walked very slowly, and heavily smelled like weed. The team (Ruben and Omar) showed up right on time and immediately made a great impression--they were friendly, courteous, and very respectful. Moving can be stressful, but they brought a calm, professional energy that made the whole process feel much more manageable. What really stood out was how careful they were. They worked efficiently, but never rushed in a way that felt careless. Everything was thoughtfully packed onto the trailer and then unpacked into the new home with the same level of attention. Nothing was broken or damaged, which was incredibly important to us. They were also very clean and organized, and just genuinely nice people to be around. It made a big difference. The larger trucks have dynamic cruise control that will maintain a perfect distance to the vehicle ahead of you. Our 20-footer had a separate light switch on the cab to control lighting on the cargo hold. That was nice. You don't need to use the battery on cab lights while you're loading or unloading. The translucent roof lets enough light in to be very useful in the daytime. Note that a Penske 12- foot truck has roughly the same cargo space as a UHaul 15-footer, as UHaul counts the "Momma's Attic" space, even though it's only a few feet high. Keep that in mind when comparing pricing. We've used Penske three times now for three-day long-hauls (interstate/cross county) and will use for any future move, too.
