Alix and his dedicated crews have moved us several times, as well as some of our friends, over the last 8 or 9 years. We're in the oil patch and move A LOT. Alix is a Mover's mover. He knows everything there is to know about this business. From packing and economizing space to planning routes, times, and rendezvous. We've also needed to move to TWO places at once. And Alix had it all coordinated ON THE TRUCK so it would off-load at the right place. We do NOT move like normal people. We have sudden moves that leave us packing up most of the house and leaving things like a houseful of lamps and tools and knick-knacks for the moving crew to pack and/or transport. This company cancelled on me days before our move, out of the blue- even after we had been texting the day before about the deposit and the plan. The communication was unclear and disjointed. My mom, a realtor met Alix and used his services twice and highly recommended him. I needed to move items from a small home in South Austin to a storage unit in far North Austin with a stop off to my Dad's to drop off a couple of pieces of furniture. Alix was highly communicative and his team, Kevin and Nestor were excellent! They worked so fast yet with so much care of my items. When they arrived, I already had mostly everything packed up and wrapped (mirrors and breakables) but they could have done it themselves. They had all of the necessary padding and blankets. They worked so efficiently and even beat me to my dad's somehow, in rush hour traffic! And like expert Tetris players, they fit everything in my storage unit in a manner that would allow me to still walk in and easily access my items. Price was reasonable and I paid with Zelle. Super easy. I plan on using them again. They also will pick-up junk and remove it, for a fee of course. read more

Pricing is competitive and clear-cut. On my second move, I was only 70% packed when they showed up, on the verge of a breakdown, and they still made it work. I used Night and Day twice. Once to move stuff from our house to storage and the other from the storage unit to our new place. Their prices are fair and they worked hard. I watched 2 other companies when we were at the storage unit and the apartment complex. Both companies had guys walk pretty slow in between trips. These guys had hustle in their step. My only suggestion is that they call about 15 or 20 minutes before arrival but other than that, they were great! I would definitely hire them again. Ask for Taylor to be the lead guy. He'll get it done quickly and correctly. But the other 2 guys that were there did a great job as well. read more

A friend of mine was moving house but couldn't fit all of her stuff into her new place. She offered me her mattress, box set, and frame, plus a couple lamps and an office chair. She's way north, I'm way south. I pulled a bunch of numbers from craigslist, and Alix's was the first one I tried. We had to coordinate with my friend to establish pickup time, so it was a little complicated. Anyway, worked it all out in one phone call. He kept both me and my friend updated. The bed frame was knocked down, but when I got home, I saw the mattress and box spring resting atop the frame. Nice touch. This is the most unprofessional sketchy company I have had the displeasure of doing business with. They damaged our bedroom furniture and Television. When we informed them that day they took over a week to get back to us. They then tried to blame the tv on us. They are insured by some po dunk insurance company. Save yourself the headache. I've done my third move with night and day now and I can't be any happier with their service! Communication is so easy, each time I've sent a text, I've gotten a fast response. They're very good about next day requests too. They're so friendly and no job is too big or too complicated for them. The first move, I needed them to pick stuff up from my apartment and also a storage unit. The second time I needed the storage unit moved to a garage. And this last move required heavy wooden furniture moved to my new place. Every time, they brought their own dollies and furniture pads. All my stuff was well cared for like it was their own!! And they finish so fast, from start to finish it never took more than two hours, that's with placing the furniture where you want it and re-assembly too!!! Do not hire this company. They have no integrity. They damaged my new gate with their truck and took an attachment to one of my kitchen appliances. I reached out multiple times to try and find a resolution and they ghosted me. Not a good way to run a business. So disappointing. read more

Alix and his crew were fantastic. They were prompt and showed up exactly at the time they had said they would and started working in a methodical manner to get all the stuff out. They packaged all the furniture in plastic or blankets and transported them into the truck. They also took extra care on the boxes marked fragile. I moved from a 3rd floor apt in Nee Braunfels to a 2nd floor apartment in Buda and they were able to get all my boxes and furniture into my new apartment in two and half hours! They were very friendly and more over, the rates were extremely good! Not many places specialize in a fixed rate and after shipping around, we found that these guys were the most competitive. I had a horrible experience. I had a 3 man crew and one had a horrible work ethic. They even threw my couch pillows from the 3rd floor to the bottom because he didn't want to walk down the stairs. They dissembled the mirror to my dresser and didn't bother to reassemble it. I had no idea where they put the screws so my mirror was just sitting on my dresser for months with no reinforcement to keep it from falling off. They would only move up to a certain amount of boxes with the quote he gave us so my husband and I had to move about half of the boxes on our own. It was awful. Never again. The only good thing I can say is Alex was a hard worker. read more

I planned a move 5 weeks in advance. Things turned with my roommate and it needed to be moved up. I called them a week after setting the date and asked them if they could do it "tomorrow." I should also note that tomorrow was a holiday. They found a way to get me in the next day. They we professional, they were very close to their estimate. (I blame the extra time on the sudden change and not being as well packed) they were careful with everything. They followed the rules; they wouldn't transport my propane gas tanks, etc. I used to remodel homes and I know a little bit about following the rules. They were very friendly and I felt comfortable tipping each mover $20 even though it wasn't expected. They are a true local business and I would support them. read more

They are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!!! We hired them today for moving a 3 piece couch from Round Rock to North Austin. They arrived perfectly on time, they took the couch apart in seconds. They moved all 3 pieces together, we did not have to move a screw. Their price is amazing. Letting them do the job for you cost less than 2 chiropractor appts and in case you hurt yourself, they won't fix you with 2 meetups, for sure. Not mentioning all the stuff they used to do it safely! And it cost you big time and money to fix the painting on the door, door frame, wall or scratch the floor... etc. They covered the door frame, the couch with thick fabric so everything would stay harmless. They work fast, are super kind, polite and they answer all your questions. I'm sure in case we'll need movers again, I'll go with them. I was a little nervous to hire a moving company off of Craigslist but I was on a tight budget. To my surprise this was the best moving experience I have ever had. They were on time, professional, and accommodating. They moved me from pflugerville to Austin. From a second apartment to a third floor for a flat rate. No surprises or surcharges at the end. I also enjoyed not having to lift a finger. They disconnect and reconnected my washer and dryer. The broke the bed down and put it back together with no issues. They had their own tools and truck. I picked Night & Day Moving from a craigslist ad when I was really pressed for time & needed a lot of help. Alex was *very* communicative, understanding and kind. I'm disabled and needed extra help, and they provided it. They accommodated all my requests and addressed my concerns sincerely. The movers kept in touch with me when they needed to make a quick stop to eat on their way out. And when they got there, they were super polite, good listeners, incredibly hard workers, and just so helpful. I've been lucky enough to have great movers before, but honestly, these guys might have been the best. They even charged me less than the estimate! Alix is a wonderful and honest person. Unfortunately, he is not alone in moving. His workers were less than stellar and my piano was not well treated. In addition, his workers used rooms that were taped off. We had the water shut off and bathrooms were not operational. When a worker took the tape off and used the room it was not brought to my attention. They were also three hours late and careless with other things. I called to get a quote from Alix. He set up a meeting with me on a Tuesday at 1030 - 11AM, and I text him after noon and asked if he was still coming. After 130PM he text back telling me their dog had to be put down. I was ok I can understand that and offered to reschedule. We rescheduled for that Thursday and Alix showed up and did the walk through. As he was leaving he told me that he would get me a quote that afternoon or the next day. The next Monday I text him asking if I was going to get a quote...no reply. I asked again on Tuesday and Alix replied telling me there must have been a mix up and he would personally get me a quote that afternoon. It has been a week since he did the walk through and I have not gotten a quote of any kind. It makes me think if he is this flaky in getting me a quote then I would be very worried about him showing up to move me. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I regretted hiring this crew. One of the main crew members had a horrible attitude and work ethic. He seemed cantankerous throughout the move. He unscrewed one of our doors to move a furniture, but never bothered to fix it back properly. To top it off, he took a big dump in my master bathroom and never bothered to flush. They were all pretty lax with my fragile boxes. The whole experience left a bad smell. read more
