I never stated anything about whether your facility was is compliance with state licensing regulations, which are the bare minimum requirments for all licensed child care facilities and nothing to be bragging about. You say things like that your policies are "clearly communicated," with no such explanation of what you mean, when I provided factual details and pages of "critical context." You have now accussed me of "repeated concerns regarding hostile communication and ongoing disruptive interactions with staff." For the prospective families reading this, I implore you, Ms. Peggy, to define what your definitions of "hostile communication" and "ongoing disruptive interactions" and "combative" are. I also give you permission to state what dates and claims about me you are even referring to, but make sure to to include "critical context" without being "inaccurate" or "misleading" when doing so. Parents need to be aware that you were never around during the incidents I described, so you have no basis for knowing whether anything I described was inaccurate. I asked a lot of questions that your staff didn't like and 1st I was called "rude" for it and now that I documented my experiences, you are trying to label me "hostile." Shame on you. Our son just graduated Tiny Thinkers Preschool and is off to TK at a different school and just…read moreafter being at the other school for a week - which is also a paid tuition program - I felt the need to come back here and leave a honest review considering how superior the other school's experience has been just with a slightly higher tuition. Our son was at Tiny Thinkers for over 2 years or so - There are definitely things Tiny Thinkers does well, which is why we kept him at the school -- our son did progress in life skills, for example like potty training, He did learn, the kids seem happy overall, and the campus itself has potential to be fantastic. There's a lot of heart here, and when things are done right, the children benefit from it. That being said, there are areas that really need attention to match the tuition and expectations. Communication and accountability with the teaching staff could be stronger, particularly when it comes to child care knowledge and day-to-day standards. We've had to remind them multiple times about basics like keeping the kids clean and presentable, which has led to several "coaching moments. Cleanliness is another point that could use consistency -- not just the facility, but the children's appearance at pick-up. The school would benefit from investing in more training for teachers -- not just in child development, but in creating an overall experience that parents love, not just tolerate. When teachers are well-trained in both child care and parent communication, it builds confidence so families can feel secure and supported without the need for constant follow-up. Parking can also be frustrating. Without a reasonable grace period for pick-up, parents can feel penalized for situations that are sometimes beyond their control. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because there's definitely room to grow. The foundation is here -- the school just needs to buckle down on these operational details to truly deliver the level of care and professionalism families expect. I realize I'll probably get a diplomatic response to this review from the school director, but this isn't about diplomacy -- it's about truly hearing the feedback and using it to make changes. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn't mean it's the best way. The goal should be to evolve and improve, not to explain away why things are the way they are.

Initially, it was hard imagining handing over the care of our child to someone else. However, fast forward to 6 months later, I think our child gets bored at home on the weekends sometimes and misses his daycare. Occasionally I will have a day off from work (I work full time), but if the daycare is open, I will drop him off so he can have fun and see his pals in daycare for at least part of the day. My son started at their home daycare as an infant. Not a day goes by without him smiling excitedly after Reena opens the door to welcome him. He has never cried once at drop off or pick up. Going to daycare is an absolute delight for him! He enjoys eating her yummy food (some of which are grown organically in her garden...we can't wait for him to try the passionfruit!). He likes interacting with familiar faces because the daycare is an intimate group of about 8 kids, and Reena teaches all of them to be kind and gentle with one another. He loves exploring the toys at her daycare and she provides him developmentally appropriate activities. Every day Reena provides an update about my child's activities including funny anecdotes about him and the other kids he interacts with, his meals/snacks, his naps, and his general mood. These updates end up being very funny and entertaining as not only do Reena and Don have a great sense of humor, but they also absolutely adore the silliness of the kids and find a way to recognize each of their individual personalities. Important tidbits: -Pick up and drop off is pretty quick and easy. Listed hours are 7am to 5:30pm. -This is a state licensed home daycare where CPR training, background checks, annual inspections, and etc are required of the daycare. -Full time enrollment is necessary. The benefit of this is that the number of kids is never over capacity. -Another reviewer astutely mentioned that the daycare takes a good number of holidays off. Reena is upfront about it and personally I think that the time-off is well-deserved because she puts so much energy and passion into the daycare. However, not every family can accommodate the holiday schedule. But if you can swing it, the daycare is worth it! -Homecooked meals and snacks are included and sound so yummy! -Unlike large childcare centers, there is no app to view your child's activities or photos/livestream video. But on the flip side, it feels very personal having a daily report at pick-up from Reena because she knows my child so well. -Communication has always been easy. Reena is very responsive and prompt. -Fees are straightforward and reasonable. There's a one-time registration fee and then weekly fee.

We are so fortunate to have found Reena and Don. She and her staff were like extended family to my girls; it takes a village and trust me you want her and her team as part of your village. My oldest started at 18 months old and my youngest at 5 months old. My girls both adore her and have benefitted immensely from being under her care. Both of them always looked forward to going there every morning. She even helped with potty training which, as you parents know, is a challenge! She was patient with accidents, reassuring us when we got understandably frustrated, and was an immense help in that department. When my oldest started, it was during the pandemic and she had been out of a day care setting for months while everything was locked down, so needless to say she was somewhat difficult since we couldn't really socialize much with social distancing in place. Dali was patient, caring, and understanding with her and helped my little girl adjust to socializing with other children and learning boundaries and discipline in a respectful way. Once she adjusted, she thrived under her care. Prior to starting TK, she knew her letters and numbers and even writing her own name! I was always kept up-to-date on her progress and growth, alerted to any concerns regarding behavior and/or illness, and provided with advice and/or reassurance when facing developmental challenges (at the time, as a first time parent, this meant the world to me). She did this with both of my girls and gave me such great peace of mind when they were under her care. Both my girls were there at the same time at one point when they were too young to start school and she handled them wonderfully. Socializing with new friends, eating nutritious foods, waterplay days during summertime, playtime with fun toys, arts and crafts, games and story time, Dali's day care has it all in a spacious and cozy home that feels like a second home for your kiddos. Like I said, I HIGHLY recommend her day care! :)

My first child was a pandemic baby, she was severely shy and afraid to be away from us, within a couple of months at the nest, her true personality blossomed, she is now in TK and was chosen to be the speaker at her holiday performance, and can already read. I completely attribute these achievements to her time at the nest, where her true potential was developed. My second baby runs in every morning with joy, he has been there since he was 3 months old and has loved every minute of it. My son who is 4 years old started here at the beginning of the school's summer session in late June 2020. I had wanted him to transition to this school from his previous preschool because Devonshire Preschool had such a strong academic program. When I had visited the year before and saw the work the 4 and 5 year olds were producing it was amazing. They were writing 5 letter words, such as "piece" perfectly and doing math and science. My son wanted to learn more and at his previous school there was just a little too much free play, where it felt like the kids were just being babysat and not stimulated with learning and fun activities. When he started I immediately saw a difference. Even during the summer session there was a fun subject theme each week. During Paleontology week they excavated dinosaurs and dinosaur bones out of sand and ice cubes and learned about fossils. During Pioneer week they churned fresh butter and sifted through dirt to find gold nuggets. During Impressionist Art Week they learned about Piet Mondrian, Robert Kree and Jackson Pollack and made amazing paintings that look just like the artists' paintings. When he came home and showed me the paintings he was so excited and he even taught me about the artists. I only knew about Jackson Pollack. During Health week they learned about the different organs in the body with a fun "Pin the organ" on the kids activity. Hel was loving his teachers, the kids and all the new activities. The academic school year started in late August and by the end of September he could write the alphabet by memory. He soon started to learn to write words and by early December he was reading words. He is now reading full stories, writing four letter words, can count to 100 and write all the numbers up to 100 and is doing math (basic addition and subtraction) which is his favorite subject. During the academic year there are still a lot of fun creative activities the kids do. Last week they built tee pees with sticks outside and did an experiment with eggs and the colors they turn when you put them in different drinks, so you can see how different drinks may effect the color of your teeth. The school is health conscious and doesn't allow the kids to bring snacks with more than 8 grams of sugar to school. And yes with all this the kids still get to play a ton! My son has made some wonderful friends in the 7 months he's been there and we have made friends with a lot of the parents too. We even have been setting up regular playdates at playgrounds with some of them during this COVID pandemic so the kids really get to have fun with each other and be kids during this tough time. The school has been really safe during COVID. There have been no outbreaks. The kids are really good about wearing their masks and honestly my son who usually got a runny nose at least once a month and a fever once every three months when going to day care has not had any since he started at Devonshire Preschool. He is healthier than ever. The ownership just recently changed, but the new owners are keeping everything the same and really seem like a lovely couple that really care about the school, the teachers, the parents and the kids. This school has really been a blessing. We are so thankful our son is lucky enough to go here and just hope that his future schools will live up to it
